I just took the clear bra off my 20 year old Lexus. The part on the hood was really cracking and looked dirty. After checking out TH-cam videos on what they do, I got started. I found that yes a hair dryer will work BUT I took my wife’s Oreck floor steamer to it and started scraping it off. Only steamer I had but it took a lot less time that way than with just the hair dryer.
I picked up a 2011 camry with some sort of shit like this on the front and I’ve tried heat gun / steam cleaner and it would take 1 year to get it all off. Complete bs

I'm looking for more info on the UGLY SHIELD REMOVAL. Will this work on any paint. Or is this just for RV paint. I have a 2006 Volvo XC90 that came with the factory PPF film on the hood, front bumper cover and the bottom of the back passenger doors. I tried to remove it with a heat gun and plastic scraper and it got tacky from positioning the heat gun too close. I want to find another solution other than sending my vehicle into a body shop and spending thousands of dollars. How can I purchase this product.
would this be the same process for removing a wrap 12-14 years old? Looking at buying an old sprinter and wrap looks to be baked on in some spots… Any help would be appreciated.
If you sharpen with sandpaper properly you won't scratch paint but you do have to be extra careful with 2012 and newer paint the clear coat is softer hope this helps thanks for your comment Wayne uglyshieldremoval.com
LOL just use pressure washer .......... OMG you guys not experience.... Check some youtubes on this they have worse that this even not removable by heat gun but with pressure washer easy to remove

On our Tiffin, under the passenger side mirror, it has an emblem stating it's 'Diamond Shield'.
3m always have been installed on older monacos but somtimes diamond shield will be installed if replaced

I had the 3m film on my denali from 2012 to 2024 and it never cracked or molded underneath. It just peeled a bit at the edges. 🤷♂️

what temperature to remove ?
If you never do stuff like this get a heat gun with different temperature settings. This way you don’t take mess up anything.

This is the quickest way. It sucks, I dunno why people use these clear bras.
You 'can' hire someone to do it, but that is certainly going to cost you too. It's stated, it takes about 8 hours to do the full front of a motorhome.
