Some of the most beautiful country God ever created... sometimes just getting to the woods is enough to remind us about life.
    Thank you sir.

And if you turn north, you will run into my personal bucket list , the arctic charr of the lower Mackenzie! One of the most gorgeous and hardest fighting salmonids. Your uncle's legacy lives on when you share his wisdom with us. thank you!

WoW Randy, amazing stories and mini history class about the mountains in order to set the stage for an amazing show. Thanks for sharing the story of Uncle Elton Randy. Hunting and the Outdoors for sure provides another way of living and not just breathing. I mentioned before and I always will: You motivated me into trying hunting again and it became my therapy for my PTSD. I was in a bad place mentally but hunting and the outdoors saved my life. Finally, after 23 years of Army service and 8 deployments overseas, I retired from the Army last June. I'm grateful of any opportunities of going up in the mountains where I can recharge my batteries to continue with our Day-in-Day-out life. Thank you, Randy and crew, for these amazing videos, stories and motivation to keep hunting and living, NOT JUST BREATHING 💪👊🦌😎can't wait for the next EP

Thanks for the little history lesson on the fur trade and Alexander Mackenzie! I teach my 7th grade social studies class about the Northwest Passage (or lack of) and the fur trade every year. I'll gladly be adding this little tidbit to my lesson this year. Best show ever!

Your uncle Elton reminds me of my father-in-law. He left the family farm and went off to serve in WWII. When the war was over, he came home and married and raised three kids. He worked for the railroad for 40+ years. All hours and most holidays. He was a wonderful grandpa to my two boys. All he wanted was to see his family happy and together. His goal was to retire, buy a small camper and travel the country, mostly the West. But God had other plans, and just within a year of retiring he died of colon cancer. My wife and I moved from Georgia to Montana 28 years ago, in a way fulfilling some of his dream. My dream has been to hunt and fish all over the NW and Canada, and by God’s Grace I’ve done it. Now that I’m ready for the rocking chair at 80, I get to enjoy your world. Thank you Randy, for doing and showing the way of love and how it’s best done with people who have the heart for the life we all love.

You're a lucky man, Randy! I spent many years flying into and working in Norman Wells, the surrounding Sahtu (Indigenous) communities, and further north, the Gwich'in and Inuvialuit communities in the Mackenzie Delta and Beaufort Region with my negotiations teams, negotiating various self-government agreements (modern Treaties) as the lead negotiator on behalf of the Government of Canada, with those groups and with the Government of the Northwest Territories. I've flown over some of that backcountry terrain in the Mackenzie mountains west of Norman Wells - it's breathtaking. I'm retiring at the end of this month after 32 years of combined federal public service and Canadian Armed Forces service. Sure hope I get to go back up there again someday. I'd love to hunt caribou up there.

That’s a sign that my liver condition is flaring up. When I get high toxin loads it disrupts my motor function, most noticeable with shaking and tremors. That’s usually when Marcus sends me to the tent to hydrate and medicate 😉.

Most Canadians can’t even afford to do these hunts anymore. Have to get a guide and they quoted me over 35000 American just for a caribou hunt then a 10-20% tip. The prices are ridiculous imo
