Update: Some people in comments say that YG is doing it for the safety of the artists. We all know that artists are investment for companies. How would we feel if our parents would control where we go, if they wouldn't let us drive a car because we might die in an accident, if they would forbid us to go on dates because it might have a negative impact on us/our studies etc? YG and other companies don't care about artists, they just don't want their money making machines to stop working. I am not against YG but let's say things as they are. "Social Responsibility" is a new concept and not common in Asian countries. i love 2ne1 and bigbang so much but you can easily see...they kinda ruined it for everyone else...like if bigbang hadn't gotten into so many scandals and i guess bomie hadn't gotten into her scandal, i feel like YG would be more trusting and open but now he has to expect the worst and accommodate for the worst. Like other agencies are a bit more lenient because its worked for them. YG used to be really lenient and it backfired on him.
