    Apologies, I'm very new here, what do you mean by master image? is it your local computer where you downloading fslogix ? then installing it on client machine?

    Do the office 365 containers not exist anymore?

    What's the best way to migrate a bunch of local or roaming profiles to FSLogix?

    . The content is really good but i can barely see the video. Is there a better resolution available?

    Hi, excellent explanation. Could you please help me to figure out below errors in my environment (WS2016 + Profile container only)
    Errors
    1. Creating new user profile disk (user's registry hive was missing) (The system cannot find the file specified.)
    2. Error removing profile key (The system cannot find the file specified.)
    3. Export registry failure (Incorrect function.)
    The above three error I am getting for some users. Please help me to resolve the matter.
    Many thanks.
    SM

      Check the FSLogix Containers logs in %ProgramData%\FSLogix\Logs\Profile for more info - the logs will likely provide some insight into issues during login and mounting of the profile container. Also ensure you've implemented the AV exclusions listed here: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/architecture/example-scenario/wvd/windows-virtual-desktop-fslogix#antivirus-exclusions

    Aaron thank you very much for the video. Really bang on the point. Is this video still valid as i believe some new features have been added to FSLOGIX like integrating it with UPM for multiple session support etc?
    Thanks again.

      Correct, there's a few items where we might recommend changes based on improvements in the product

      @@therealstealthpuppy Any ideas on the best method to allow a different file cluster for each user, considering that the VHDlocation is configured in HKLM?

    Thanks for this video. What about the issue of having Outlook cache turned on along with concurrent sessions in RW profile mode? I am reading about errors related to the OST file being corrupted in this configuration.

    • @therealstealthpuppy
      @therealstealthpuppy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Outlook cached mode and a RW container isn't supported.

    • @AZMTB
      @AZMTB 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@therealstealthpuppy What is the proper VHD access type, then, when running Outlook in cached mode?

    • @therealstealthpuppy
      @therealstealthpuppy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AZMTB If the Outlook OST file is in the Profile Container, use direct/normal mode: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/configure-concurrent-multiple-connections-ht#multiple-connections-with-profile-container. If the Outlook OST file is in the Office Container use direct/normal mode or per session: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/configure-concurrent-multiple-connections-ht#multiple-connections-with-office-container. Note per session creates multiple Office Containers so this adds to the required storage capacity

    Does profile containers include office 365 container functionality, or is Office 365 Containers a completely separate product?

    • @gauravraw
      @gauravraw 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both are different modules within FSLogix

    Share location is same for all users, then how this tech. is differentiating from one users files from another..

    • @darrenbennett5611
      @darrenbennett5611 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      each user has a VHDX virtual disk with their own files contained within it. All VHDX files are stored in the same location, but each virtual disk is unique to each user - username.vhdx, for example.

    How does One drive work with your vhd container ? as when i tried the onedrive for business client the sync wouldn't work as not supported. I Used the standard Onedrive client but it seems like it is a per user install as it installs to appdata\local\microsoft\onedrive after signing in and choosing what folders to sync and choosing the selected path for the onedrive folder is this folder then redirected to the VHD container ? how is the install and running of One drive handled

      See the Office Container configuration guide here: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/configure-office-container-tutorial. Ensure you're using Windows 10 1809 / Windows Server 2019 or above and the latest OneDrive client.

    Did you select Cache Mode in Outlook or was this set through FSalogix? Are we expecting to see the .ost in the default location or will this actually be redirected to to be in the mapped vhd/x drive?

    • @gauravraw
      @gauravraw 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do both - have a separate GPO for configuring Outlook in cached mode and the FSLogix admx provides the same option as well. The Outlook .ost file will be redirected inside the mapped FSLogix-facilitated .vhd
