Christmas is just something else and will always have a very special place in my heart.
While I love things about both holidays, Halloween all the way. I've always adored it. Even as a kid, I knew there was more to that nght than just the costumes and candy. And now, as a Pagan who celebrates Samhain, that's even clearer. There's just something about the idea of worlds and spirits intermingling for an evening that's like nothing else.
Halloween is definitely my all time favorite holiday, but I will have to be honest... this world is as cold and unforgiving as the icy chills of winter itself, so it too needs a day of warmth, rejoice and togetherness

My fav part for Halloween is going trick or treating,and wearing costumes and for Christmas is open presents to get toys,or other stuffs and I love all of them because they are great
Christmas is my favorite holiday.
This is the year I realized I prefer Christmas. I love the crispy cold air. I love the colorful fallen leaves. The completely leafless trees. I love me some snow. I love driving around with my family with blankets and hot chocolate while listening to Christmas classics and seeing all the beautiful decorations that so many more people decorate for (unfair, I know) and it just feels like you're cruising through a cozy "winter wonderland". I love that the stores get way more into it than Halloween (I know why, also unfair). More family, fireplaces, that Christmas morning magic, etc.

Halloween isn’t an event about Satan, it’s just for fun, sure it may be scary and a tad bit associated with Satan, but those are just the adult stuff, the kid stuff are just candies and cartoons with Halloween specials in them, I may be Catholic and I kinda like Christmas more than Halloween, but in my opinion, both events are equally good

Halloween. And, instead of Christmas, I much prefer Winter Solstice. Old school winter celebrations also included ghost stories.
I wouldn't mind celebrating Yule (other then the odin worship) and I'm a Catholic Christian.

As one of the many people globally who doesn’t celebrate (and isn’t interested in) Christmas, Halloween is the undisputed winner for me. 🎃 My other favorite holiday, in pretty much a tie, is on the other side of the calendar, and filled a similar niche in my family as Christmas does for others-big gathering of friends and loved ones, lots of food/feasting, heaps of traditions and rituals, even small gifts for the kids: Passover (Pesach). Those two were hands down the biggest deal holidays for our family while my kids were growing up and we loved them both for different reasons!
I love both and grew up celebrating both. For me they are a whole season that lasts more than a month (mid September to mid November and mid November to mid January) However they're both very different and have a very different feeling.
I love Christmas so much.

My Halloween sucked because I had a mandatory midterm on Halloween night. If we can budget our time and money right, my sis and I are decorating a spooky Christmas theme to make up for it. After last year working in retail Christmas hell, I'm actually happy to be "making Christmas" again.
Here's a simple way to integrate a little creepy into your Christmas based on a story form folktale:
In the Ukraine, there's a legend that the first Christmas tinsel was made by a grateful spider whose chilly home in a forest tree was taken into a warm home as a Christmas tree. To thank the family who gave her shelter, the spider created a magic, glittering web around their tree - and this became tinsel. (This is the version I read).
So, hunt down a discount spider decoration from Halloween or make one from beads, then spray paint it gold or some other color that makes it stand out from the tree, and decorate your tree with lots of tinsel. It's Christmasy, creepy, and more classy than hiding a pickle in a tree. :3

I love both holidays oh so much, but for the actual holiday itself, I would give it to halloween. Its a close run for the days leading up to the holiday itself. I love the snow and coziness of christmas time and I love the colorful leaves and haunted houses and pumpkin patches and country stores of halloween. I prefer halloween but christmas is my second favorite holiday.
I am going say the real meanings of both holidays
Halloween means you get to celebrate the whole of autumn and Christmas means you celebrate the whole of winter.
Halloween is alright, being all spooky and stuff, but it’s quite boring for me.
Christmas is absolutely amazing, if not the BEST holiday of the year, absolutely special and cheerful when I go downstairs and tear open presents on Christmas Day.
I also enjoy watching Home Alone for 500 times every Christmas
