Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT)

For the first time in Turkey, robotic surgery for brain tumors and laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT) were used together at the American Hospital.
This method is now offered as a new option for patients with brain tumors who have undergone radiosurgery or radiotherapy, as well as those who have had several previous surgeries. It was successfully applied to an 86-year-old patient with a brain tumor, chosen due to the risk associated with opening the skull.
