Is it not on BBC America? BBCA shows things from many British networks because it is only part-owned by the BBC, it has commercials unlike the BBC and acts kinda like a British window, they pay to show stuff from ITV, Channel 4, Dave, etc
It's the reason why Americans sometimes refer to stuff like Downton Abbey as being from the BBC when it has nothing to do with BBC, Downton is an ITV production.

To say N.Y.C has a population of 8 million is a bit misleading (tho technically accurate). Greater Metropolitan N.Y.C. has a population over 20 million. It can be argued Greater L.A. has even more, tho some would argue less. ----> A major city in the USA is made up of many contiguous incorporated entities and counties. For example, Greater L.A. has 88 cities and 5 counties. The incorporated "City of L.A." is but one of 88 cities making up the Greater L.A. Metro Area: think Santa, Monica; Beverly Hills, Pasadena, etc. ----> Greater N.Y.C. works the same. ----> Refer to U.S. Census data and descriptions to get a better idea of U.S. city populations. To talk of "city" populations is misleading and arbitrary; "Greater Metro Area" gives a more realistic picture to the traveler and person who lives there.

Any public transport is better than Germany. It's been years that it's famous for its delays and smokers, beggars and homeless people living on platforms and cabin cars themselves, even Malaysia's smaller network has much cleaner and better quality experience.
