this is the first official mafia game with more rules in going seventeen so you're watching the correct episode. it's just that they play a short mafia game before in their camping episode so no worries.

@30:54 Seungkwan often becomes a target of mafia whenever they play this game because he's very analytical and can read the members really well 😅 The scenes that were showed from another gose episode were from TTT 2019, which is also a very fun episode to watch 🥰

The bit where they asked Joshua which 'doctor' he is, he is telling a joke about which department doctor he is, as in his 'gwa', but then also adding 'Sa' so its has two meaning with it also being apple and apology, also then when they go onto ask Mingyu which citizen are you, they are not necesarily saying that every citizen has a title, they wanted him to make a joke/wordplay like Joshua did, thats why they say we will save you if you give a good answer. You will come to know the Seventeen love their side jokes, wordplays and randomely starting funny skits in the middle of anything they are doing lol, also if you tell a good enough joke they will appreciate it and save you lol. Yes this is true 😄 If you notice, when the episode begins they show short clips of members' interviews. scoups was wearing a black jacket and The8 just a black shirt. Then during the rest of the game the8 was wearing that jacket scoups had on him. It's so cute 😍

24:55 "Mafia game" is actually very simple. The mafia has to kill the citizens and the citizens have to kill the mafia. However, among the citizens there is a doctor and a cop, the doctor has the opportunity to save one person in each round and the cop has the opportunity to check the identity of the person he wants. In each round one person is chosen to be removed, that person who is removed reveals his identity whether he is mafia, citizen, cop or doctor so that the others know how many mafia members or how many citizens are still in the game. However, throughout all seasons of "Don't Lie" extra rules and new roles are added, which is why I recommend watching "Don't Lie" in order for a better understanding.

they play mafia A LOT actually so they played before but this one was the first don't lie, you reacted to the right thing. also it can be confusing at first if you never played, generally there are mafias, a cop and a doctor, in the next episodes they'll introduce new jobs but i dont want to spoil anything right now, the mafias choose 1 person to kill, the doctor 1 person to save and the cop 1 person to check their identity. when someone dies the moderator announces their role so everybody knows if he was a mafia or a citizen but they dont say if the citizen had a special job (cop/doctor). and after the 'night' everybody has a discussion time and chooses someone to kill by vote, of course they should be looking for the mafia during this 'morning' time but, as for everything seventeen does, it always gets chaotic and often they end up doing a team kill voting off citizens. anyways the next part gets even better and every time they play they add new twists and little rules so i hope to see you react to the whole series!

19:00 yes, in some other going seventeen episodes, they randomly play mafia game (you can say it’s one of their favorite games at this point :D), but they also have specific series that are centered on just the mafia game. they have the old series of 돈’t lie which has 3 seasons-this video being a part of the first season. and just recently, they also released a 2023 version of the 돈’t lie series which also has 3 parts and with more twists and upgraded rules! the older version of the 돈’t lie series was already fun, but the newer one is really really entertaining and funny 😹

Waah, so actually this is officially the 1st Don't Lie episode (Mafia+Treasure hunt). They have just played normal mafia games before. Also for the person who is voted off my the team, Ex:Jun, they do tell if they are mafia or citizen. Jun here was a citizen.
Also if you want to check out something to interpret or breakdown you can check out Going Seventeen Debate night. It's their 무논리 토론 쇼. They use lot of puns, word plays, proverbs etc. I think you would understand the references better.
