In order to produce as many videos as I do, I have to cut costs when I can. I bought these boots with my own money for the purposes of this video so even though Alfa is cheap to begin with clearance was necessary. Still, clearance boots doesn't inherently mean that they are bad, it means that they aren't selling well and the company needs to make room for other models that will sell so it is a fine way to judge. @@JeremiahCraig ive had 2 pairs already over 2 years 1 pair is a dress boot and the other is a work boot. They have both held up great , my work boot goes through alot im in the oil and gas industry. Fixing to order a couple more pairs now!
This is the second review if Alfa boots that was lack luster. I've owned a few pairs and have had no issues. They came shipped in a external box too not just the boot box. Only thing I thought they run about a half size small. So order half size bigger or what what you would wear in a tennis shoe.
Jeremiah Craig i think the reason why it smells melted plastic is because they are using a leather but is "genuine leather" or corrected grain leather. The leather will appear like shiny in some sort of way, and if you look at the texture of the leather, you wont see any veins, pores and forms if unevenness. Also the way to tell is put dropping water on thr boots. If it is real leather it should be able to absorb the water. So if you heard people complaining that their Cboots are cracking after months of use, usually it is because the leather being used in their boots are corrected grain.. I DEFINITELY DOUBT that you could buy full grain leather in $200 price point. Even what i have right now are TOP GRAIN leathers, second highest quality. It is because full grain leather are very rare. Because it is very rare for us to find an animal skin without any defects like scratches.
Hey jeremiah i really enjoy your content , and now I currently own 5 different pairs of boots, however I wanted to tell you that I see why the comment section seems to be against you .. I made lots of research and there genuinely seems to be a lot of people happy with their boots especially there “exotic” since they are a lower price than anyone else . I would think since you have such a great influence among boot reviews, I would like if you ever have the chance To give them a second chance but then once again that’s all up to you I really enjoy your content and I am here to stay .
Dont get me when I say this because I like the channel but with that said this video come off as snobby and elitist and not a real review and make me question to stay subscribed. Because its a review but nothing was done to review them. Honestly the ones he picked probably was picked because that seem like the worse one and those is representative of that brand but not the best candidate. If you going to condemn the brand actually do a testing. Though there was some fair points, nothing was done to warrant a review. Whether good or bad review both should have some type of testing.
The thing about boots is no two brands fit the same, i usually wear justin, I've owned dan post, tony lama, cody james. Now the funny thing is all those brands fit me differently .i have a pair made in mexico with no brand name and they in my opinion are the best fitting and most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I own 2 pair alpha boots and i compared them quality wise to my justins and i like the alpha better.
That's not necessarily true. Defective is not the same as clearance. Boot companies and stores often put products on clearance to make room for new stock. There is no reason any company should be selling a boot with obvious issues like this (clearance or not) without stating it's a defect.
Thank you for your review, sir. I bought my exotics from an Alfa here in Texas, and honestly, I am thrilled at how beautiful they are and how right they feel. That’s just my opinion and I appreciate you and your wife’s.
Alfa doesn’t sell real exotics they’re all print but they don’t put that in their description. You’ll never get real exotic leather boots for $70 not here or in MX
I'm from the old generation so I really do not need someone's opinion for what I buy, appreciate your effort. I happened to your site because of the "boot" in the title. I read the reviews of your review and I will agree with the people who have bought the Alfa boots. Just a note watching the body language of both reviewers is very telling. The constant eye movement of each reviewer and need for approval after making a statement, the head shaking as an affirmative to what was said tells me that these two reviewers are unsure of what they are saying. The problems with the boots are not uncommon however it becomes an issue when you have to return them for the "correct size", why compare 275.00 boots with 70.00 boots?
Boots are made the same. They just build them around different sizes. Are all their boots bad? Probably not but we had this one chance with them and they are some of the worst boots we've seen. We can only go off of what they deliver.
@@JeremiahCraig you can give your opinion on what you have. Just like me. That's about it. But to say that all of them are the same its not true. They are made in different factories in mexico..
Jeremiah Craig those boots are not even Alfa brand you boomer😆 the actual Alfa brand has the alfa logo on the box, and you can tell you that you bought the cheapest boots on their website😆 if you are gonna make a review you better order a pair of 79.99, I bought my boot from Alfa and I wear them daily and to be honest they are very comfortable.
@@jesustorres5354 gotta agree with you, Alfa boots are nice and resilient.. wonder if this channel is getting paid to downgrade these nice cowboy boots
I had some Justin cowboy boots thay fail part after a month what it come down to is what are you using them for well determine if they're going to last you long
I appreciate what you're doing. However, I would take heed at trying to ruin someone else's livelihood, because everyone won't have the same response. Or accept it the same way.
We are usually very objective. This is by far the worst review we've ever given a pair of boots for good reason. It will cause injury and the business lies outright. Every industry has a company like Alfa. This is a company to stay away from 100%. Not trying to ruin anyone's livelihood, only protect consumers from con artists.
I get what your saying but who wants a leather insole for 50 bucks if the boots actually get delivered an your card information doesn't get stolen you got a great deal especially a pair of fish skin boots
They buy one of the worst boots that company sells, than they bash them for the lack of quality. I've seen you review boots that wouldn't last a day on a ranch and still give them a better review than these. To be honest, the mens cowhide boots from Alfa look like decent work boots for less than $100. But what would you know about using boots for work. P.S. I bought a pair of Noconas for $16 at a yard sale, brand new. I haven't worn them once, and to be honest will probably never wear them. Nothing scream "fake cowboy" like a pair of Naconas.
If you watched this video you'd realize that anyone wearing these boots for anything on the ranch or otherwise would be physically injured after an hour. They're crap. Anyone can see that
Of course they are a cheaper boot. But I'm sitting here listning to someone that is not qualified to look at a horse yet hold a rope.Nothing says Cowboy or Cowgirl about either. So who is paying u to run down a boot Company?Boots are sick?lol Long live Cowboys.Lord help us
@@JeremiahCraig yes I see the boots.Thats why the boots are cheap.Ive been wearing top boots all my life.I rode bulls roped calves and steers. And still I'm a Rancher. Those top boot company's have problems also.I work with leather also. The point is.U can find a problem with anyone's boot.Just like ppl.Maybe one of these days they will get together down in Laredo. We all have to start somewhere. But that family that can't afford that top boot. Can at least be proud to have a pair.Long live Cowboys
I don’t care if people like this review or not. I’m not going to wear cheapie boots. I bought a pair of Tony Lamas for $42. There are way better options in the preloved market, as Brynna mentioned.
Ok I just got my pair of boots. They ARE NOT l00% ( which I wasn't expecting for that price) inside but they do have a good amount of leather on the outside and the inside is well covered. Where are you going to find these boots for $60?. I have boots brands like Laredo, Corral, Roper. It would be stupid to compare them with a $250+ They are NOT AS BAD AS YOU WANT PEOPLE TO BELIEVED . You get what you paid for. They are cute and affordable. IF you are looking for a affordable boot to wear occasionally buy it. But if you are looking for a comfortable boot to wear for a prolonged time (riding, line dancing, working, walking,) don't buy these boots.
you may have bought those through alfa but those don't look like alfa brand boots. alfa brand boots come in branded boxes and have the alfa name on the outsole, as well as on the inside of the shaft. I have bought 2 pairs of boots through their site. one was alfa brand and the other brand was jr Robert. they are a brick and mortar store as well as an internet marketplace and sell other brands besides their own, and those brands vary in quality. your review of the boot you bought is accurate but does not reflect the quality of the alfa brand as I do not believe that is an alfa boot.
That's not always the case. Alfa is misleading and a scammy business. Believe what you want but if you get boots from them, they will be crap. Here's my receipt since you don't believe me jeremiahcraig.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Screen-Shot-2020-07-17-at-2.46.49-PM.png
@@JeremiahCraig that receipt just proves you bought the boots through alfa, it doesn't have a brand name. if you read my comment I stated that I don't believe those boots are alfa brand, and that receipt doesn't say they are alfa boots, just that you bought them through their store. I found these boots on their site and there are no markings, nor did I see any on the video. so how can you accurately review these as alfa brand boots if you can't verify they were actually produced by alfa? the boots you reviewed are crap no doubt but many shoe companies sell products of varying quality. still not convinced this is an alfa boot, but even if it was, why would you choose a misprint clearance boot to review instead of a more expensive made to order boots they offer?
It verifies there is no brand which would lead the consumer to the boots being in fact, Alfa brand since they were bought on the Alfa website. Make whatever excuses you want for yourself, as far as I'm concerned these are Alfa boots and all Alfa boots are junk
I have a pair of boots and they are good I think their opinions are way too much coming from where they are located they put too much time and dedication into their boots and i think they are such great business.
To each their own! I look at boots regularly and I can say with confidence they are far less quality than almost everything else I've looked at on my channel. The boots in the video speak for themselves
I have to agree with you this store and the “Texas Boot ranch” stores must use the same low quality boot manufacturer I bought a pair thinking it would be worth it. Not even a day of wearing them and the rubber welt part of the of the heel started coming off
It is a real pity that you are having this experience, man. I take mine dancing and I clean/shine them once a week. They still look brand new. I think that you just need to take care of them. That’s all. 😊
I'm also curious as to how or why they sell reputable exotics some brands that are online only such as captain boots as far as I know they are exclusive to their site
I hate seeing people trying to sell cheap boots makes me sick to my stomach It hurts the boot industry a lot a lot of people that buy this boots for the first pair never end up buying another pair due to they think boots are uncomfortable and don’t look and feel right . If you want some good boots go to a boot store that has been around for years family owned and really loves boots and has a passion to sell them .
Let's suppose you buy some women's boots. They don't have any of the decorative heart stitching or anything like that like these boots do. The shaft is not extra wide or anything. They look exactly like a boot for men, just the box and model say they are for women. Do you have any way to tell if they are for indeed for woman?
Nope! Big brands will use the same designs they just use different sizes so often times there is no way for anyone to know the difference between boots marketed towards women and those marketed towards men
Nice! Just what I thought. But I've seen some nice boots that state "Women" but can't see any real difference other than sizing so I kept wondering if built was different or something like that.
Looking for my first pair to wear with jeans. I'm seeing this company an FB and was skeptical. Your review convinced me I was right. We have a boot barn opening this weekend in my area. What brand should I look for. Looking for something around $200-250. What should I look at? Looking at Tecovas online too. Like those.
They just opened a boot barn in my area as well and i was very excited, but they had a fairly limited brand selection. They had Durangos, Cody James (store brand?), Dan Post, Laredo, Ariat and 2 HH styles (not the Dylan) lol. Have had mixed results with Laredo and Dan Post, although Ariat seems to be a good budget brand. I would check out what HH boots they have and perhaps that will be the best for ya.
they are made in Mexico for about 5$ and make it to your door step for 60$ you get what you pay for. dont act like you guys have never went cheap on something!!!
It's less about where the toes are located in the boot and more about where the ball of the foot is. Custom boot maker, Paul Krause, once said "If it doesn't fit in the ball, it doesn't fit at all." You want the boot to be snug at the ball of your foot and at the instep at your foot. Your toes should have no pressure or squeezing on them. I talk a little bit more about fit in this video. I already have it sync'd up at the time I discuss it: th-cam.com/video/ESugSc6KROY/w-d-xo.html Good luck!
I would be real upset with a misaligned boot and heel. I would have returned them.Seriously the part you see isn't even correct? That's a $30.00 boot at best. I mean Ked's cheap kids shoes are better than that for gosh sakes!
This is a misleading review since I don’t see the Alfa name anywhere on the box or the boots. Kind of a cheap move on your part to not even review they’re actual Alfa brand boots. Are you sure you did your research on them Craig? Or do you just want to discredit this hard working local business??
I showed the exact webpage from Alfa where we bought the boots in the video. Did you miss that? Alfa doesn't have branded boxes. The cheap move is this brand misleading consumers. Be upset at me if you want but it won't change anything
Jeremiah Craig Those are boots from Alfa but, they are not Alfa brand. Try to buy the Alfa brand and you will be more than satisfied with the quality. I personally have one pair and I wear them every day and indeed they are 100% cowhide leather.
I’ve wore boots for fifty years. ABs, are by far that best boots I’ve ever had, for comfort and style. Hope you get a chance to wear a pair. It will change your life for the better!
I'm so glad I found your review video. I was looking at this company because they have a pair of 100% genuine Pirarucu boots for $99.00,I thought maybe it's a down payment for a $500 boot since it reads it's a preorder, sent an email,no response, called up the number, straight to voicemail with no chance to leave a message. They have so many complaints on Better Business Bureau, but seem to deliver after they have been somehow connected. Anyone give any feedback?
They are probably PU Leather. A lot of these fake Cowboy Boots are coming out of China cheap and sold on the internet. The fact you say they smell is why I say they are PU or Fake Leather.
I recently made a video about vegan boots which use PU leather. It's a different smell and feeling altogether. This boot is leather but a very low quality leather for sure.
You seem to have had your mind made up before even opening up the box. Did you get butt hurt because they didn't send you a free pair when you told them you are an influencer 🤔 😆
Definitely not haha. I eat a hearty of breakfast of cherri-no's every day. It makes no difference to me. If you watch the video they are objectively bad, regardless of opinion.
@@JeremiahCraig they look cheap, I believe those are garbage boots, but like others pointed out, are they actually Alfa brand boots? Or just some generic bs they sold you? Brynna are you Sure you Don’t like those boots??? lol 😂. I enjoyed the comedy Brynna added to this video. I needed a laugh and I sure got it. Total roast for the Alfa boots. Man how do they even get away selling that kind of junk?? Great review.
The insole sucks they advertise them So much i just had to try them out horrible material uncomfortable & smelly the inside fell apart first day 80 bucks thrown away go with ariat or a better brand
I wish I would have seen this previously. I purchased a pair as my very first pair. It was a damn mistake. I put them on and had a staple or nail poking me from the insole. I reached out and they want me to pay to ship them back due to their defect. I am so disappointed and feel like I wasted money but I don’t want to put more money into shipping there and back just to get them to fall apart. Seriously have not got to enjoy wear my boots at all.
I have two pair. Super light and comfortable. The toe wore through to the alloy pretty quick, about 4 months, but I was using them for general construction and didn't use tough toe or shoe goo.
I'm from Mexico 🇲🇽 and I think it's a little bit hard your review. Whit that I went to USA I bought a pair of nacona boots some expensive and can tell you is something similar.
@@saulrabiela4862 I'm not saying that boots made in Mexico are all bad I'm saying that Alfa boots are bad. They come nowhere close to a US made Nocona. If you watched the video, you can see the Alfa boots speak for themselves. Too many issues
100% leather in the boot industry means all leather except the shank, stitching, heel cap, pegs and nails all of which is a small percentage of the boot. These had foam in them on the insole which is all that's necessary for the 100% leather statement to be 100% untrue
Exactly my opinion, me and my friends have recently bought several boots from Alfa in Laredo Texas and they are beautiful boots.. Mexican boots are the best hands down.
Those are not even Alfa boots, its like saying you bought walmart cookies when they were actually oreos. Alfa does have their own brand, you should review those to be fair 😂 plus you were already talking shit before you even opened them, how is that a fair review
What brand of boots are they then? It doesn't say but they are purchased on Alfas site therefore they are Alfa boots... These are junk boots. Plain and simple. We were more than fair

I have a pair from alpha western wear and I love them wear them rain shine work hunting everywhere and love them
Put those in an expensive box and they would literally cry about how great they are
Did you watch the video or just the beginning? I don't care about the box. They are objectively bad
😂🤣😂 💯% Facts
@@JeremiahCraig That dude clearly did not watch the video lol
I own 2 pair alpha boots and i compared them quality wise to my justins and i like the alpha better.
tHE OUT OF LINE HEART IS MOST LIKELY WHY THEY WERE CLEARNECED
Not everybody are a boot man and can afford $1200 for lucchese or black jack boots. You paid for what you get very respectful.
True that. Getting boots second hand is a great way to go too
Super cool seeing you cut into the boot and looking at how it’s constructed! Great video Jeremiah!
I like doing that too haha! Expect more of that in the future! Thanks for watching 👍
An honest review wouldn't be done using a "clearance" boot. There's a reason it's on clearance, and I think it's obvious why by watching this video.
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching 👍
Alfa doesn’t sell real exotics they’re all print but they don’t put that in their description. You’ll never get real exotic leather boots for $70 not here or in MX
Can you please tell me if the size runs large or is the real size
Good luck getting the size you want
Because they make the comparison. They set the standard not me 👍 thanks for watching!
Mens and women's boots are not the same I disagree with you 100%. My boots from them are nowhere near as bad as you guys are saying..
I've looked at a lot of boots on this channel and I can tell the brands who care. This is not one of them
Jeremiah Craig those boots are not even Alfa brand you boomer😆 the actual Alfa brand has the alfa logo on the box, and you can tell you that you bought the cheapest boots on their website😆 if you are gonna make a review you better order a pair of 79.99, I bought my boot from Alfa and I wear them daily and to be honest they are very comfortable.
@@jesustorres5354 gotta agree with you, Alfa boots are nice and resilient.. wonder if this channel is getting paid to downgrade these nice cowboy boots
I had some Justin cowboy boots thay fail part after a month what it come down to is what are you using them for well determine if they're going to last you long
I agree
I had Justin’s as daily wear for over 10 years
I appreciate what you're doing.
There's doctors out there that don't care about their patients. Should we not call them out? Ankle and knee problems are no joke.
They were probably on clearance because of the heel defect and the wonky box
Anyone can see that
@@JeremiahCraig how can you come to that conclusion without actually wearing them and working in them?
Of course they are a cheaper boot. But I'm sitting here listning to someone that is not qualified to look at a horse yet hold a rope.Nothing says Cowboy or Cowgirl about either. So who is paying u to run down a boot Company?Boots are sick?lol Long live Cowboys.Lord help us
Haha did you see the boots?

@@grantray6119you missed the point. A person can buy preloved boots, from better brands, at a similar or even better price.
Thanks for the compliment on my boots 😂
Gotta respect it man! Way to go!
I don’t care if people like this review or not. I’m not going to wear cheapie boots. I bought a pair of Tony Lamas for $42. There are way better options in the preloved market, as Brynna mentioned.
It's a punchy toe 😊 still debate trying a punchy toe boot one day....
I like the look!
The Smell!!!!!!!!!! And the ones I got, the sole was rounded and wouldn't sit flat either. UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!
It's the WORST!
Please do a review on Moonshine Spirit boots sometime!
But if you are looking for a comfortable boot to wear for a prolonged time (riding, line dancing, working, walking,) don't buy these boots.
how long did they take to arrive?
you may have bought those through alfa but those don't look like alfa brand boots. alfa brand boots come in branded boxes and have the alfa name on the outsole, as well as on the inside of the shaft.
How long did it take for them to come in?
Just got mine leather so tight can't get my foot in and I believe they sent one size smaller than I bought .
Well thank you. They're just a pair of poorly maintained Ariats for walking around and are my comfy boots.
That’s all. 😊
I think you should buy their 200 bots and make a review, they seem better built . They appear to be real gator
Alfa western wear have the best boots at the best price I love all of mine
I'm also curious as to how or why they sell reputable exotics some brands that are online only such as captain boots as far as I know they are exclusive to their site
Inexpensive and quality rarely go hand and hand. At least not when brand new.
Very true
So you complained about the boot style....that's the part you 100% control.
What do want for 50.00 dollars??
My point exactly
Hello
Where the boots are made ?
Hey Jim! They are made in Mexico!
60 for the sale = about 20 to produce = "Just say no"
100% leather could mean it’s not a blend perhaps? Not sure
Well thank you they’re dan post Everglades caiman boots😎
Thanks for noticing my new boots lol
NEW ONES!? Nice!!
@@JeremiahCraig 😁👍🏼
Thanks for noticing Brynna!
She's nice like that
I’ve seen other videos of reviews for alpha boots and this is the first pair that came in a box that’s weird.
I agree. It's disappointing to me that people are steered away from boots because of one bad experience.
I would like see a review on Arango boots. 🤔
Cool. I'll look into it and see what I can do! Thanks!
the video that finished his career lol
Are you a boot maker also?
In a medium toe where is toe supposed to be located at for you to be confortable
It's less about where the toes are located in the boot and more about where the ball of the foot is. Custom boot maker, Paul Krause, once said "If it doesn't fit in the ball, it doesn't fit at all."
You want the boot to be snug at the ball of your foot and at the instep at your foot. Your toes should have no pressure or squeezing on them.
I talk a little bit more about fit in this video. I already have it sync'd up at the time I discuss it: th-cam.com/video/ESugSc6KROY/w-d-xo.html
Good luck!
Thanks
I would be real upset with a misaligned boot and heel. I would have returned them.Seriously the part you see isn't even correct? That's a $30.00 boot at best. I mean Ked's cheap kids shoes are better than that for gosh sakes!
Well I found the answer ...

These are biden kamala administration Economy boots
Can you do a review on the alfa boots python matte black thinking on getting them but im skeptical too men
Did you buy them I was wanting the same pair
No I haven’t but they look amazing tho just wanna know about the quality first you know I haven’t see anyone doing a review on them
This is a misleading review since I don’t see the Alfa name anywhere on the box or the boots.
I personally have some Alfa boots. Says in the box Alfa & also in the boots. Please review something that is made by them.
I did Gabriel. You not trusting that changes nothing. Have a good one
They are Alfa boots and they are bad. Here's my receipt... jeremiahcraig.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Screen-Shot-2020-07-17-at-2.46.49-PM.png
Jeremiah Craig Those are boots from Alfa but, they are not Alfa brand. Try to buy the Alfa brand and you will be more than satisfied with the quality. I personally have one pair and I wear them every day and indeed they are 100% cowhide leather.
Do you ever wear ABs
Not yet. I can't find any around me
I’ve wore boots for fifty years.
I'd like to point out that Alfa is a western wear store and not a boot manufacturer.
They are made in mexico not China
So are Dan Post...

LOL i always knew their boots were junk. No way u can sell a good boot for that cheap!
Wait, you think “100% leather” means 100% of the boot is leather? Yikes.
100% leather in the boot industry means all leather except the shank, stitching, heel cap, pegs and nails all of which is a small percentage of the boot. These had foam in them on the insole which is all that's necessary for the 100% leather statement to be 100% untrue
These are high quality boots... going have to disagree
Exactly my opinion, me and my friends have recently bought several boots from Alfa in Laredo Texas and they are beautiful boots.. Mexican boots are the best hands down.
