Thank you for a non biased and open minded discussion. I was baptized a Witness in 1998 and was constantly reminded for over a decade and a half that I wasn’t doing enough to get Gods favor. It’s comforting to know that I no longer have to be disappointed in who I am from being judged by men, and that I don’t have to rely on a certain class of men to be a mediator for me. My love for the Christ is allowed to finally grow. Thank you.

I got into a vehicle accident, the ER from Alamosa Colorado Hospital found some brain tumors and flew me fight for life to St Anthony’s Hospital in Lakeview/Denver Colorado for surgery. It's the first time that I am listening to your breakdown of Jesus' warning. It is the most important part, as understanding this sets the stage for everything to follow. You are correct and I commend you heartily. I perceive, however, you believe that you are the first person who has come to this conclusion, or that perhaps your group has some special insight beyond that which Christ has granted His church as a whole, and as such, you take exception to we who have understood this truth long prior. I am not shooting down the work you are doing, however. You have taken it upon yourself to make these videos, and persons are being benefitted. I believe it is a great deal of work and I would defend your, and your comrades endeavours. I watched the videos that you made when you went to the Kingdom Hall to try to set the elders straight. To me, this was an example of a lack of both humility and Christian maturity. They were wrong, but so were you. It was like watching children throwing sand at each other in the sandbox. My brother in Christ, it could not have been an illustration when Jesus likened earthquakes etc. to a "woman's contractions". Earthquakes, pestilence and war are indeed sorrowful, but a woman's contractions are quite the opposite. And as soon as she has welcomed her newborn into her arms, she desires to do it all over again. As well her husband. The only way "the first of contractions" works in downplaying "earthquakes" etc. is if it was an idiom already in use during the first century. The only way Jesus agrees with Jesus in these first verses is if His listeners already understood the nature of use in this idiom. I commend you and also caution you, don't make yourself "the slave".
Excellent presentation! I first learned of the JW organization's gross misinterpretation of Matthew 24, etc., in 1992 when reading Carl Olof Jonsson's book "The Sign of the Last Days--When?". Since then I've written much on the topic, and debated countless JW defenders on various discussion forums. Not a single JW has given a rebuttal that amounts to more than a contentless denial. Luke 21:7-8 is especially powerful in debunking the JW claim that they are "God's organization". The passage basically says, "If someone claims to speak for Christ, and says 'the time for the end has arrived', pay no attention to him." The Governing Body claims to speak for and to represent God and Christ--no argument from anyone on that. They claim "the end is very near!" Therefore no Christian should pay JWs any heed about this. They've been doing this since Russell published "The Time Is At Hand" in 1889. Since then similar titles have appeared in WTS literature: "The Kingdom Is At Hand", "God's Kingdom of a Thousand Years Has Approached", "The Approaching Peace of a Thousand Years", etc. And of course, "Armageddon is right around the corner" has been a staple of JW teaching since their beginning. Challenging JWs with Luke 21:7-8 produces some interesting reactions. The usual blind ones simply deny that the Bible means what it says. A few JWs I've challenged have frankly admitted that they ought not stay a JW, but because the JW organization has been their social fabric for a very long time, they say, "Well, I'm too stuck in the organization to change." In 1994 I called GB member Albert Schroeder on the phone one Saturday, to finish up some questions I had posed him during the previous year. After he stated that he would not answer those questions, I decided to challenge him with Luke 21:7-8. He got out his NWT Reference Bible and read the verses out loud. When he got to the end, he didn't speak. After a minute or so I asked him, "Well, what does this passage mean to you? Isn't it obvious that it applies directly to Jehovah's Witnesses?" He could not speak for another minute or so. "Well?" I asked. "It CAN'T apply to us because we're Jehovah's people!" At that point I understood that JW leaders are irredeemable. Really, denying what the Bible says about false proclamations made in God's name merely because one claims to speak for God? How arrogant and stupid!

Thank you, Eric, for this excellent video. I have a Ph.D. in Ancient Greek and I liked your interpretation of the particle gar in Matthew 24.7. Perhaps the particle is intentionally ambiguous meaning both "for" and "indeed", although these two words are practically synonyms in English. Since "Strong's Concordance" says that it can express continuation, a good translation might be "furthermore."
This is the same thing I was told. They couldn't deny the facts of their wickedness but they focused " on the big picture". All the "truth" I had learned in the organization. The preaching work that nobody else is doing. They are blind and are being lead by blind men.
Thanks Eric. Colossians 1:23 says the good news WAS preached in all creation under heaven. You pointed out in a previous video that it was preached 'in the then known world' the world that they knew. So Jehovah's Witnesses are trying to fulfil a scripture that was already fulfilled. It was done. The Good News WAS preached. There is no second fulfillment of Matthew 24:14. The Good News was preached and then the end came. The end of the Jewish system of things came and Jerusalem was destroyed. And it all happened in a generation, just as Jesus foretold. There was no 'over-lapping generation. IF JW's were right and there was a second fulfillment in our day, it would have had to be fulfilled within a generation, not an over-lapping generation. Watchtower misleads people and lies to them by changing the definition of the word 'generation'. They say a generation is spoken of in the Bible as 70 to 80 years. WRONG!!! That's a LIFESPAN and not a GENERATION. A generation is about 35 years. Consider a picture of a baby, her 35 year old mother and 70 year old mother. How many generations are there in that picture? Three. Not one. There's no over-lapping generation. Everything Jesus said would happen, did happen, and all within a generation of about 35 years. And there is no second fulfillment of Jesus words from the entire chapter of MT. 24. So Jehovah's Witnesses are wasting their time trying to fulfill a scripture that was already fulfilled around two thousand years ago. They are wasting their time.

This was written almost 30 years after Jerusalem's destruction of 70 CE; and applying beyond Jesus' prophecy of Matthew 24.

I thank you for your sound research and studying. Since leavening the org, I’ve learned to read the Bible and allow it to speak and interpret itself instead installing multiple own beliefs and holding on to the tradition of JW teaching. I’m currently researching speaking in tongues, does it exist today? Has it ceased? Is speaking in tongues the evidence of the Holy Spirit? Do all speak in tongues? I’m sure you will get to this topic as well as many others over time. I look forward to hearing your take on it. Your video on partaking helped me to reconsider and teaching and partake for the first time ever a local church.

I meet so many people like you who used to belong to various church Sects but have been limited by the doctrine and realized they had to walk away because they are forced to accept and teach that particular doctrine and believe it unequivocally. I found so many truth seekers since I left the church. I no longer even call myself a Christian but rather a believer in Yehovah and a follower of Yeshua. I subjugate myself to the Kingdom of God and not the Doctrines of men. I have found men just like me who still seek out God and find truth in the scriptures. I’ve started keeping the commandments of God just as Jesus kept them. John the Baptist declared Jesus as the Lamb of God who came to the World for the remission of Sins. Jesus also told his apostles during the last supper when he broke the bread and passed around his cup that it was his body and his blood spilled for their sins. When he said he did not come to change the law but to fulfill it and not one jot or title would pass from the law until ALL things were fulfilled. That means he fulfilled the blood requirement of goats and bulls for sin. The requirement of blood for remission of sin never changed and that is how he fulfilled the law, that part of the law. But the commandments of God; the Word of God will never pass away. This World and Heaven will pass away before Gods Word will.
Hi Eric thanks for the efforts you put in. Have you listened to Kel at The Trinity Delusion. He believes Jesus did not exist as a God/spirit/Angel/Son person before His conception in Mary's womb. The logos was not a "person" but the express thought/plan of God. I had always believed in pre-existence until I heard his argument. Also there is a man called Dustan Smith who was able to answer Col 1:15-19 for me. His on utube speaking to a man called Dan Gill. Worth listening to.
A few days ago i spoke to a female JW on the street cart with her elder husband for about an hour. They are people i have known for decades. I explained to them some of the serious issues within our organization and asked her if Jehovah would deliver his people while being aware of these problems (including 1914, the identity of Babylon the Great and how she is deceiving them, the identity of the faithful slave, the identity of the prophet Elijah, disfellowshiping etc.). Her answer was an emphatic "yes." (Revelation 12:9, 18:4).

Here's a quote from the "Delian Problem": Doubling the Cube, the most famous of the collection, is often referred to as the Delian problem due to a legend that the Delians had CONSULTED PLATO on the subject. In another form, the story asserts that the Athenians in 430 B.C. consulted the oracle at Delos in the hope to stop the plague ravaging their country. They were advised by Apollo to double his altar that had the form of a cube. As a result of several failed attempts to satisfy the god, the pestilence only worsened and at the end they turned to PLATO for advice." See anything wrong with this quote? PLATO was born in 428 BCE. So he is being consulted some 2 years before his own birth. This is just one example of what happens when the timeline is artificially expanded. The only possible eclipse that can be linked to the beginning of the Peloponnesian War is a total eclipse that occurred in January of 402 BCE, meaning the PPW began in 403 BCE. At 30-year peace agreement ended in the 10th year of the war, that is, 394 BCE. If that was the original 30-year peace agreement enacted at the time of Xerxes' invasion of Greece, then the invasion took place in 424 BCE. The year of Xerxes' invasion has two critical references: 1) It must be an Olympic year. Check. 2) There must be an eclipse over Persia in the "early spring," meaning the first month of Spring. Check. There was an eclipse on March 21st. There was no eclipse in the early Spring in 480 BCE, the revised year for Xerxes' invasion. Of note, when 424 BCE dates Xerxes' invasion correctly, the Battle of Marathon occurrs 10 years earlier in 434 BCE. Two Greek references confirm Darius I died at Marathon. If that's the case, then the temple was completed late this year (Ezra 6:14,15) since the temple was completed the year Darius I died after 21 years of building beginning the 1st of Cyrus. Thus if we add 21 years to 434 BCE, the true date for the 1st of Cyrus would fall in: 455 BCE! This is just one of several ways to confirm the original year for the 1st of Cyrus in 455 BCE, which matches the Bible's reference that Jerusalem would begin to be rebuilt in 455 BCE. Even JWs recognize that. Only they date 455 BCE to year 20th of Artaxerxes rather than the 1st of Cyrus. Anyway, just thought you'd like knowing that Plato is being consulted 2 years before his birth with the present chronology, which is impossible. That chronology also dates the fall of Jerusalem in 587/586 BCE, a date some presume to be accurate, but is not. More importantly, it is not BIBLICAL. The Bible requires the fall of Jerusalem to take place in 529 BCE; not 607 BCE or 586 BCE. Thanks for doing a video on this interesting discrepancy!

I've waited eagerly for Part 2. But please note. First Christ arrives while Satan is loose in the world. During this time Christ seals the elect. After sealing the elect, then Armageddon begins when the "four winds" let loose. After Armageddon, Christ begins his 1000-year reign. The reference in Acts about when he would begin to rule was about the beginning of the rule of the 1000-year rule, but not the second coming. So basically, when Christ begins to rule in the earth comes after his actual second coming. Acts 1 is specifically about when the 1000-year would begin, and not about the date of Christ's return. Thus the time when Christ begins the 1000-year reign is a date that is NOT established in the Bible and is only known to God. But the date of Christ's return must fulfill many prophecies and occurs on a specific DAY and DATE. Christ repeatedly stated that "nobody knows the day AND HOUR" of his return. He states nobody knows the watch of the day he will return. Thus the DAY of Christ's return must be in the Bible, but not the HOUR. PLEASE distinguish Armageddon apart from Christ's return. They are two separate events. Thus the "great tribulation" of Matthew 24 which is over before Christ's return is different from the tribulation associated with Armageddon. Here's a rather amateur video about the HOUR of Christ's return not being known. Thanks for your videos!! Again, remember, Christ must return first and Satan is loose in the earth for a "short while" (30 years) before Armageddon happens. The 1000-year reign begins after all that. The second temple is linked with the second coming. It took 22 years to bild the second temple. We can presume that Christ would also take 22 years to build the spiritual temple. So FIRST, Christ must return at the time Satan is also cast out of heaven. But that would begin a period of time leading up to Armageddon and the 1000-year reign of Christ. The Date and Day of Christ's return is given in the Bible, but the precise time of Armageddon and the beginning of the 1000-year of Christ is a date and time not provided in the Bible and is given to God's own discretion. thay are not preaching, they are selling magazines and book. There is a difference. In fact there was no effect on membership increase, Most of JWs are either born in or raised and out of this two thirds leave. No there was no preaching work, it was selling magazines and recruiting converts.
Did u not get the memo? Matt 24:14 is no longer respected as a 'required' prophecy that must take place before the end comes... This was revealed just a few years ago at thd regional convention. What are your thoughts on this new light?
@@BeroeanPickets I'm working on it. It was mentioned at district convention by branch committee brothers a few years back (2 or 3yrs ago). Mutilple sources have confirmed in different states. Basically the new light was that the scripture in Matthew 24:14 is not a literal fulfillment due to certain areas deemed too dangerous for preaching, banning, etc. Also the website was hinted as a substitute fulfilment of those unable to be preached to directly. I may be able to find audio as there are very limited written sources on this

Who is Elijah the true prophet of Jehovah and how will he "restore all things?" How will he "turn back the hearts of fathers toward sons and the hearts of sons toward fathers?" How will that work prevent Jehovah from "striking the earth, devoting it to destruction?" (Mal. 3:1-4, 4:5,6, Matt. 17:11). Who is the true faithful and discreet slave and in what way is he "faithful" and "wise?" (Rev. 18:4, 17:9).
I believe Re 12:9 occurred following Jesus' death. What makes you think the man of lawlessness appears after the great apostasy? Where do you get the idea there is a great apostasy?

New World order of Special Pioneers of something like that is what I saw recently in a TH-cam video. Does not Mathew 13 give evidence that the apostasy came in and it was hard to distinguish between wheat and weeds in Jesus parable? I was thinking the COVID was the start of the tribulation, I’m confused but I sure wish for the end to come but I’m a baby for pain and suffering. My view of the great tribulation is different from that of the governing body. See part 7 of this series. However, whatever it turns out to be, it won't start with some sign, because Jesus tells us it will come upon us without warning. Matthew 24:36-44
One thing worries me about all this. If God truly wants all sorts of men to be saved, surely the message in the Bible should be crystal clear and easy to understand? It seems to me that a large amount of time, effort and intelligence are involved in getting saved. Without this, it is far too easy to get misled. Is God a bad communicator or is the requirement to be saved simply a matter of being a good person and all the rest is just window dressing? The simple principles in the Bible, such as treat others as you would like to be treated, are the main things to pick up on and apply.

Based on three prophecies, we know the precise YEAR of Christ's return. This does not contradict Acts 1 about when Christ would begin to rule at Jerusalem. That is, when Christ begins to rule in the earth is not the same event as the second coming. These two events are separated by at least 22+ years. The precise day and year of Christ's return is provided in the Bible, but not the date of Armageddon and the beginning of the 1000-year reign. Here are the three prophecies that point to 1992 as the year of the second coming: 1. The "70 weeks" prophecy. The 70 weeks ends in 36 CE. 455 BCE to 36 CE is a 490-year period. It is the THIRD DAY of the covenant with the Jews of 70 jubilees. If 455 BCE - 36 CE is DAY 3, then the 7th day would be from 1506 to 1996. Christ comes to fulfill the 70th week. Does he come to fulfill the 70th at the 2nd coming? Why not? Christ fulfills the first half of the 70th week from 29-33 CE. If Christ is to come to fulfill the second half of the 70th week of the 7th day, then he would have to arrive sometime after Passover of 1992 but prior to Passover of 1993. 2. The "1335 days" prophecy. The end of the 1290 days follows on the heels of the great tribulation, a unique time of distress for the Jews. This is a reference to the Holocaust. 1947 is the official end of the Jewish exile. This would end the 1290 days. If so, the 1335 days would occur in 1992. Same as #1. 3. The "7 times" prophecy, a prophecy understood by JWs to be 2520 years from the removal of a kingly representative of God's kingdom in the earth at the time of Jerusalem's fall until the second coming. Of course, Christ must return in a physical body again in order to completely parallel this reference. If Christ remains in heaven and invisible then he isn't really an "earthly" representative of God's kingdom in the earth. But noting that, it is easy to apply 2520 years to the fall of Jerusalem. Problem is, the fall of Jerusalem was distorted by the Persians. They added some 82 fake years to their timeline, pushing the return after the 70 years back from 455 BCE to 537 BCE. JWs then apply the 70 years to the false date of 537 BCE to get 607 BCE. Then they apply the 2520 years to arrive at 1914. However, if we follow strict Bible chronology, the 1st of Cyrus must be dated to 455 BCE. Adding 70 years gives us 525 BCE, which would be the year of the last deportation, year 23 of Nebuchadnezzar II. Thus the fall of Jerusalem and removal of the last earthly king would have occurred in 529 BCE. If we subtract 529 from 2520 years, we, again, get 1992! 2520 - 607 = 1913 + 1 = 1914 2520 - 529 = 1991 + 1 = 1992 So you see, three different prophecies about the year of the second coming all point to the same year: 1992. But again, this does not contradict Acts 1 where the disciples were asking when Christ would set up his kingdom in the earth. Christ comes first to "rule in the midst of his enemies" for a while before actually establishing his kingdom. While he is sealing the anointed ones, Satan is still loose in the earth. So it is again, very important to SEPARATE when Armageddon will occur from Christ's return, which I don't think is a point you are making. Acts 1 has nothing to do with the second coming, but with Armageddon. Nobody knows when Armageddon will occur, but we know Christ must return in 1992. This will become a REALITY for you if you bother doing a little investigation. We want to be EFFECTIVE, don't we? Thanks for your commentary and focus on Bible prophecy. HAVE A BLESSED DAY!!

The scriptures say much, and many have their commentaries about them, but at the end of the day who or what has the final say? Who can find much of actionable value or much to trust in with such confusion and incomprehensible, fragmented sayings of men from thousands of years ago? I can’t find much of value beyond some common sense advice. The rest is filled with gore, hate, and incomprehensible prophecies that have led people astray and to their deaths for several millennia.

busymountain the records of the Australian royal commission are available to read on the internet - both the final report and the public testimony. Many of us were surprised. About 4 months ago I went to the funeral of a boy who killed himself. He had been sexually abused by an adult “brother” who it was later revealed had been disfellowshipped and reinstated several times for the same thing (no warning to anyone was given each time he was reinstated). The adult is now in jail for one of the abuses that they had evidence of. I personally know one of the women who gave public testimony at the commission, and she was treated shamefully for just trying to bring understanding to decision makers who mean well but have no real understanding how child abusers operate. None of it is reasonable or how we are told it is handled.

Maybe people keep misinterpreting when the end of the world will come because the bible is confusing. Yet god is not the author of confusion/ disorder (1 Corinthians 14:33). There are many reasons to conclude that the bible cannot be 100 percent true. Just Google contradictions in the bible. So why do you start with the bible as the premise? From the outside it seems that your still carrying a significant portion of your indoctrination as a child. You shed the skin of the indoctrination, but the body remains. Why is your version of the bible true and why isn't the koran true? I suspect that your reasons are as good as any muslim's reason for their faith. How can anyone looking in from the outside know that either faith isn't false, but fact? When reality doesn't need to be twisted to fit into the biblical model, many thing make more sense and the ability to ask honest questions about the way things work is unlocked.

Thank you for a non biased and open minded discussion. I was baptized a Witness in 1998 and was constantly reminded for over a decade and a half that I wasn’t doing enough to get Gods favor. It’s comforting to know that I no longer have to be disappointed in who I am from being judged by men, and that I don’t have to rely on a certain class of men to be a mediator for me. It's the first time that I am listening to your breakdown of Jesus' warning. It is the most important part, as understanding this sets the stage for everything to follow. You are correct and I commend you heartily.
I perceive, however, you believe that you are the first person who has come to this conclusion, or that perhaps your group has some special insight beyond that which Christ has granted His church as a whole, and as such, you take exception to we who have understood this truth long prior.
I am not shooting down the work you are doing, however. You have taken it upon yourself to make these videos, and persons are being benefitted. I believe it is a great deal of work and I would defend your, and your comrades endeavours.
I watched the videos that you made when you went to the Kingdom Hall to try to set the elders straight. To me, this was an example of a lack of both humility and Christian maturity. They were wrong, but so were you. It was like watching children throwing sand at each other in the sandbox.
My brother in Christ, it could not have been an illustration when Jesus likened earthquakes etc. to a "woman's contractions". Earthquakes, pestilence and war are indeed sorrowful, but a woman's contractions are quite the opposite. And as soon as she has welcomed her newborn into her arms, she desires to do it all over again. As well her husband.
The only way "the first of contractions" works in downplaying "earthquakes" etc. is if it was an idiom already in use during the first century. The only way Jesus agrees with Jesus in these first verses is if His listeners already understood the nature of use in this idiom.
I commend you and also caution you, don't make yourself "the slave".
Excellent presentation! I first learned of the JW organization's gross misinterpretation of Matthew 24, etc., in 1992 when reading Carl Olof Jonsson's book "The Sign of the Last Days--When?". Since then I've written much on the topic, and debated countless JW defenders on various discussion forums. Not a single JW has given a rebuttal that amounts to more than a contentless denial.
Luke 21:7-8 is especially powerful in debunking the JW claim that they are "God's organization". The passage basically says, "If someone claims to speak for Christ, and says 'the time for the end has arrived', pay no attention to him." The Governing Body claims to speak for and to represent God and Christ--no argument from anyone on that. They claim "the end is very near!" Therefore no Christian should pay JWs any heed about this.
They've been doing this since Russell published "The Time Is At Hand" in 1889. Since then similar titles have appeared in WTS literature: "The Kingdom Is At Hand", "God's Kingdom of a Thousand Years Has Approached", "The Approaching Peace of a Thousand Years", etc. And of course, "Armageddon is right around the corner" has been a staple of JW teaching since their beginning.
Challenging JWs with Luke 21:7-8 produces some interesting reactions. The usual blind ones simply deny that the Bible means what it says. A few JWs I've challenged have frankly admitted that they ought not stay a JW, but because the JW organization has been their social fabric for a very long time, they say, "Well, I'm too stuck in the organization to change."
In 1994 I called GB member Albert Schroeder on the phone one Saturday, to finish up some questions I had posed him during the previous year. After he stated that he would not answer those questions, I decided to challenge him with Luke 21:7-8. He got out his NWT Reference Bible and read the verses out loud. When he got to the end, he didn't speak. After a minute or so I asked him, "Well, what does this passage mean to you? Isn't it obvious that it applies directly to Jehovah's Witnesses?" He could not speak for another minute or so. "Well?" I asked. "It CAN'T apply to us because we're Jehovah's people!" At that point I understood that JW leaders are irredeemable. Really, denying what the Bible says about false proclamations made in God's name merely because one claims to speak for God? How arrogant and stupid!
Matt 24:23-26 is also good for this point. It's robust!

Perhaps the particle is intentionally ambiguous meaning both "for" and "indeed", although these two words are practically synonyms in English. Since "Strong's Concordance" says that it can express continuation, a good translation might be "furthermore."
This is the same thing I was told. They couldn't deny the facts of their wickedness but they focused " on the big picture". All the "truth" I had learned in the organization. The preaching work that nobody else is doing. They are blind and are being lead by blind men.
Thanks Eric. Colossians 1:23 says the good news WAS preached in all creation under heaven. You pointed out in a previous video that it was preached 'in the then known world' the world that they knew. So Jehovah's Witnesses are trying to fulfil a scripture that was already fulfilled. It was done. The Good News WAS preached. There is no second fulfillment of Matthew 24:14. The Good News was preached and then the end came. The end of the Jewish system of things came and Jerusalem was destroyed. And it all happened in a generation, just as Jesus foretold. There was no 'over-lapping generation. IF JW's were right and there was a second fulfillment in our day, it would have had to be fulfilled within a generation, not an over-lapping generation. Watchtower misleads people and lies to them by changing the definition of the word 'generation'. They say a generation is spoken of in the Bible as 70 to 80 years. WRONG!!! That's a LIFESPAN and not a GENERATION. A generation is about 35 years. Consider a picture of a baby, her 35 year old mother and 70 year old mother. How many generations are there in that picture? Three. Not one. There's no over-lapping generation. Everything Jesus said would happen, did happen, and all within a generation of about 35 years. And there is no second fulfillment of Jesus words from the entire chapter of MT. 24. So Jehovah's Witnesses are wasting their time trying to fulfill a scripture that was already fulfilled around two thousand years ago. They are wasting their time.

I meet so many people like you who used to belong to various church Sects but have been limited by the doctrine and realized they had to walk away because they are forced to accept and teach that particular doctrine and believe it unequivocally. I found so many truth seekers since I left the church. I no longer even call myself a Christian but rather a believer in Yehovah and a follower of Yeshua. I subjugate myself to the Kingdom of God and not the Doctrines of men. I have found men just like me who still seek out God and find truth in the scriptures. I’ve started keeping the commandments of God just as Jesus kept them. John the Baptist declared Jesus as the Lamb of God who came to the World for the remission of Sins. Jesus also told his apostles during the last supper when he broke the bread and passed around his cup that it was his body and his blood spilled for their sins. When he said he did not come to change the law but to fulfill it and not one jot or title would pass from the law until ALL things were fulfilled. That means he fulfilled the blood requirement of goats and bulls for sin. The requirement of blood for remission of sin never changed and that is how he fulfilled the law, that part of the law. But the commandments of God; the Word of God will never pass away. This World and Heaven will pass away before Gods Word will.

A few days ago i spoke to a female JW on the street cart with her elder husband for about an hour. They are people i have known for decades. I explained to them some of the serious issues within our organization and asked her if Jehovah would deliver his people while being aware of these problems (including 1914, the identity of Babylon the Great and how she is deceiving them, the identity of the faithful slave, the identity of the prophet Elijah, disfellowshiping etc.). Her answer was an emphatic "yes." (Revelation 12:9, 18:4).

As a result of several failed attempts to satisfy the god, the pestilence only worsened and at the end they turned to PLATO for advice." See anything wrong with this quote?
PLATO was born in 428 BCE. So he is being consulted some 2 years before his own birth. This is just one example of what happens when the timeline is artificially expanded. The only possible eclipse that can be linked to the beginning of the Peloponnesian War is a total eclipse that occurred in January of 402 BCE, meaning the PPW began in 403 BCE. At 30-year peace agreement ended in the 10th year of the war, that is, 394 BCE. If that was the original 30-year peace agreement enacted at the time of Xerxes' invasion of Greece, then the invasion took place in 424 BCE. The year of Xerxes' invasion has two critical references: 1) It must be an Olympic year. Check. 2) There must be an eclipse over Persia in the "early spring," meaning the first month of Spring. Check. There was an eclipse on March 21st. There was no eclipse in the early Spring in 480 BCE, the revised year for Xerxes' invasion.
Of note, when 424 BCE dates Xerxes' invasion correctly, the Battle of Marathon occurrs 10 years earlier in 434 BCE. Two Greek references confirm Darius I died at Marathon. If that's the case, then the temple was completed late this year (Ezra 6:14,15) since the temple was completed the year Darius I died after 21 years of building beginning the 1st of Cyrus. Thus if we add 21 years to 434 BCE, the true date for the 1st of Cyrus would fall in: 455 BCE!
This is just one of several ways to confirm the original year for the 1st of Cyrus in 455 BCE, which matches the Bible's reference that Jerusalem would begin to be rebuilt in 455 BCE. Even JWs recognize that. Only they date 455 BCE to year 20th of Artaxerxes rather than the 1st of Cyrus.
Anyway, just thought you'd like knowing that Plato is being consulted 2 years before his birth with the present chronology, which is impossible. That chronology also dates the fall of Jerusalem in 587/586 BCE, a date some presume to be accurate, but is not. More importantly, it is not BIBLICAL. The Bible requires the fall of Jerusalem to take place in 529 BCE; not 607 BCE or 586 BCE. Thanks for doing a video on this interesting discrepancy!

I've waited eagerly for Part 2. But please note. First Christ arrives while Satan is loose in the world. During this time Christ seals the elect. After sealing the elect, then Armageddon begins when the "four winds" let loose. After Armageddon, Christ begins his 1000-year reign. The reference in Acts about when he would begin to rule was about the beginning of the rule of the 1000-year rule, but not the second coming.
So basically, when Christ begins to rule in the earth comes after his actual second coming. Acts 1 is specifically about when the 1000-year would begin, and not about the date of Christ's return. Thus the time when Christ begins the 1000-year reign is a date that is NOT established in the Bible and is only known to God. But the date of Christ's return must fulfill many prophecies and occurs on a specific DAY and DATE. Christ repeatedly stated that "nobody knows the day AND HOUR" of his return. He states nobody knows the watch of the day he will return. Thus the DAY of Christ's return must be in the Bible, but not the HOUR.
PLEASE distinguish Armageddon apart from Christ's return. They are two separate events. Thus the "great tribulation" of Matthew 24 which is over before Christ's return is different from the tribulation associated with Armageddon. Here's a rather amateur video about the HOUR of Christ's return not being known.
Thanks for your videos!! Again, remember, Christ must return first and Satan is loose in the earth for a "short while" (30 years) before Armageddon happens. The 1000-year reign begins after all that. The second temple is linked with the second coming. It took 22 years to bild the second temple. We can presume that Christ would also take 22 years to build the spiritual temple. So FIRST, Christ must return at the time Satan is also cast out of heaven. But that would begin a period of time leading up to Armageddon and the 1000-year reign of Christ. The Date and Day of Christ's return is given in the Bible, but the precise time of Armageddon and the beginning of the 1000-year of Christ is a date and time not provided in the Bible and is given to God's own discretion.

@@BeroeanPickets I'm working on it. It was mentioned at district convention by branch committee brothers a few years back (2 or 3yrs ago). Mutilple sources have confirmed in different states. Basically the new light was that the scripture in Matthew 24:14 is not a literal fulfillment due to certain areas deemed too dangerous for preaching, banning, etc. Also the website was hinted as a substitute fulfilment of those unable to be preached to directly. I may be able to find audio as there are very limited written sources on this

Would it be correct to say that Jehovah has always had an earthly organisation? Does not Mathew 13 give evidence that the apostasy came in and it was hard to distinguish between wheat and weeds in Jesus parable? Therefore if so, Jehovah’s organisation would be limited during that time to just a few true Christians? Would appreciate your thought on this
Jehovah has always had a people, but not an organization. The word isn't scriptural and leads one in the wrong direction in my opinion.
When Jesus makes his appearance then I will listen.

I was thinking the COVID was the start of the tribulation, I’m confused but I sure wish for the end to come but I’m a baby for pain and suffering. My view of the great tribulation is different from that of the governing body. See part 7 of this series. However, whatever it turns out to be, it won't start with some sign, because Jesus tells us it will come upon us without warning. Matthew 24:36-44
One thing worries me about all this. If God truly wants all sorts of men to be saved, surely the message in the Bible should be crystal clear and easy to understand? It seems to me that a large amount of time, effort and intelligence are involved in getting saved. Without this, it is far too easy to get misled. Is God a bad communicator or is the requirement to be saved simply a matter of being a good person and all the rest is just window dressing? The simple principles in the Bible, such as treat others as you would like to be treated, are the main things to pick up on and apply.

Based on three prophecies, we know the precise YEAR of Christ's return. This does not contradict Acts 1 about when Christ would begin to rule at Jerusalem. That is, when Christ begins to rule in the earth is not the same event as the second coming. These two events are separated by at least 22+ years. The precise day and year of Christ's return is provided in the Bible, but not the date of Armageddon and the beginning of the 1000-year reign. Here are the three prophecies that point to 1992 as the year of the second coming:
1. The "70 weeks" prophecy. The 70 weeks ends in 36 CE. 455 BCE to 36 CE is a 490-year period. It is the THIRD DAY of the covenant with the Jews of 70 jubilees. If 455 BCE - 36 CE is DAY 3, then the 7th day would be from 1506 to 1996. Christ comes to fulfill the 70th week. Does he come to fulfill the 70th at the 2nd coming? Why not? Christ fulfills the first half of the 70th week from 29-33 CE. If Christ is to come to fulfill the second half of the 70th week of the 7th day, then he would have to arrive sometime after Passover of 1992 but prior to Passover of 1993.
2. The "1335 days" prophecy. The end of the 1290 days follows on the heels of the great tribulation, a unique time of distress for the Jews. This is a reference to the Holocaust. 1947 is the official end of the Jewish exile. This would end the 1290 days. If so, the 1335 days would occur in 1992. Same as #1.
3. The "7 times" prophecy, a prophecy understood by JWs to be 2520 years from the removal of a kingly representative of God's kingdom in the earth at the time of Jerusalem's fall until the second coming. Of course, Christ must return in a physical body again in order to completely parallel this reference. If Christ remains in heaven and invisible then he isn't really an "earthly" representative of God's kingdom in the earth. But noting that, it is easy to apply 2520 years to the fall of Jerusalem. Problem is, the fall of Jerusalem was distorted by the Persians. They added some 82 fake years to their timeline, pushing the return after the 70 years back from 455 BCE to 537 BCE. JWs then apply the 70 years to the false date of 537 BCE to get 607 BCE. Then they apply the 2520 years to arrive at 1914. However, if we follow strict Bible chronology, the 1st of Cyrus must be dated to 455 BCE. Adding 70 years gives us 525 BCE, which would be the year of the last deportation, year 23 of Nebuchadnezzar II. Thus the fall of Jerusalem and removal of the last earthly king would have occurred in 529 BCE. If we subtract 529 from 2520 years, we, again, get 1992!
2520 - 607 = 1913 + 1 = 1914
2520 - 529 = 1991 + 1 = 1992
So you see, three different prophecies about the year of the second coming all point to the same year: 1992.
But again, this does not contradict Acts 1 where the disciples were asking when Christ would set up his kingdom in the earth. Christ comes first to "rule in the midst of his enemies" for a while before actually establishing his kingdom. While he is sealing the anointed ones, Satan is still loose in the earth. So it is again, very important to SEPARATE when Armageddon will occur from Christ's return, which I don't think is a point you are making. Acts 1 has nothing to do with the second coming, but with Armageddon. Nobody knows when Armageddon will occur, but we know Christ must return in 1992. This will become a REALITY for you if you bother doing a little investigation. We want to be EFFECTIVE, don't we?

The scriptures say much, and many have their commentaries about them, but at the end of the day who or what has the final say? Who can find much of actionable value or much to trust in with such confusion and incomprehensible, fragmented sayings of men from thousands of years ago? I can’t find much of value beyond some common sense advice. The rest is filled with gore, hate, and incomprehensible prophecies that have led people astray and to their deaths for several millennia.

In fact JWs should turn it over if they are to respect the authorities. I am not against scrutinizing the organization but I’d like to do so with clarity.
busymountain the records of the Australian royal commission are available to read on the internet - both the final report and the public testimony. Many of us were surprised. About 4 months ago I went to the funeral of a boy who killed himself. He had been sexually abused by an adult “brother” who it was later revealed had been disfellowshipped and reinstated several times for the same thing (no warning to anyone was given each time he was reinstated). The adult is now in jail for one of the abuses that they had evidence of. I personally know one of the women who gave public testimony at the commission, and she was treated shamefully for just trying to bring understanding to decision makers who mean well but have no real understanding how child abusers operate. None of it is reasonable or how we are told it is handled.

You seem to be an honest person in search of the truth, but you still appear to be putting unquestioning faith in the bible. Maybe people keep misinterpreting when the end of the world will come because the bible is confusing. Yet god is not the author of confusion/ disorder (1 Corinthians 14:33).
There are many reasons to conclude that the bible cannot be 100 percent true. Just Google contradictions in the bible. So why do you start with the bible as the premise? From the outside it seems that your still carrying a significant portion of your indoctrination as a child. You shed the skin of the indoctrination, but the body remains. Why is your version of the bible true and why isn't the koran true? I suspect that your reasons are as good as any muslim's reason for their faith. How can anyone looking in from the outside know that either faith isn't false, but fact? When reality doesn't need to be twisted to fit into the biblical model, many thing make more sense and the ability to ask honest questions about the way things work is unlocked.

The bible quotes don’t accomplish much. There isn’t sufficient evidence to think the bits you are quoting are true. They appear to be myth. Please provide evidence, rather than just quoting the bible. It is circular reasoning to use bible quotes to prove the bible is true.
