    Just wanna say that I would LOVE a video that goes over how to best use the data from one of these to improve, and included in that how to figure out the data missing from the GCQuad in other ways like you mentioned. Planning to build a home sim and the extra spend is so hard to justify for the Quad.

    So... can I have your GC2, Matt?! I'll pay for shipping, my friend! Lol. Super jealous of your home simulator and GC3, but I'm also extremely happy for you and I know you deserve it, Matt! It has been my dream for years to have my own golf simulator at home so I can practice throughout the winter months. My wife tells me as soon as we win the Powerball I can have one, but like I told her as soon as I'm confident about the numbers I've chosen to win it they change them again! It's almost as frustrating as golf!

    Ive been contemplating this for some time, after my mevo+ and ipad were left on roof of my jeep and ended up roadkill on I-90.
    Originally it was $3000, thought and thought, got some $$$ for the bday and see it already creeped up to $4000. Thats the Bushnell launch pro, same a GC3, but you have to buy annual subscriptions.

      The problem with this is 2 fold. Its not Apple compatible and to unlock all of the features you have to spend $3,500. Which is the same price as GC3. Also GC3 has in house support. The Bushnell is a great product though.

    I have searched for months, but can't find the result anywhere. Every video clip on youtube compares Bushnell Launch Pro to Trackman and GC Quard indoor, and yes, it is on par with those. The thing is nobody compares bushnell data to real ball flight. Such as, if the ball fly 3 degree to the left, does bushnell show 3 degree to the left? If ball flight has a draw, does bushness also show a draw. I had Skytrack, distance and backspin are all about correct, but the direction that skytrack shows can be off quite a bit. Would you please take Bushnell on the range outdoor and compare the data to real ball flight? If confirm good, I will buy Bushnell.

    While I'm am avid follower and like your videos, and I can see that as they've given you this unit you may not be the best person to ask but.....What is the advantage of this unit over the Mevo+ (except if you use it indoors with potential liimitations for the set-up)? The club path data that the Pro-Package provides in the Mevo+ seems to be a better option than this unit at half the price...

    • @Mattfryergolf
      @Mattfryergolf  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the type of system photometric v Doppler radar and then the software on top.
      I'd try both and see which you think performs better 👍

    • @marksefton751
      @marksefton751 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Mattfryergolf Yes I'm aware that they use different technology but they seem to produce the same data. I own a Mevo+ and have used it indoors and out. Like others, I find the outdoor data from the Mevo+ is very accurate when compared to other systems, including photometric systems, and it has certainly helped me in taming my in-to-out path to limit my big left misses... Unfortunatley I haven't been able to upgrade to the pro package to get club path data from the Mevo+ but with this, I can't see that the GC3 offers much more data. I do agree that the Foresight software is superior to that offered by Flightscope, but I'm not sure that alone merits paying double the price.
      I would love to try both to compare them, that's a great suggestion....Perhaps you could send me your GC3 to set it up against my Mevo+ and if you could foot the cost of the upgrade to the Pro package it would also be appreciated.....😆
      Alternatively, bring your GC3 over to Madrid and we could do the comparison together.... and get in a round or 2....😉

    Have you ever tested how accurate these things are .. ie. Hit a ball out on the course and then have someone on the fairway to capture the landing point .. recorded if the ball flight is as shown in the software .. you'd probably struggle with Apex and spin etc ... To test how accurate these are, But I'd love to know just how accurate these things are since they cost so much

    I find it difficult to justify paying this kind of money for a thing that has lot of its features gated behind pricy software. My closest simulator center has a price of about $45 for an hour of simulator time. I'll keep the money and spend it on lessons, balls at a toptracer range and hours in simulators.
