Always hated most government offices to visit. It is real pain in arsh unless you find a dalal, as most of the officials are corrupted (may be because of low wages or failed bureaucracy).
Facing lengthy and chaotic procedure starts right from taking a birth certificate or citizenship. It is high time to implement scientific and orderly methods in all these ancient/dhadda style offices of Nepal.

Exactly! this is the main reason. Most want to have their work done without proper papers and had to resort to middlemen. People have internalized "Nepal ko kaanoon daiba ley jaanon" and refuse to even look at what documents are needed. If one has the proper documents and has read the law, then the person knows exactly where to go and how much time it would take.

It's high time we reconsider job security in the government sector. There should be an institution responsible for evaluating the performance of existing employees, providing upskilling opportunities, and letting go of with those who cannot maintain satisfactory performance. Need institute which can facilitate the recruitment of new highly qualified personnel, streamlining the laborious process, such as the Loksewa exam. Reducing the number of government employees while simultaneously increasing the salaries of existing staff is essential. Without these changes, it will be impossible for us to implementing more efficient modern technologies, and corruption and external influences will persist.
Implementing clear and well-defined processes will enhance transparency. Taxpayers should have access to the decision-making procedures. We need legislation that grants taxpayers access to records and information.

This happened to me in the transport office, I went to the office, and they pointed me towards a person, for a good hour I thought that person was a government official but when he said he was an agent, he would be taking his charge separately. I strongly condemn this action and would absolutely not like to take part in it knowingly but I did not go there of my own will the government official led me there, and that was a true shame.

Though many official works are digitised like passport and the NID form, the situation of getting in the line is same in every office. Technology alone can't solve this long lasting problem in government office. Increment in the government salary and then strict monitoring the employee should be done. Nepal ma basera kaam garna man nalagera Australia ma company kholera baseko chhu. For a simple documents or some process that needs to go through government organisations, its a waste of a complete day. I wish Nepal improves this system. There are thousands of great technical workers leaving everything single week to foreign country and one of the big reason is government worker's, they are lazy and greedy and have insane authority which is mindboggling in foreign countries. Comparison of the treatment i got in other nation, I felt thirsty a director or chief of governance comes with a glass of water, that happens only in foreign country. In Nepal they treat you like a garbage.
