Fantastic vids! I'm sure you are more than aware of this, but Dick Dale's uncle was an oud player, and Dale certainly used that as an influence when he added his surf guitar sound to the Greek traditional 'Miserlou'. Much of his percusive approach is due to his uncle's influence with the oud.
The logic board had to be replaced. Apple covered it, because, I think, it was a specific issue they were aware of. The flute is coming tomorrow, in sha Allah.
amazing video. I have an oud myself and really got difficulties amplifying it, tried out various pickups/ mics. Was wondering whether you know a good set up to get a clear high signal for live/ recording.

Very cool.. i first was introduced to some great oud playing by john Belazinki (sp?) Leonard Cohen's old oud player... great stuff!
