Very nice interpretation of this "oldie" from around 1933. It was from the heyday of American Yiddish theater. Music by composer, conductor, violinist Alexander Olshanetsky, who composed many successful musicals. Pat Boone, Connie Frances, Dean Martin, Jerry Vale, & others recorded the song, mostly in the '60s, often singing it partly in Chaim Tauber's original Yiddish lyrics and partly in English (translation by Don Raye). If you enjoy romantic lyrics, search under Ikh Hob Dikh Tsu Fil Lib, ich hob dich tsu fil lieb, or I Love You Much Too Much. For the original flavor and sweet harmony, try the Barry Sisters (nice change-up when they switch to English) or a gorgeous one by Jan Peerce (he sang opera). Wishing health & blessings to all Santana fans.

This is Carlos' interpretation of Ikh Hob Dikh Tsu Fil Lib (I love you so much) which was written/composed by Alexander Olshanetsky in 1933. You can find the song here on TH-cam.

Carlos once said that "when you turn on/up music...you bring light into the darkness"

I heard this piece of music in 1987, and I have been searching for it for too long. Yesterday night I heard it through my shortwave radio. My lord, how lovely the radio is!

“Music is, to me, proof of the existence of God. It is so extraordinarily full of magic, and in tough times of my life I can listen to music and it makes such a difference.”

Gran sentimiento en las rolas en que Santana se muestra como la estrella de la guitarra que es, las grandes piezas romanticotas de que sin letra, dicen mil cosas ¡¡¡Excepcional!!!! Carlos Santana, el mejor!
