Even through my range on cornet is minimal, I've been pondering adding a flugelhorn just for kicks and possibly to add an extra voice to the tubas in recordings.
Even better is the lower version. It sits perfectly for the flugelhorn with no strain at all. It was supposed to publish alongside this one, but I sent @matonizz the wrong file, haha. Sometime down the road...

It's a nice step up the grand staff, and matches nicer than cornet or trumpet.
