(1967) Willie becomes intrigued by the portrait of Barnabas. Carolyn tells Elizabeth how Willie harassed her. Check out the about section on my channel for more DS episodes, links, and info.
atlantic 11561 Because hers was still a secret. Rogers was out in the open. Remember she said to him "Everybody has done something they regret for the rest of their lives."
Cyan Blackflower True, but that makes her no less guilty. Even more so, because her act was deliberate while Roger's was accidental. I often wonder why she did not do to Jason what she did to Paul! (At any rate, Barnabas would take care of that for her).
atlantic 11561 Yes, that was my first thought, why doesn't she just do away with both Jason and Willie. I'm sure Nobody would look too hard for them if they just "left". . ...Unfortunately I can't watch past ds 210 yet. Hulu does not work outside the U.S. Yet, They say they are working on it....I might have to buy an ext. HD and download the series, but then that is a lot to put into something I may only watch once. About 120GB...If I did, I could attempt to upload the whole series to YT for others on my other channel. However if "Victoria Winters" is afraid to do it, and have "her/his" channel shut down on copyright grounds, and there is a real problem there, it might be a self defeating project. so I will first look into other ways to view the eps 211+
Oh man, sorry about that! Do you live in Canada? I hope that gets resolved for you. One other observation. I know it would have been a gruesome thing to do, but couldn't Liz have enlisted the aid of Roger (or someone else who could be guaranteed to keep their mouth shut) to dig up Paul's remains, and dispose of them elsewhere? And why the hell did she even want his remains anywhere in the house to begin with? At any rate, moving his remains to an undisclosed place would have killed Jason's story right there, as no one would believe him over Liz. Too bad Matthew Morgan was no longer around at this point, he definitely would have done it for Liz, and probably killed Jason to boot!
atlantic 11561 Absolutely. No doubt about that, Old Matthew certainly did have his uses. I'm surprised Paul's ghost wasn't troubling her, but then what can you expect from TV fiction? Yes I live in Canada. I may go buy a 5 TB ext Hard Drive this week. I could use one, as I'm out of room on this machine. Need more RAM as well. I could even dump the epeisodes onto disks. We'll see.
Yeah...I was thinking that when Roger was looking for Sam's paintings that he was going to come across Barnabas' portrait, maybe in the closed wing of the house, then it would be hung. That would have been a good story line to introduce the painting instead of having it just appear one day.
Me too , so disappointed , I was watching the beginning episodes for this particular episode all along, I wanted to know how the portrait was gonna suddenly appear, Disappointed!!!
Richard McWilliams Back in the olden days, when Dark Shadows aired, no one had any idea that anyone would be watching nearly 50 years later, hence the lack of continuity.
+Nicole Oliver It was actually seen at the end of a recent episode (204 or 203) for the first time. Maybe when Roger was looking for Sam's paintings, he found this and decided to hang it in the foyer (I know, I know - that's a stretch).
I do not understand it. Roger realized quickly that Laura would not dare go to the police for fear of going to prison as well. (And she would be nowhere near her fire power source). Liz should realize that Jason would also have to go to prison as an accessory, and that is the last thing he wanted.
I never understood why James Hall was replaced--I know Mitchell Ryan was replaced because he had a drinking problem and years later Don Briscoe was replaced because he had a breakdown do to drug use
Yeah, I had been led to believe all these decades that James Hall was a bad actor. I think he makes a terrific psychopath and is wonderfully creepy. Quite frankly, I"m going to miss him. My gut feeling is that they may have thought he could upstage the vampire when he's supposed to be pathetic. So they chose to take Willie in a new direction, which admittedly, worked. I didn't know that about Don Briscoe.
Cool. So awesome seeing Barnabas for the first time. Ratings are about to soar.
@21:14, "Boom, boom...boom, boom....Barnabas's heartbeat(things are picking up!)
Why was Liz so adamant about turning Roger into the police for an accidental death when she is supposedly guilty of premeditated murder?

Funny that where the portrait of Barnabas is hanging, only a few episodes before there was a mirror hanging.

Avalon Folmsbee I was thinking the exact same thing.
Me too , so disappointed , I was watching the beginning episodes for this particular episode all along, I wanted to know how the portrait was gonna suddenly appear, Disappointed!!!
Way back in a prior episode there was a coat of arms hang in there
Richard McWilliams Back in the olden days, when Dark Shadows aired, no one had any idea that anyone would be watching nearly 50 years later, hence the lack of continuity.
Woah, did you all see the portrait of Barnabas, and what the eyes did?
Yay, Barnabas is coming! Barnabas is coming!
But where can we watch him for free? I understand the Barnabas episodes are not on youtube?? :(
Why didn't she say "Leave Carolyn and Vicky alone"?
Why isn't the home of the Collins family called COLLINS-WOOD? It's Collinwood.
Gee, they had the nerve to not iron Jason's newspaper! What an outrage!
Barnabas!!
That portrait was never there

Its a good thing Willie doesn't know what Jason's hold is over Liz
Caroline in real life married sam evans
They were only married two years.
The bloodsucker arrives! Jeepers creepers where'd you get those peepers!

I didn't know that about Don Briscoe.
Willie: "I didn't touch that Little Girl"
tapeduk The family better hide that gun in a new place before Willie gets his hands on it.
+tapeduk If Uncle Roger finds out that Willie is harassing his little "Kitten", Roger will put a bullet hole in his forehead.
Baranabas' eyes are kinda creepy in this episode,,,,never noticed that before in the later episodes.
If I were Caroline I would have held onto that gun
+Kim C That's what I was thinking! Why put it back where he knows it's kept? duh
That ruby ring later becomes onyx. Not nearly as impressive.
