Man, putting Bowser's Castle so low hurts my soul. I love the fire bars, ball and chains, boulders, lasers, and giant Bowser. So much enemy variety.
Valid. That’s definitely one of the most contentious takes I had. I just don’t really enjoy the course that much. Stuff like the boulders and fireballs is easily avoidable, and the big bowser gimmick was done better in past bowsers castles imo.
The only reason I agree with the guy is because I feel like there’s way better bowser castle tracks

I think the takeaway is that none of these are bad, because the only criticisms were "I haven't had a fun moment on this track" Which is a feedback loop because you never play them. If you played them, you would have fun moments.

Tick Tock Clock at 32 is literally the most painful thing I've ever seen in my entire life, its my favourite rendition of any course ever. Its so unique with a fantastic song and beautiful visuals and really fun gameplay. HOW DID YOU ACTUALLY UNIRONICALLY PUT IT AT 32?????

I actually agreed with most of this video! I would probably have swapped bowser's castle and mk8's rainbow road, since I for some reason really enjoy the former and very much dislike the latter, but other than that I thought the video had the exact ranking that I would do! Also the video edits and commentary were on-point as always 👌

It’s one of my top 3 courses, soo underrated!
Yeah, it's definitely one of the best beach levels in Mario Kart, but it doesn't compare to the much better and more ambitious tracks in my opinion.
That being said, I do consider it to be the best track in the Shell Cup, which is saying something.
My favorite track is Yoshi's circuit. Idk what it is about it, I just love doing many drifts as tight as possible in a time trail

It's definitely one of my favourite songs, but there's loads of other fantastic songs in this game too.
I'm pretty sure the shortcut on rainbow road is intentional, because I've seen red shells take it, maybe even CPUs, heck I'm pretty sure it's not blocked with steering assist.

THANK YOU FOR PUTTING CHEESE LAND IN A HIGH SPOT!!! Its such a fun track. It requires decent skill cause of the slipperiness and the holes in the ground, and it has good shortcuts, which is a rarity in this game.
I agree with you on big blue. I didn't time trial it for 88 hours on 200cc for no reason.
The only reason why most people don't like thwamp ruins is because of how frustrating the course can be, once you nail it, it is a great track though

I honestly don't get why bowsers castle is so low, that bowsers castle is anything but boring and in my opinion one of the best
toads turnpike was the first track I played in this game on the Wii U, me and my siblings all played as Bowser and used the exact same character-kart combo. it was fun not knowing that the hell was going on
Yeah, if you thought the Deluxe version was fun, wait until you try the N64 version. That version is extremely tense, especially on Mirror Mode.

I always love water and ice themed anything (even Zelda dungeons), so Cheep Cheep Beach and Water Park, and Sherbet Land are easily top half for me.

Toads turnpike is literally my favorite map in all of mariokart
the visuals are really important for me and sunshine airport gives me the same kinda vibe as coconut mall (my fav track from mkwii, my fav mk). Happy it got in the top 10.

I’m pissed about Toad’s Turnpike being where Shy Guy Bazaar would have been if Nintendo didn’t horribly despise Mario Kart 7
If you are underwater or in an antigravity section if you hold back on the joystick you slowly fall and at the end of the f-zero track(egg cup) and you hold back you make it over all the turns(you go even further in 200cc) and in dolphin shoals at the pipe section go to the middle on and trick of it then hold back and you completely skip the section
When I play with my sister, toads turnpike is literally her favourite, because she goes on the back of those cars, and she loves the side areas! She is 9 years old, and we only play for fun and are not skilled(don't know any shortcuts lol), but we love it when toads turnpike comes up.
Toad's Turnpike is also my least favorite in the entire game. At least on Baby Park something interesting happens. It's a giant, boring figure 8, plus you need to dodge traffic the entire time. The fastest path is literally just hugging the turns then go in a straight line to the next turn.
Mount Wario and Big Blue are goated, I agree. My personal favorites are Electrodrome and Ninja Hideaway, but those two are up there too.

Baby park in dd- I am a creation of Satan to drain the sanity of those who play. My tight oval shape allows giant items to take up a huge chunk of the road and my many laps allow for the full chaos.
Baby park now- Oh, it's all anti gravity and no broken items.
Wow. what's with all the negativity with all these bottom tier courses? They aren't even that bad compared to some others I've experienced in both past Mario Karts and the Booster Pass! If this is what I can expect from Thomas on ranking Mario Kart tracks, then I don't think I need to see what he'll have to say about the Booster Pass when it's finally complete by holiday next year.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: my fav course, due in large part to the themin/music, is Sweet Sweet Canyon - plus despite being short its still got atleast a lil of all 3 extra 'elements' (glider at the start, anti grav/underwater with the split paths) and i like that donut shroom cut at the end leading to exciting finishes

Seriously? Wario’s Gold Mine at 35? That really pisses me off. I was expecting it to be in the top 10. Wario’s Gold Mine is my childhood favorite. I played Mario Kart Wii all the time until one of my family members accidentally scratched the disc and I never got to play it since 2015 and still can’t as of right now. I just feel so insulted.

21: Bone Dry Dunes (I don’t hate it, I kinda like it a lot!)
20: Toad Harbour (I’ve never understood the hype for this one)
19: Dolphin Shoals (The weakest Star Cup course)
18: Hyrule Circuit (Filled with Legend of Zelda nostalgia)
17: Mute City (Not as good as the other F-Zero track)
16: Sweet Sweet Canyon (Themed with candy very, very well)
15: Super Bell Subway (Not the best traffic track, but it is still awesome)
14: Twisted Mansion (I’m biased toward ghost tracks)
13: Thwomp Ruins (Easily my favorite track in the Mushroom Cup)
12: Shy Guy Falls (The waterfalls look absolutely beautiful)

As someone who's never played anything past MKDD, to me it looks like making all the karts go faster would make the tracks better. What made MKDD good was that there were some treacherous sections at 150cc/Mirror. All the subsequent games' tracks look too big/wide for the speed

Dude, this list hurts my soul. How is big blue better then hyrule circuit? It didn't make it in the top 10. Hyrule circuit when I played it the first time, I was in tears, tears of joy when I was playing that track. Collecting the rupees, jumping thru the master sword and all that rocking out to the legend of Zelda theme song. But no, donut plain 3 is better? I will never play donut plains 3
