you dont get movies like this..this was ultra violence to the highest order..the choreography deserved some chinese oscars at that time.. the 2 actors in the end looked like they were doing extra hard on the kicks and punches.. and those spasms by beardy scared the shit out of me..a top 10 classic!!!
Leung Ka Yan has amazing Kung Fu. Yes I remember back in Oakland California we had 2 theaters that were Kung Fu all day into the night. Growing up in the 60s and 70s and early 80s we saw amazing Kung fu movies .I wish they made them this good today.

Aww, It was all so touching only the last got me in tears. Then the dramatic ending was absolutely amazing but still sad loosing the little boy 😢. Though he did so brilliant in acting for his age.
Born in 1976 I have a brother who is 13 years older than me …. I grew up watching these my whole life. I’m from the lower east side right by Chinatown so I’ve been going to the movies to see these movies since I was three years old and this is maybe the best kung fu movie I’ve ever seen. … I forgot all about it until I came across it here and right from the title sequence. I remembered the movie vividly…. Thank you for this upload.
Back when I was a kid we had a video shop nearby. Anyone remember those? 😂 but yeah they had a big old skool martial arts video library. My older brother was seeing the girl who worked there and he`d bring home some of the vhs tapes you could rent every weekend This was one of those movies... never thought id see it again 👍

I was obsessed with these movies as a kid. Brings back so many memories! Drunken master, snake in the eagles shadow, crystal fist etc etc. Then I'd run around making sounds effects fighting imaginary foes for the rest of the day. Lol
One of my favorite kung fu flicks. Growing up in queens nyc as kids we would all go in the house on Saturdays at 3pm to watch these flicks. When we came outside when the movie was over we were all acting like CRAZY MANTIS😁. I remember one time after watching a kung fu flick we all came outside and was pretending to be kung fu masters. I was fighting my friend on the side of our apartment complex i kicked him in the stomach and he lost his balance and fell through a basement apartment window. He needed stitches because the broken glass went right through his leg and had to go to the hospital as well. My parents had to pay for his doctor bill and the window and i got my ass tore up😅 My dad beat me like he was Crazy Mantis😅

YO!!!! I remember watching this film (a church friend of my pops who knew I liked martial arts films)when my pops brought this one home. I was up at 3 or 4 am watching this flick and the ending left me so shocked... I just couldn't believe it ... But it was FUCKIN' DOPE. So much so that I waited for both my brother to wake up and immediately had them watched this flick.... Reaction = The same.... So glad I found it and I couldn't remember the name....
Ptl.This movie set 42nd street on fire when I was growing up. It was a great time to be a teenager in the seventies and the price of a ticket was only $ 2.50 cents and you could stay all day until the theater closed.
I think all the cast here is already too old now or probably died for old ages but they left us this movie. A very awesome movie and I thank you for that to all the cast may they rest in peace

Great 80s Hong Kong Kung Fu movie for me. Memorable Mantis Kung Fu style protagonist, Ah Chi 😁. Memorable villian known as Jade gang and there boss Mr.Shiao with Eagle Kung Fu style(if I am not mistaken). Love all fight scene(Ah Chi tried to learn Mantis Kung Fu from the master and when Mr.Shiao get to show off his Eagle Kung Fu skill 😁) in this movie especially the end fight that make this movie become very memorable too me till these days o o. Love this movie as a 3 year old : For those who do not understand "a Master Praying Mantis *if he controls his saliva & maintains his moves , developes his own primal poison to defeat his worst enemy* also please take a moment to appreciate the fact all of his moves are completely in form and are master level praying mantis skills (the storyline relives scenarios mentioned in the bible in an avenging way)

Another great movie by Lian Chia Jen, I did like this movie especially the last fight which was amazing. Does anyone know what happened in the end? That is a good question guys. I would rate this movie with 7 out of 10 hope my verdict is fair enough.
