I really regret taking my black truck through contact car washes. Still have to buff and polish the whole truck. But touch less is all I will ever do again.

I have done that before. I have another canon filled with it and I moved away from it. I don’t like how it gets everywhere when you spray and I feel bb straight works better.
@@Scoobyfreak86 brake buster in an IK foam sprayer (the one with a compressor valve makes it so you don't have to manually pump) is really nice and super easy to only get on wheels
When your deep into a hobby, outsiders think its excessive and it is to a point but thats what detailing is. Most just go to automatic car wash twice a year whenever their car is covered in dirt, for us how we see dirt and deem whats dirty is out of the realm for most.
No drain. Slab is properly pitched. Water runs out to the driveway through the channels of the Swisstrax. Any residual water is dried up by night or following day (depending on ambient temp). Been washing in garages for over a decade this way and no issues.
Did you ever attempt to wash in the garage prior to doing the Swiss tracks? I’d love to do Swiss tracks at some point but that’s probably a ways off. I’m contemplating a similar system for my washes at my new house. The concrete wraps two feet from the floor so I’m not worried about damaging sheet rock or electrical. I’d assumed the garage floor is somewhat graded for drainage purposes.
@nsbancroft yes I washed prior to the Swisstrax as well. Just used a broom and brushed out residual. To code, it should be pitched away from the house. It being a new build, I’m sure there is a proper grade.
Not necessary. The foam is on the car prior washing and soap in the bucket. You want to keep as much slickness on the paint as possible when the mit is on the paint.

Touchless is the truth . Implemented into my wash process and the car is probably 90% clean before the contact wash.

I do a hybrid wash with BH Touchless. Then I do a contact wash with rinseless.
You should try brake buster in a foam cannon, it’s great
