I'm really curious about the water maker, trying to decide on getting a portable unit or installing something more permanent. This company looks like a good option, if it can be fixed easily...
Hey SV Meeko, this is Hal. Yes the watermaker is fixed. It turned out to be something very simple. The high pressure cutoff valve vibrated lose. It has a lock nut underneath the valve but I guess it wasn’t tightened enough at the factory. So what happened was the water was bypassing the high pressure pump. So if you get one of these units just make sure it doesn’t come lose. We do cover the repairs on a future video but we are a little behind. It appears to be a good unit and when it works right it is an efficient watermaker.
I guess you’ll “Waste” time at some anchorages…Oh well…On to La Pax…Continue to Stay Safe and Enjoy😎
Glad you put quotations around “Waste”, as time on boats is never wasted. 😊
Onward indeed. It’s just par for the course with sailing.
I hope you picked up earplugs in La Paz😂.
