Hard to believe how much weight that little dog was carrying around. It was a shell or a cage on him. It's brilliant you got him shaved, a welcome shower, drying time, finish tidying up groom. He will feel so much more comfortable.

This poor dog is absolutly traumasized , exhausted from his stray hard life. And you as a groomer did not give him any signs of feeling safe. Also the way you lifted the dog's leg is disgusting, it's a wonder that the thighs were not dislocated by this unsensible handling!
Be aware, this dog has/had a hard suffering life, give him the surgery he deserves!

It is because it is so matted that the clippers have a hard time going through which can pull. So he moves to a different spot to give that area a rest. Watch more grooming videos that have commentary and you will understand (other than it is pretty common sense stuff). Try watching Man's Best Friend. He does a great job telling what is going on. I this this guy did a great job. I wish I could come steal this sweet pup.
