But if you cook the canned food when it reaches yellow or red durability into a stew the newly crafted food will be safe to eat. Also there is another entrance to the Airfield you were at on the far left side with much fewer enemies, I usually encounter maybe 1 or 2.
You left a machine gun in the barn by your starting point because you didn’t have room and “would come back for it” “if you remember” I believe it may have been in a green stack of crates or the trunk of a car

The lower the freshness, the higher your chance of getting malaria from it. Or so I am told. I have just embraced it. The game is way more enjoyable just accepting it. Those special books are needed further down the tech tree. I am in need of the solar drawings and they are no where to be found. And the silencer is not silent.
If you can jump on top of the crates, you should be checking on top of the containers too. Also when you collect the ammo, are you able to load the magazine with it? that would free up a slot in inventory and give you a loaded magazine for your weapon.

North east corner of map on the coast. White two story building with a fence. Like 40 zombies in there but military chests in the basement. More than you can carry assault weapons.
i found all the guns i've gotten just scattered around the starting area in cars and houses.the one thing you need to do is go back to the downed plane, you didnt search around. theres lots more loot and guns there. need to use your craft stations to get to at least level 1, if not level 2- then use books/traders for the higher skills...... the one thing you did do wrong imho, is you rushed to get to an area with a well- that someone else told you about. i think if you would have explored the starting area more and got the beginner stuff, you'd be having an easier time of it now. ( and even found the well in the starting area behind one of the middle houses). i am about 12 in-game days in on this and i've barely been out of the starting area...... also, when 1st starting a game, in the character creation screen- there at the bottom is a button called features. you hit that to give your character 3 random perks and 3 random sanctions. i clicked the random button quite a few times till i got some i could deal with ( i remember a couple- iron stomach, -21% chance to get malaria and improved carry, +20 to weight- so i carry 70 instead of 50. the 2 bads were -minus to running stamina and longer search time. i dont remember the other good/bad)
DMZ will always be lacking until some type of crafting capability is available. I want to take a water bottle, a tin can, three rolls of tape and some cloth and make a silencer for a gun damit!
The colors on the food tell you. Green is good, yellow less so and red is canned malaria. Cook everything and eat it as you cook. Cooking a can just about to turn still yields a fresh meal.
Looted the Airport here the other day too. Loaded up a little white hatchback I got nearby. I was searching for more fuel in the run down cars there and decided to loot it a little as well. After I loaded up I went to the nearby Gas station to the Southwest. Car attracted a bunch of Zombies and one of the was the Crawler Super Z guy. He FLIPPED my car. After I got out I tried to kill him, but it shredded me, and it was shrugging off shotgun blasts like they were nothing. It has a distance closing leap and It wrecked me hard. Luckily I already made a respawn point nearby with a makeshift bed. Snuck back, repositioned my car that was laying on it's side, and got the hell out of there. Couldn't find my corpse and I didn't waste any time on it. The car was just at 50% durability from one kit, and after it flipped me and what else damage it did to the car, the car was nearly broken. Took like 40% damage to it's durability. Not sure if they have a certain area they spawn around, or what, but now you've confirmed that they are at the airport now too. I figured there may have been a real baddie or two there, but I only skimmed the outer edge, and only saw walkers and a couple of runners. Didin't want to press my luck lol. So watch yourself coming up on anything around that part of the map. Made off with a sniper silencer and a rifle silencer though from the airport. If I see one again I'm gonna see what a sniper will do to him. Yeesh 60 rounds though to drop him and nothing to show for it, well almost nothing. You got bragging rights for dropping one lol
So newbie question here, but for the life of me I can’t figure it out. At 23:06 you look through the site…how do I do this?? I have a scope on my “sniper rifle” and red dots on the other “assault rifles” but I can only aim in third person. Thanks to anyone that can help with this. Kage, your videos are the best. My buddy and I saw the mutant zed at some kind of power plant and we were like "Well it cant be too bad!" We both cleared our arrows, he threw his spear into it and suddenly poofed into a gravestone and I ran for my life and cheesed him through a chainlink fence lol. Somehow I could hit him with a sledge hammer but he couldnt hit me. He is a spooky lil dude that gave me 1 piece of rotten food lol
It is a toss up for what you get, I got lots of weapons from airfield. But another place I always hit and get lots of weapons is NW corner of map, that building has creates of stuff on each floor. But there is a trader that sells guns, you can trade stuff in for. think it was bottom half of map.
I know this is about the military base but I have a question about the room, why are the triangle corner NOT snapping into place seems one does (left side but not the right side it if it is facing left or its off, I place the horizontal beams, but they still don't snap. can someone help me please ty ty.
26:58 The Dev posted in the Steam forums the other day that weapons cannot be repaired. I hope there was some miscommunication because that doesn't seem like a good idea. I haven't played enough to know though.
Guns can be repaired... Today before going to work I was playing for a while and I repaired my weapons without problems Maybe they are talking about melee weapons?
@@zalagard Yeah, he must have been referencing melee. Glad I misinterpreted because that would have sucked to have to keep finding new guns to replace the degraded ones. lol
FYI if you are effecient wtih guns alot of the zombies only take one head shot with an asault rifle type gun..Gameedged was doing it left and right with the SCAR...also you can look down the sights of the gun I remember him saying you have to double click something
The houses where you first spawn in the game. I was watching another streamer and he ended up with 2 mp5s 1 ak47 2 scars in a matter of minutes from starting the game
i have caught malaria from clean water as well several times and from canned food that was cooked and it looks like the devs removed getting your materials back when tearing down base pieces, oh and i have found better weapons in cars than at the airfield, i had mentioned in two other videos the airfield is not the place for guns
They need to rework the weapons in this game. No machete is going to take 5 hits to kill anything. Heads should be flying on the first swing. They made the melee weapons that should be op late game seem like you are trying to kill zombies with a butter knife
i think you left a shotgun and an smg the first episode before heading to where you built your base don't remember if it was before the restart or after though
I wonder if the starting attributes play into what you find. I've found 1 sniper at the plane that's it. Have tons of AK Scars, the uzi pistol thing. No issue finding machine guns for me. Lol your base is looking great. Wish I knew we could load old saves...would have saved me some gear. When I die there is no body to retrieve for some reason.

I was able to stand on a car and kill that crawler. It took 60 to 70 AK rounds I think. But he never tried getting up on the car. 😆 Didn't even see the thing so wasn't very ready. But car saved me 😆

The little white booklets are for upgrading your tech tree. You need to keep them.
Malaria is from mosquitos. Dysentery can be from dirty water or bad food. Any mosquito problems? :)

When you are not at your base on hord night, it will pass. So no attacks when you return to your own base.
Find and keep all the schematics you can, need them to unlock benches etc in the tech tree
Check the armouries in police stations for shotguns, take lock pick kit or crowbar to open locked doors

Maybe u got maleria from the stew when u used dirty water cooking it into stew
Use the drawings in the tech tree for certain stations.

Go back to the start area. You found a shotgun in a container in the first building you searched on this playthrough

Of you spam the crouch button when you're carrying too much, you roll and you can travel faster whilst overloaded
*Keep the military cloths for the trader!! They are worth big coin.*

From my playing mate once your food is below green even just in yellow its a 50 50 if you get malaria 😁

Their naming is a bit fubar. Eat wine, the iron knife is actually a machete. The steel machete is actually a kukri. Clip is a magazine etc.
I think sniper deal more damage than m4 so maybe u should try take zombie down with sniper before u go in 😊😊

There’s no such thing as a silencer, they are called Suppressors as they suppress the sound
Yeah, too many people take movie gun lore as real. A real suppressor gets the sound down to around 90db, which is about the same as a jackhammer.
You can get malaria from food that is in the yellow. When I set up my character I made sure that I had 'Iron Gut' as a trait.

Loot in the helipad but under it on the ground and also on those huge round buildings on the top :)

you can go to a couple of police stations they give you pretty good ammo and weapons
The symbol for malaria was a mosquito. Did you pass through a wet or swampy area? Are there diseases associated with areas?
In this game malaria is more of a synonym for stomach problems since you only get it from drinking dirty water and almost rotting food
Can you place labelled boxes on the car like in mist? Instead of the backpacks?

When you die, if not permadeath games leaves grave marked with a cross and you can recover your stuff by opening it

Could you have started your game on a low loot chance? It would explain your water bottles, the cooking pans and the lack of weapons
