2:54 Counter Strike has its own game engine developed by Valve(steam's parent company) called "Source Engine" "csgo" ran on "source 1" and "CS2" runs on "Source 2".

Sorry to break it to yall but as a game dev IT IS NOT TRUE THAT UE4 IS TOO HARD THEN UE5.... as a game dev who tried both... they are good enough to do a replay system and they are both so easy to use... both actually are the same layout and how to use the UE5 is the same on UE4 technically more Graphical updates would actually be true for UE5 but being easier then UE4 is kind of a lie tbh since they are both the same... Updating to UE5 would open new possibilities but mostly graphically... but doing a replay system in UE4 is the same as doing one in UE5 PLEASE DON'T SPREAD FAKE INFO. I understand you said what you heard but since you aren't a game dev that is completely a lie.

You can play agent roulette by having your entire team hover over the same character. Whoever is host of the party will get that agent and everyone else gets a random agent

The one of picking random agents when the timer runs out happened when randoms in my game were like Brimstone roulette and I got Phoenix which was around the time he was not really playable
They are moving from ue4 to 5 for following purposes:
Better skins - better finishers
Replay system. They said replay was not in mind, but if they will develop valorant "from scratch", they will plan and make a lot more.
Counter Strike 2 isnt on ue5 its on source 2 (valves own engine)
By the way, most cheat codes back in the day were debugging tools.
That's why most cheats do stuff like unlock all levels or infinite money/HP. So they can test mechanics without game overs or playing through the game over and over again.
Its not always clear if it was intentionally left in the game as a easter egg to find or just forgotten.

the angles on the pattern are also ISOmetric (60 degree) angles. isometric grids are use for 3d renders all the time, and can create some truly beautiful effects, which i love. Still hate iso though

I finished my game art studies, and Unreal Engine 5 is overall newer and better than UE4, it makes things look really good and realistic in a more effortless way, and can overall handle more polygons. Think of it as a new iPhone 5 coming out back in the day :D
honestly, it will be a completely useless update, given that everything a cartoonish shooter needs is already possible in ue4

The code for making the replay system in UE5 is the same in UE4 its just not documented.

Valve still using its own engine for Counter -Strike, since they ditched the Goldsource (a heavily modified version of the QuakeWorld) Engine and switched to the Source Engine with Counter -Strike: Source. With the arrival of Counter -Strike 2, they switched from the 20 years old Source Engine, which was used for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as well, to the more advanced version of the engine, which called Source 2 Engine (and NOT Unreal Engine 5).

I'm unreal developer, currently migrating things to UE5, I believe valorant will not take advantage of graphics (which ue4 was good enough) because valorant is more tactical than realistic game. UE5 has many other advantages related to realism, like chaos while destroying walls or bricks or glass. Instead of being a pre-recorded animation, UE5 is able to generate a realistic chaotical animation of something being destroyed, with a "relative" cost for your video card, minimal requirements RTX 9070201720391-ti
