Hi was catching some older videos today I will have to dig around because I would love to see what you did with the vest to sweater and why you picked the way you did it
Loved the sweater and the vest. How funny, came across your video while I was crocheting, and was working a project with the same "driftwood" yarn you were showing! I do love the subtle colors in it.
Thanks Robyn for your advice. I did complete the vest to sweater project and showcased it in a later video. You are right, the sleeves worked out best knitted from the body and down to the sleeve cuff. You can check it out in my “three transformation...” video.
The vest is no longer - I finished up adding the sleeves and it’s now a full sweater - my husband wears it all the time, so the transformation was worth it!
Hi Maribel - Thanks for commenting on a video from months ago! I'm impressed that you're digging into the archives. So funny today, that if it's no longer current (like less than a minute old), it's no longer interesting... LOL. I'm like you, I watch my favourite TH-camr's older videos, because there's so much great content and tips.
Hello! I watched your video and went on and put some Paintbox yarns in my cart - a sale on Aran at the moment. I was fully expecting not to go through with the sale because I figured that shipping to Australia would blow that idea out of the water - but oh joy! the shipping is under $18 which is sooo good and I ordered some beautiful yarns at a great price. I am also challenging my colour selections - thank you for that! Very happy xx
Hello Lesley - a fellow Australian (even though I don’t live there anymore - I still call it my original home and place of birth). I am so happy that Hobium shipping turned out to be a surprising deal! You’ll love the paintbox yarn.
I thought I wasn't able to do it too in the beginning, but all I needed was a few weeks of drilling out scarfs and things of a rectangle shape to build up my confidence. If you have a good movie or TV series to listen to (as my visual focus is normally on my working hands), then that's a good way to settle in for an evening of practicing stitch work. I would encourage you to keep going!
Hello Tenisha - thank you for your question. I purchased these yarns from www.lovecrafts.com A little tip before purchasing online, you can click on their “create an account” to set up a record of things you like or a library of patterns, and they send you a discount code sometimes to use in your first order. Also, they regularly have sales on many of their yarns, so I think waiting a while is best. ...and one other thing on their higher end yarns - I see the prices fluctuate and increase when they say they are on sale - so they’re not really as a good a deal (but that’s for their higher end stuff). This site is good for the paintbox yarns.
Great review, I love your project! :) what would you say is the softest paintbox yarn? I’m planning to make a scarf for my mom’s Christmas gift and I don’t know which one to choose
Those paintbox colors are amazing😍😍😍
I’m excited this is my second video and you are fabulous ❤️🧶🇨🇦omg the sweater is amazing

Thanks Rachel!
You do such beautiful work.
Thank you LaNeil. Welcome and please enjoy.
The FOs look great. I wanted to test out the Andrea Mowery Fade Shawl in either a shawl in a ball or in the touch of hue collection.
Gorgeous work! Love the detail on the vest.
Ithink l would do from the armhole down...the other way is too much guess work......the yarn you ordered was lovely....

Beautiful colors. Haven’t worked with that yarn yet but did purchase a few. Not sure what to make though.

Except for the volume being low, I loved looking at that video with all the paint box yarns and your knitting handiwork too.

I just ordered washed teal, among other colors, this weekend. I hope it looks exactly the dye lot of yours. 🙂
Hi Zen - love paint box yarn! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Leave the ribbing on and pick the sleeve up from underneath the ribbing and knit down to the cuff
Thanks Wendy for your advice. I like that suggestion and I will put that in the execution plan.
Thank you that is a good idea I will try and let you know my progress I really enjoy your channel. Please keep it up.
I thought You said you were in Canada but your accent didn't make sense to me. Then you mentioned Aussie 💡I'm in New Zealand.

Hello Maelle - Oooh that’s a tough call on the softest paintbox yarn... I would say the the acrylic is a nice soft yarn and easy to care for.
