Revolutionary urban parkour vehicle… with the same mirrors BMW has been fitting for 20 years on just about every model 😂
This isn’t aimed at motorcyclists but trendy young things who’ve grown up with e bikes. It’s apparently the future until you realise it’s the same price as a decent used car. Probably only be financed though. I do wonder who is actually going to buy one as it looks awful and is basically useless outside of town - so why not just buy an e bike weighing < 20Kg with a similar range and 20% of the price - but then I feel the same about the design of most recent BMW motorcycles.

Thanks for the review. Have you? or can you review the CE04?
I'm much more interested in that as it has a bit more range and power.
I'm in a sub urban environment and my commute is about 110 km round trip but most of my other day trips are around 20-40km.

I love these new techy bikes but can’t spend the funds on one. Still after 40 years in the saddle I’m open to new things and I could use this where I live I’m 4.5 miles from work! They’re very polarizing people like them or hate them

Great review. The tech really doesn’t seem to work on bikes. I have a 20 mile commute into London and electric would be ideal but they just don’t compare to my current GSA. And they are ridiculously expensive.

Love your reviews. Could you please be a little more specific as to what currency or speed measurements you are referring to? I know you're in Germany, so I guess you're not using miles per hour and when you say the price, it's probably not in dollars, right?

I enjoyed the review you did as usual but only because I was curious not actually interested in any kind of electric vehicle. The cobblestone fiasco was the highlight for me! I’m old school. I like ICE. I have a 23 RT like yours that I absolutely love! I also have a Porsche 992.1 Carrera S. Absolutely no electric motor on that either! 😂

Here's the problem with these E-motorcycles. Here in the UK, I would have to have a motorcycle licence. Along with that, I also need insurance. But then, as it's considered a motocycle, you need a helmet and appropriate clothing we need to pay road tax as well. Who on earth would buy one? A simple electric pedal based bike needs none of that.

Like all this electric mobility stuff it's got interesting features which is looks essentially but if you look deeper inside it's pretty much pointless. So if you're someone that thinks he must absolutely consider this (in my opinion hideous) thing making any sense at all, go ahead and pay a stupid price for a stupid thing. It's your money....

Made in China, I suppose? Made for the urban asian crowd with high income. Commute to your daytime job at some App-developing office or overseas bank. Expats shpuld be the target customers. I do not think that BMW is planing to sell these things in Europe in any numbers... Not at that price, for sure. Prohibitive pricing!

Purely for the city and pointless. I live in a city, I commute on my bike, and I look forward to going for a ride in the country, I can't see the point of a bike that you can't take out for a decent ride.

@@NothingToProve Your possible minimum speed on a German Autobahn legally has to be 60 km/h. This vehicle does that. The permissible current maximum speed has nothing to do whether you can use a vehicle on the Autobahn. But still, I would be worried. If you tried to use the left lane or even the center lane, drivers would get mad. And on the right lane, the trucks would love you there as well.

at least they're marketing it appropriately. URBAN ASSAULT VEHICLE. Zero and the others claiming E bikes will replace your gas bike are kidding themselves. Most "pleasure" motorcycle owners and "Adventure" riders will ride way over 100 miles in a day in the USA. Then there is the price. You can get 2-3 GROMS/MONKEYS for this, which are INCREDIBLY Efficient and, therefore, environmentally friendly. Then there is ANY USED BIKE of ANY SIZE that is going to be WAY MORE environmentally friendly to just use an nice used bike for DECADES with mininmal impact and cost. The technology isn't there for most of what the average commuter or biker wants. Money no object? There are still way better options out there. It's a novelty and a toy.
E-trials and woods bikes are the only platform I've seen that make any sense since the average persons fitness level won't outlast the battery for casual exploring and the lack of noise and power makes them a great option to expand where you can ride without pissing people off with a traditional ICE bike.
