    Finally a video that show the western line. I was born in Kungsängen and now live in Jakobsberg. So it is nice to see a video that cover that line most go past Södertälje on this channel.

    Eu amei de verdade, a imagem é perfeita e belíssima. Eu amo esse tipo de conteúdo, porque para mim; funciona como uma terapia, me acalma, e me tira o estresse e ansiedade da preocupação. O lugar e a paisagem é incrível. Parabéns pelo magnífico trabalho. Um grande abraço daqui do Brasil, São Paulo. Nelson.

    Hi. A very nice video. For a country that changed from driving cars on the left-hand-side of the road to the right-hand-side (and overnight at that), there's an awful lot of left-hand running on Swedish railways; why is that?

    • @jatterhog
      @jatterhog ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Swedish trains run on the left as default. Mainline trains won’t run on roads anyway (:

    From seeing all the trains along this route sitting idle, I'm wondering how many trains are running at one time verses the number not in use. Is the number 1 in 10, 1 in 20, 1 in 30? Someone must have the numbers.

      No idea, probably depends. Guess that most of the trains (say 80-90%) are running during the day.

      Max 200 km/h. このセクションの最高速度は時速200キロメートルです。スウェーデンにはもっと速い列車はないと思います。

      @@Marisolita_95Botniabanan is built for 250 km/h but no trains currently operate at that speed

      @Marisolita_95 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jatterhog No trains operate at that speed? Do you know why? I mean, why to built a line max 250km/h but then all trains are traveling 200 km/h? Is there any rational reason for this?

    • @jatterhog
      @jatterhog ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Marisolita_95 the trainsets were actually slightly adjusted. The X62 for Norrtåg is slightly modified from the X60/X61 with a higher top
      speed (180 vs 160 km/h) and the X55 was built with the possibility of expanding to 250 km/h. But SJ:s new X81(?) trains coming in 2026 will be able to travel in the full 250 km/h on Botniabanan and perhaps soon segments of Västkustbanan and Södra Stambanan too :)

    • @Marisolita_95
      @Marisolita_95 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jatterhog Ok, that makes sense. So, different types of trains are designed to travel at a certain speed, and in the future there will be this version with a speed of 250km / h. Good thing for SJ. Btw, I was born and raised in Maracaibo, VEN. My mom is Finnish. We moved out of the country to FIN back in 2009. The following year I had the opportunity to travel through Sweden to Denmark and from there to Central Europe. That was my Interrail trip. The trains in Sweden are clean and comfortable to travel in, just like in Finland, though the double deck cars in Finland are the best I have travelled in, very spacious and pleasant to just sit on your seat and admire the view. Thanks for the clarification! Happy late summer! 🌞 Greetings from my current hometown Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, we have no rails nor trains here lol. Hasta luego! Ciao! 🌴👋💕
