I’ve always found handlebar bags to be very useful. I have usually had one with the transparent pocket on top for supposedly putting a map in or a phone. But I never actually used it in all the years I had one, so I wouldn’t miss it. Thanks for the review.
Great review Bill, all problems I didn't think about but surely would have encountered sooner or later! Saved me a lot of trouble buying the wrong things, cheers! 😅
Crikey that's a neat-and-tidy conservatory, garden, bike and outfit!...you're obviously a man with an eye for detail and who likes to have things spick and span! 😉 I have a slightly older version of this bag, with an Ortlieb mount which is fixed to the bar using a wire winding around in a cross pattern and then cinched down with a bolt. This wire system is tricky to get really tight so the mount has some give and the bag bounces up and down a little more than I'd like and is a bit noisy when the road surface is uneven, a problem which is particulatly noticeable when carrying the sort of stuff you show in this video. I notice that you have a different mount but that the bag still seem to have some bounce when you pushed down on it at 6:13...do you notice it bobbing up and down when you ride at all?
Excellent question which I hadn’t covered as I never ride at night and only use the bag for specific reasons during daylight ! It would cause an issue for a typically mounted handlebar light like mine although I’m aware of various workarounds other users have, like small height extension for a handlebar light, Helmet light, fork mounted light etc but yep- you got me with that one 😁👍
@@OrdinaryBlokeOnABike Great reply, thanks Bill. So many handlebar bags are too tall for a light which is a major safety issue in my opinion. I rarely ride at night too but still have a light blinking away to startle on-coming (van) drivers. I'll continue my quest for the perfect bag. Happy Riding, cheers Graham.

Yea I think those pockets are less sought after as we gradually leave paper maps behind 😁

Glad it helped!

I love your critique of my tidiness !! 🤣 As for the bag I'm pleased to say it doesn't bounce when i ride 👍
I love handle bar bags. I can store a top, gloves, fruit, gell a few tools, pump,phone.....
Yep, they come in very useful !
Where does one's front light go? Bag obscures it, methinks.
