Mike Myers is incredibly humble. He was part of my entire childhood and most of my adult hood and it's crazy to me I've watched all his movies and never knew what his real talking voice sounded like. Such a cool and amazing actor. Influential, and should go down as one of the best of all time.

I do hope he makes a comeback. His silly style of comedy is a breath of fresh air, and we need more of it. This planet needs to lighten up!

One of the most funny and versatile comedians ever. I love his shootout to Conan too. It seems like people have nothing but good things to say about him too. We love you mike
That line reminded me of Gene Wilder's movie Young Frankenstein when they're en route to the castle and hear a werewolf and Gene goes, "ah, werewolf" and the other guy goes, "there wolf, there castle" very silly lol
Definitely one of my favorite people to ever come out of SNL. One of my favorite people in general. I'd love to see him do more "serious" roles. He's underrated in that department. He's incredibly smart. Not just in terms of comedy, but in general. He's very articulate.
Mike myers is one of my favorite actors of all time. Dude is a comedic genius and will go down in history as one of the greats. Love your work mike hope u keep coming out with more gold!!
Him talking about his dad really made me laugh! I wish we saw more of him in movies or voice overs. Its been a long time since ive seen him in anything besides Bohemian Rhapsody
Having my formative years of exposure to comedy being the era when Mike Myers, Chris Farley, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Chris Rock, Norm, Adam Sandler, etc. were on SNL feels like a gift. So I’ve always follow these guys and their careers. It’s no secret that Mike has had ups and downs with his costars and career. But he genuinely feels like he’s back to what he used to be and loves to do. And I think a huge part of that was him making peace with himself and Dana Carvey. I feel like ever since he’s done that, he’s turned the corner. It makes me really happy for him.
Ooh...this was cool. I enjoyed his analysis of his colleagues, and just his analysis of people as a whole. I didn't realize how good he was with voices either!
I’m so happy that he’s mentioning all these really cool inspirations like Dave Foley (who is so awesome), Peter Sellers, Conan. All fantastic comedy guys!
The Pentaverate is up there for me with Twin Peaks and The Prisoner for multi level analogy and subtext. To make it very funny too is brilliant. To write it, play all those characters and have the technical ability to make it work is genius.
It’s so fascinating to hear his analysis on comedy and his peers. He exhibits such intelligence that, after seeing some of his performances, almost takes you aback. I definitely admire the man and his passion for creation. He seems like such a powerful mix of comedic entertainment, drive, and intellect.
Loved the kind words about Conan. People forget that not only is he the greatest talk show host of all time, he's also one of the most prolific comedy writers and was instrumental in many superstar's careers.
I have always been a huge Mike Myers fan. I can quote each Wayne’s world word for word, and the Austin Powers movies. They made my childhood and teen years. I love hearing him talk. He’s so humble. He really is a brilliant actor. I could listen to him chat all day about anything. He’s a Canadian treasure and I’m so proud to be a Canadian right along with him.
What an incredible talent and a really humble guy. I love that he spent a good time of this video lifting up and giving credit to some of his many co stars. A true professional!
I’m incredibly glad to see Mike back after all this time and enjoyed the new show. It’s a fun, light, not to be taken too seriously show that also has a meaning. And it was fun to see the Ken Scarborough character being the quintessential nice guy on screen. The critics are taking themselves WAY too seriously. Let people have stupid fun.
I'm actually so glad that Mike is a lot more reserved than your typical celebrity and only really steps out into the light when it involves something he truly enjoys. He's not all glitz and glamour, being followed by paps everywhere and broadcasting his life for the world. He's just Mike Myers, a dude that really likes to make people laugh and that's all that matters to him. Thank you Mike, for everything.
I love seeing Mr. Myers back in the light I missed him I’ve been a fan of everything (even the love guru) he’s done and I’m looking forward to what’s next for him. Welcome back sir.

Eh, on Wayne's World he wanted 6 changes done to improve the final cut, and the director said, no, I don't feel like working on it any more. That's what made him 'difficult,' LOL.
He is such a professional and talented person. It was a joy experiencing The Austin Powers movies and laughing along side my family at the movie theater throughout my childhood. Thank you Mike Myers for sharing your talent.
apparently he’s not one to enjoy the limelight and that’s why an interview like this is so rare as well as him being out of the public view for so many years at a time. A true comedy and film legend
Pentaverate is so great. It was incredibly refreshing to get a big dose of Mike's humor. I grew up seeing a lot of his work, and I don't think I realized till now how much I've been missing it recently. Love that fella.

8:30 that whole sentence made so much sense. "who do you think you are?" vs "who you want to be?" As great as Canadian film is, there are reasons why most good stuff is done in the US.
I feel like it's been quite some time since I really saw Mike Myers doing his "thing." After watching the first episode of Pentaverate, I realized that whatever that spark was that he had back in the '90s that made him great is still present, and fully intact! It's great to see you again, Mike! (Watching So I Married Axe Murder was a tradition in my home on par with Christmas, so to be able to watch a show now that's spun from that movie 30 years later... Well, what a world we live in!)
Mike sponsored a boys and girls club that I attended in Ontario. My brother and I were selected to receive hockey game tickets provided my Mike. Ottawa vs Buffalo back when I was 6 or 7. I loved the new series! His characters in the Pentaverate are amazingly funny and incredibly different from each other in looks, speech, and mannerisms, as his characters always are! His characters are always the best part of his work, and the number and diversity of characters he played in this series truly showcase his incredible talent. Mike Myers is still a comic genius
He seems like such a genuine, glorious person. Wish we saw more of him. I would also love a Scouse character from him because I love when he does the accent. A genius!

I’ve heard he’s a perfectionist, and considering his passion for and knowledge of his craft, I can kinda see why: he clearly cares a lot about comedy, acting, and such, and he looks like he can get quite serious about it.
After his long hiatus from film and the stories of being a terror to work with, I’m glad to see Mike back and hope that he brings the funny back with The Pentaverate.
Loved his comments on the classic SNL era. It's a shame so much material from those episodes is not readily available online. Everyone should watch the entire Dana Carvey and Mike Myers years on SNL. He, the rest of the cast and the writers were on fire during that time.
@9:11 Mike the pentaverate was soooooo good, what a return to form!!! All of your jokes hit so well and I hope you are encouraged to do more, ever since “so I married an axe murderer” I have been a massive fan ever since!!! Keep up the fantastic work!
What an absolute Master Class in comedy. His genuine humility and admiration for his peers and others in the industry that helped him along the way, as well as a love and respect for his father, was very...comforting.
As a Canadian, a hardcore golden age SNL fan and a massive fan of comedy in general, it doesn't get much better than this video. Fantastic stuff here. What passion he has for his craft.
When you go back and watch the SNL sketches with Jan Hooks, you realize that she was the glue that held them together. Rarely was she the flashy character, but they couldn't work without her.
I was very pleased to see him mention her more than once in this. I think he's right that she was playful even though she took the craft of performing very seriously. She was gifted with a lot of natural talent. And made a great 'work wife' for Phil Hartman in all their sketches together. Worth looking at the early Wayne's World sketches where she briefly played Wayne's girlfriend.
Man I just totally forgot about this treasure of a human being. I grew up with him through watching his amazing work on film/tv. Just watching this I'm glad you're still alive and kicking ass Mike. Still funny and fascinating as hell. I throw you your roses 🌹🌹🌹 long live!

Ive not seen much of him in interviews actually, he seems like a really interesting guy! He's pretty unassuming but thinking sbout it, he's made some of my favorite and most quotable movies! The Wayne's World movies (And SNL), The Austin Powers movies & The Shrek movies. We rewatched those things SO many times growing up. Sure he's had a few that didn't do as well, but imo he's earned the right that I'll check out anything new he puts out and give it a chance!
Awe, he's so delightful and genuine! I love hearing his thoughts. *smiles* Also, that 'Canadian lilt' (up-speak) appears more in the easterly part of our country and is a lot softer, to the point that it's not noticeable. The Canadian accent is different all across the country.

I really enjoyed listening to Mike talk about comedy. I also had a great time watching The Pentaverate. I didn't realize how much I needed a good dose of his silly type of comedy. Thank You MM
"Alright, how fast can we find this funny?" That's the best way to live right there. People get so precious about things these days, and hey I get it, some stuff is important for sure, but that doesn't mean you can't also have a chuckle and enjoy yourself for fuck sakes.
I loved that show just as much as all of his movies. He is just the best. So humble.
A genius!
So crazy, I have heard numerous times over the years that Mike Myers is a pain...a grump...a butthole etc. but in this video, he really seems genuine, humble and just a brilliant guy who loves to make people laugh.. He's one of my all time favies for sure. #PARTYON #KAUFYTALK
I’ve heard he’s a perfectionist, and considering his passion for and knowledge of his craft, I can kinda see why: he clearly cares a lot about comedy, acting, and such, and he looks like he can get quite serious about it.
Lots of sharting know-it-all’s need to keep stooling up …
Apparently no one wanted to work with him bc he is such an asshole lol
Mike you gotta do more of these, love listening to you!
The Pentaverate was completely hilarious! Really, I haven't laughed that hard in ages.
it was really neccesary after war and covid, indeed I haven't laughed that hard since Louis ck shows
After his long hiatus from film and the stories of being a terror to work with, I’m glad to see Mike back and hope that he brings the funny back with The Pentaverate.
Great interview. Good to see the serious side of funny.
mike played a big part of my childhood, love him and the work and laughs he’s given us ❤️
The posture, the rhythm of speech, the casual sage guidance….when did Mike Myers become Lorne Michaels?
What an absolute Master Class in comedy. His genuine humility and admiration for his peers and others in the industry that helped him along the way, as well as a love and respect for his father, was very...comforting.
Man I love this man so much. Would love to see more of him
hes so humble and honest, and always mentioning names of the people he learned from, national canadian treasure!!!!
I want him to make a low budget film for the internet. Just to bring the world back to the core of what makes quality entertainment.
As a Canadian, a hardcore golden age SNL fan and a massive fan of comedy in general, it doesn't get much better than this video. Fantastic stuff here. What passion he has for his craft.
I really enjoyed hearing these parts of his perspective.
I just realised that I could listend to Mike Myers all day. Superb communicator and story teller, and just a genuine and humble guy.
He is one of the best to do it and he knocked this out the park.
"Who do you think you are, who do you want to be?" really liked that moment.
"How fast can we find this funny" is maybe the best mantra I've heard in a long time, especially nowadays.
That's the right way to live right there. People get so precious about things these days, and hey I get it, some stuff is important for sure, but that doesn't mean you can't also have a chuckle and enjoy yourself for fuck sakes.
This was needed and I didn’t even know it. I love mike meyers so much and am so glad to see him just sit down and talk. I hope he is encouraged to do sit downs more often we clearly all enjoy it and enjoy him in general!
So he's not Canadian. He's British, but raised in Canada. 😂😂😂
I love that he stays so humble and honors his colegues.
That says a lot about a person.
He seems so humble, gives shoutouts to so many ppl who have touched his life and craft
I have to say this show was great Myers does it again 💯💯💯💯
Awe, he's so delightful and genuine! I love hearing his thoughts. *smiles* Also, that 'Canadian lilt' (up-speak) appears more in the easterly part of our country and is a lot softer, to the point that it's not noticeable. The Canadian accent is different all across the country.
I'm glad Mike is back in action, especially if Jim Carrey is leaving.
he'll be sorely missed such a great person 😊
This is so compelling. I could listen to Myers talk about comedy for hours.
Loving the new series… Mike Myers never disappoints.
Im so happy he did this. reaching out too us like this has really made me a happy long time fan. I love you Mike
You can tell that he takes his art of silliness and levity very seriously haha
Which is good IMO
I will always remember being so delighted seeing Mike Myers unexpectedly pop up in 'Inglorious Basterds' (2009)
