Scott has an incredible range. He sings bass when Avi or Matt sings lead. Both Avi and Matt have incredible ranges as well, and Kevin can sing lead and very high falsetto like he does in “Imagine”... Thanks for your lovely reaction.
🥺It’s hard to give this song enough superlatives. One word to describe Mitch’s voice is ‘extraordinary.’ 🥰 Somehow at the end of this song I felt liquid spilling out of my eyes and trailing down my cheeks. I’m not cutting onions. You’re cutting onions!
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The to and fro between Mitch and Scott is just stunning. The should get their 4th Grammy for this one - it's so beautiful. Also, it's Italian that Scott is singing (to emulate Andrea Boccelli in the version with Celine Dion) as I'm sure you've figured out by now from the comments. Just magical!
Scott has the most amazing range of all of them! In Hallelujah he took over Avi‘s Base when Avi was Soloing, same in Sound of Silence, when it was Matt‘s turn. And yet he can go really high as a tenor, too (as is also displayed in this video). He is the most versatile of all, a Swiss Army knife voice!
I look forward to Mondays with you! It is Italian. Kevin is also singing besides his subtle beat boxing. Kirstie's boyfriend, Ben, made a video which highlights the making of the album "Evergreen" in the studio where this song is and many other Christmas songs from last year. Here is the place to look, if you are interested: Pentatonix - The Recording of Evergreen - TH-cam. I hope this earns them their 4th Grammy.
It appears you really like great harmonies. I suggest you react to "My Heart with You". It is pure harmony with no solos or featured singers. It is also the quietest song that Pentatonix does. They always sing this in a tight circle facing each other, even live, in order to blend with each other more. Their harmony is so tight that in this song, the 5 members almost become one.
Isn't this a gorgeous version of the song? We're hoping for a 4th Grammy this year - they released the song too late for last year's awards. Like all of their forays into foreign languages, PTX (in this case Scott) actually had a tutor to help him with pronunciation and accents (he really took "rolling your Rs" to a whole new level, LOL!). His Italian is a nod to the most well-known version of this song, the duet by Celine Dion and Italian opera tenor Andrea Bocelli. And starting off the song in his lower register (which we don't hear enough of IMO), was an added kick! Recommendation: I'm always a sucker for Say Something or Shallow, both featuring Kirstie!
It is beautiful! And amazing to see that they look into the details so much. Shallow has been recommended a few times and I’m definitely doing that one soon 😊
Hi Carmen. Love your reactions. Scott has a huge vocal range, and they are each so talented. If you can next Monday, I'd love to see your reaction to Shallow, the Bradley Cooper Lady Gaga, cover. Kirsty shines in this performance, and Kevin "cello boxes." It's my fav. Cheers. 😊 P.S. Christmas here in Aus is always hot.
I have a few other suggestions before that, but it will definitely be added to the list because I love that song! I’m so interested to see how they cover that one 😊
I recommend their cover of Strmae's 'Papaoutai', and their 'Perfume Medley'! Papaoutai is sun in French and is a collab with Lindsey Stirling, and then Perfume Medley is done in Japanese!
Hello Carmen. Pentaholic reporting for duty to join on your PTX reaction journey. Looking forward to your Monday reactions then! This is a masterpiece of A Capella performances, stellar arrangement and supreme vocals. Mitch is beyond superb -- starting so beautifully, owning this with such conviction and those notes that he hits and holds and those runs and vibratos. Scott so perfect with his operatic Italian. Kirstie so sharp and belting. Kevin driving the beat with drums and clashing cymbals. Matt so deep on the undertones. The harmonies. The solos. The duets. The bridge, The crescendo. The wall of sound. Pure Pentatonix Perfection. This deserves Grammy #4 for PTX. Loved your reaction!! More PTX please - about 250 songs, all genres, 3 Grammys and 11 years of music to cover. Suggestions: Bohemian Rhapsody; Imagine; Sound of Silence; Amazing Grace Can You Feel the Love Tonight. Subscribed to your channel now.
Hey Meg! Thank you for subscribing 🙂 I’m definitely excited to see more of PTX. A few of your suggestions are already on my channel, such as Imagine and Amazing Grace and coincidentally, I’m posting a video tomorrow of my reaction to Sound Of Silence. Spoiler alert: I was amazed 😳 Thanks again for subscribing and the other suggestions!
@@CarmenReacts Thank you for responding Carmen. I just discovered your channel. I will have a look at what is on your channel for PTX. You must have enjoyed Sound of Silence!!
I have a suggestion for that Sunday random group video. There is a group called Chapel Hart. They are made up of two sisters and their cousin. They did a video of an original. The song is called You Can Have Him, Jolene. Just as a side note Dolly heard it and fell in love with the song, and Loretta Lynn heard it and asked if they wanted to update one of HER songs. Just a thought. The easiest video for you to access will likely be the one from AGT where they introduced You Can Have Him, Jolene as their audition. They got a wonderful reaction from both crowd and judges. This video is readily accessible on TH-cam.
They said this is the most complicated arrangement they've ever done. All I know is that if this song doesn't win them their 4th Grammy we riot😂 Also, Scott can go lower than this, he takes over the bass whenever Avi or Matt is singing the actual words. His voice does sound a lot richer here though.
Hi, Carmen. Very nice reaction, it makes pretty the end of my evening. I would advise you react to one of the most amazing voices of our days, namely to Dimash. Technique of singing is perfect, absolute voice control, unbelievable range in 6-7 octaves and at the end he is nice young man. Which song? It depends, which genre do you like (almost all genres from opera to rap) and in which language do you like (French, English, Italian. soon it comes in Spanish, Chinese. Russian, Japanese (about 14 languages). But traditionally song SOS in French goes as the first reaction. He has very strong supporting community everywhere over the globe, people from this community called Dears. They consider Dimash the best singer ever.
That last harmony never fails to give me chills.
Scott has an incredible range. He sings bass when Avi or Matt sings lead.
Both Avi and Matt have incredible ranges as well, and Kevin can sing lead and very high falsetto like he does in “Imagine”...
Thanks for your lovely reaction.

Isn't it so beautiful?!!?! Ugh I love this song and PTX so much!!!
Gorgeous 🥰
Scott’s a baritone, but like all of them he has a wide range.
His voice is incredible!

Oh that sounds interesting, I’m going to take a look at that in my own time. For sure, this was beautiful 💛
Love the place in The Recording of Evergreen where Kirstin gives herself chills listening to the nearly completed version of The Prayer.
THIS IS WHY PTX IS THE BEST A CAPELLA GROUP IN THE WORLD🌎
🎵❤🎶
Can you feel the love tonight is good!!!!!
I enjoyed your reaction and am happy to hear about PTX Mondays. I’ll be watching for them.
Beautiful
All of them are gold!

Oh wow, that sounds right up my street! Thank you for the suggestion 😊
I have to agree with this. It is another amazing PTX song.
Just when you think they can't get any better...
Hello Carman. Thank you for reacting. My Heart With You is my suggestion. And Gold, if you haven't reacted to it.Thanks.
Not to pull you to far away from Pentatonix but would love to see your reaction to Mitch doing a solo cover of Your Power by Billie Eilish. Please!
100%
I absolutely second this, it's hauntingly gorgeous
OMG Yes. I love that song. It’s Krispy Clear and flipping Amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

you are becoming one of my favorite reactors Carmen ... thanks for doing these reactions ... they are very good ..
Thank you so much, that means a lot 😊
Loved it since it first dropped. So Beautifully sang.
Pentatonix did a beautiful job on this You need to hear Marcelito Pomoy do this song just like Pentatonix
You have fantastic analytical skills, you did way better at noticing the small things than I did. Love you reaction, keep it up! :)
Thank you 😊
They all did amazing on this song. Yes, Mitch showcased his vocals tho.
He really stood out to me!

There is a behind the scenes video for this. Worth watching, when you have time.
Love that I know where I am going to be every Monday!!!
Great reaction. Now I have something to look forward to on Mondays. Thanks.
Yay! It has become my favourite day as well 🙂
I just subscribed to your channel. Tysm for your reactions. Sing is an original and has their fans in it. It will really get you smiling!
Thank you for subscribing! I’ll add it to my list 😊
I legit LOL’d about halfway through when you said you missed Kirsten knowing she was about to blow your eyebrows off.
😂
Scot covers the bass when the bass is singing lead.
Just stunning!

Yes, Scott is singing in Italian!
Yay mondays! Great react video. looking forward to more!

There are so many good PTX videos to watch, but if you want a little variety throw in a Superfruit video (Scott and Mitch).

Agreed
Please react to Pentatonix singing
“Be My Eyes” written and sung by Kirsty❤️
Please check out joyful joyful live from tbeir evergreen tour.
Jij doet ut goed Carmen
Hi Carmen love your reactions
Thank you 😊
@@CarmenReacts you are very welcome friend
Some Sunday do the Home Free version of How Great Thou Art. The backdrop is absolutely gorgeous and so are their harmonies.
scott with a low voice, check sound of silence
That’s coming soon! 😊
You have great reactions. Please react to "Break My Heart". It is such a fun one.
Yea PTX Mondays.
Recommend their cover of Seasons Of Love.
You don’t seem to have done PTX’s Run To You yet… a spellbinding original from them from a few years ago.
I’ll add it to the list, thank you! 🙏🏻
Scott has a broad range. He has done bass when Avi was doing solo.
when matt is doing solo too, he didn't stop doing bass line
You need a Nightwish day.!
To REALLY get "Mitch-slapped", listen to 'Come Along' !!
Too many pauses but thoroughly enjoyed hearing Pentatonix.
I have to pause to be able to say what I think and react to the video 🙂
No Scott is not Italian. He learn to do the part in Italian like the original song. Excellent
I know he’s not Italian, I just asked if the lyrics were in Italian because I’m not really familiar with the language or the song 😊
@@CarmenReacts Oh so sorry. In thought u said that....Its cool!👌😊
You should do Pentatonix' mashup of BTS "Butter x Dynamite"
YES! That’s definitely coming soon! 👏🏻
