So I couldn’t find the written recipe for this anywhere and I’ve been wanting to make this for the LONGEST time this is also my childhood right here! My mom used to buy a box mix of this that had the most beautiful vanilla scent to it! It literally perfumed our cupboards with this delicious sweet scent! So I’ve wanted to make it for years because we can’t get a hold of the box mix so just to maybe be helpful to someone else I wrote down the recipe from this video and added the method too :) Purin/ pudding/ flan/ crepe caramel recipe; Caramel : - 1cup sugar - 1/4 cup water Custard: - 3 whole eggs - 1/2 cup Sugar - 2 cups Milk - 1 tbsp Vanilla In a pan combine sugar and water making sure the sugar is evenly spread across the bottom of the pan to prevent burning Do not stir! Leave on medium to low heat until dark golden colour, turn off the heat and allow to cool slightly before adding 2/3tblspns of caramel to ramekin In another pan heat milk and sugar until dissolved, stir in vanilla. In a separate bowl crack eggs and whisk until combined, slowly temper eggs with milk mixture until all is added, strain mixture to prevent any cooked egg from appearing in the final dessert. Spread milk mixture into ramekins leaving an inch from the top, cover the top with foil and place into steamer over a simmering pot of water close the lid and steam for 10-13minutes, Once steamed remove ramekins carefully and allow to cool on the side to room temperature, once cool enough place into refrigerator to chill. Once chilled remove from ramekin and serve :) Stay safe people! Wash your hands! 💕
