Man, such a great car for the price. I heard reliability outside of warranty is a little shotty, but people who leased or bought this new got a great deal. Sucks that 90% of the used GT models rolling around now are so beat up. People treated them like they were the next SRT4 when they really weren't.. idk why FCA didn't go that route and charge another $3-5k for an SRT model. That's the only thing this car was missing. I'm so sick of SUVS!
I just got a 2015 Dodge Dart Rallye with the SXT package, Sep. 7th 2022, and I'm lovin it! Mine doesn't have all of the bells and whistles, but the backup camera & extra interior space is a far cry above my 2003 Nissan Sentra GXE. I will pay this off and upgrade to the 2014-2016 Dodge Dart GT in the future.
I have a 2015 dart GT with 26k miles and the manual. No major problems yet. Handles great. Rides harsh on those low profile 18 inch tires. It does 35mpg on the highway which is better than what the EPA said it would do. It's not a fast car but with the manual, it's adequate and it's fun. The exhaust sometimes crackles coming out of first or second gear which I love. This car is also priced and competes in the compact segment but feels much roomier than anything else in it's class. The only downsides I've experienced are the batteries in both of my key fobs are close to being dead. Seems to have depleted really quick to me. None of the buttons on the key fobs work anymore. The engine burns a bit more oil than what I'm used to. It's full synthetic but I would have to change the oil when the oil life monitor shows 15-20% life still left and the dipstick would be at 1/3 past the minimum mark.
I change the oil in mine at 66% on the oil monitor/3k miles with full synthetic mobil 1 every time. Never burned a drop of oil!! Do not trust oil monitors noob Changing the key fob battery takes 30 freaking seconds ... Get good Yes it's the slowest car I've ever owned And yes I have the 2015 gt with manual transmission And again... Do not trust oil monitors I run continental aws d06 all seasons and it runs smooth as eggs
I have the 2014 dart gt seems like this one is legit the same thing just with different hood and one thing that's not chrome in my car thought it would be different but there always still good looking cars!
+Eduardo Boquin i have a 2015 Dart blacktop SXT, i am sad too they're stopping it, we have a nationwide dart group that have been waiting for an SRT version but that will never happen now
@@MichaelAdamsRocks where was this if I you remember I seen on the map that it was by market and that’s close by where I live and would like to see if they have any more cars like this one
Dillon Hughes these cars are pretty much nothing more than seriously overpriced disposable cars. Seriously no better built than a 90s era Yugo, Skoda or what have you. Built with faulty components, some major like faulty, cracked, warped and/or exploding clutch plates like the one that came with our Dart. Which according to the service representative at Abbotsford Chrysler dealership where we bought the car new told me to my face that, and I quote... "under normal operating conditions it is a completely normal occurrence to wear out a double wet clutch at 40,000 - 50,000kms." And that it's common practice to replace the clutch when doing the brakes because they both wear out at roughly the same time under normal circumstances. I seriously had to restrain myself from wanting to punch that lying prick right in the face. these things are junk and not worth the recycled scrap materials that they've been 3D printed from!
ta2joe13 not to sound like a jerk but stay away from Chrysler Jeep Dodge or Fiat they're not very good cars buy a Honda or Toyota even Hyundai has great warranties in their cars are good as well
This car was Discontinued because of Lack of performance! and no other reason! The '13 1.4 engine had many problems. I had to traded mine in for the GT model! The car is nice, the problems were reduced but still there! dealer couldn't find any troubles though till 3 days after my warranty was up! :( The Dart is a heavy car and the 2.4 is underpowered. 3.6L would've kept car in spotlight! I Still have my 2014 GT.
Malte Micha I gotta say that for the first year I absolutely loved our 2014 Ralley GT A.K.A the "ANGRY PUMPKIN " 2.4L 6speed manual transmission. I had bought the performance model as luxury wasn't what I was looking for. then the recall notices started to come, and thankfully for us we got the extended 3 year warranty because after about 15,000kms shit with recall orders started to break. like the clutch sleeve assembly which is a small plastic part that connects the shifter assembly to the transmission linkage that went twice in 6 months at a cost of over $800 to repair each time. faulty electrical sensors on operational par with a Mercury *Mistake* (Mystique). So happy to have gotten rid of it before the faulty clutch went at 60,000 km. but hey according to dodge that's normal.

The 3.6 wouldn't have fit in it (without major struggles). ... The 3.2 would have been great, though. Coulda, shoulda. .. *That* would have been the sports version.
Dart seems like a nice looking car with a decent spec sheet, let down by quality and design faults. The net is littered with stories about how these are shoddily made and suffer premature failures.
Finally got a 2014 GT yesterday! The only things mine is missing are Blind Spot, Moonroof, Surround Sound, Nav, & the Sirius "more" setting.
Legit the best review of this car I've seen yet!...Sub earned!

@@soujaunlimited Wouldn't recommend the 2014 model year, heard they have lower reliability

On tires upgrade your width to 235s (with the middle number, and last # the same) ... Will make all the difference, ride and handling.

how many miles can be driven on the engine 2.4
I was really looking forward to getting the manual finally in cali. oh well. fiesta st or FoST, here I come
You're not missing much
It's got the weirdest clutch in the world
Still slower than crap
Thanks for the review. I had no idea there was an eyeglass holder above the mirror.
it's a shame that they're being discontinued for more cross overs. when gas goes up again, which it will, they'll just bring out another compact

Is the hood scoop and vent functional? Can seem to get a solid answer
Also what is the highest trim level? Can’t seem to get an answer for that either haha
Yeah fully functional , air enters and exits. It’s not for show, they are functional
@@ryankenney4558 The GT is the best, far as I can see.
I miss my Dart :'(
I was thing about buying one and I hear the engines are bad and dodges rust fast is this fast
Dodge is the best
I am so jealous of you Michael
I owned one of this, it’s amazing car!!!
I’m thinking about getting this for my first car do you have any tips or can tell me what went wrong with your car in the past
What's the last trim level of the dart??
The Dart Limited is the last trim.
+MichaelAdamsRocks do you know which one is best??
+Ricky Morales gt
+jesus christ yeah I just bought one 2 days after I saw this video
Ricky Morales home your enjoying it I bought mine to but no nav D:
Can I put a hood like that on my 2013 GT?
Did u buy one yourself?
No
I have the Dodge Dart GT 2016 Brand for the Dodge dealership and I don't have that spot hood and no sunroof. Why is that now I'm really mad
I know the sunroof is an add on feature but I think the sport hood comes standard on the 2016 GT model. They were only on the 2016 models.
Really sad to see the dart go
i got one in asphalt 8

Yes
very hot looking car sucks it couldn't be faster
0-60 mph in under 8 seconds is good, for the class. It isn't competing with the V6 Maxima.
.. And they are all in all cooler than a Civic, or Corolla.

This actually replaced the avenger
This replaces the caliber which was before the neon. The avenger was replaced with the Chrysler 200.
how is it holding up

mfmf100 it's a Dodge I would never buy one
Go look at a new dart at a Dodge dealership then go over to Honda and look at a new civic you can tell the difference in quality just by look at them
That is what happens when you launch a car, before it is ready.
