Hi there this was a sponsored post for Instagram but i thought I'd post here too for those that follow me who are not on Instagram - hence why its not a full screen video. Details to the products mentioned can be found in my description, Thanks for watching xxx
I’ve given my youngest son an archive shampoo and omg I’m smelling his hair going ahhhhh at it the whole time I’m reading him his nighttime story every night 😂 it’s gorgeous!
The satin hair wrap you get off TikTok in pack of 3 for about £5 have ties to stop it falling off in the middle of the night and fit better and they are much better than the ones like shower caps? X
I’ve lost 95% of my hair over the last few years thanks to hashimotos and Addisons and menopause. Watching your experiments with interest and moving house in 3 weeks time 😬😱😁 6 HOURS away from where we are now and back to where I love and have family and hoping I’ll be less stressed and happy and hair will be better for that too 🤞
Thanks so much for sharing. Would love to hear more as your journey continues. I’m 37 and was diagnosed with androgenetic alpoecia by trichologist 4 years ago. From her I get prescription scalp drops, which contain minoxidil, caffeine, and also female hormones (oestrogen & progesterone). The hormones help counteract the testosterone. More effective than just regaine, but does need prescription from trichologist. £80 a bottle 😬 but I think it’s probably the most powerful treatment out there.
Hi Claire great video and so helpful, im not sure I've got the same condition as you but my hair starter falling out about a year ago and being fine haired anyway i ended up practically bald down the sides and temples, put mine down to weight loss and menopause, i used the percy and reed hair serum for hair growth, used 2 bottles i bought on qvcuk and it worked 😂took the second bottle to really notice fluffy bit's everywhere, it really worked for me, didn't make my hair greasy and smells nice and compared to a lot of stuff it's quite cheap...highly recommend xx
I didn't know about leaving my hair to dry naturally! I thought I was doing good for my hair, but will definitely get the blow-dryer through it now. Following along on your hair journey as I'm noticing changes in my hair and I have a history of female hair-loss in my family.
Hi hun yeah I was shocked too ! But it makes sense especially if you have or at risk of having androgenic alopecia. When I went to the trichologist recently she used a tool to look closely at my hair follicles and said ooh you have a sebum build up due to excess androgens at the root and asked when did I last wash my hair… I washed it 2hrs before seeing her 😩 I’ve been washing my hair then drying my roots and leaving the mid lengths/ends to dry naturally sometimes too. I’ll do a video of all the things I’m doing soon 😊xx
I’m removing my tape in extensions this week so I’ll do a video of what my hair looks like up close so we can see where I’m starting from and I’ll show everything I’m taking/using to try and help 😊xx
My hair got much thinner during menopause. I have been using a Hairmax for over a year and I can see a big difference. Anyone going through this might want to check out Angie at Hot and Flashy. She's done several videos about her menopausal hair loss and what she done about it. It was her videos that encouraged me to buy a Hairmax. Thanks for the tip about Regaine.
Please try hairgain hair gummies. I have had hair loss for 20 years and we got it in a 2024 advent calendar. I took one a day instead of 2 and when they ran out i noticed hair everywhere again. They are expensive but at $33 they last 2 months (at 1 a day) it's not too bad. I found some cheaper on ebay. I can definitely tell my hair is thicker too! I have tried other hair vitamins and nothing works so good. I will take these for life if possible 😂 but please please try them if you haven't ❤ i don't use other products either. Just a daily vitamin and that. My hair is normally very thick so with half of it falling out doesn't matter (except the scalp pain) but vacuuming hair every day no longer exists. Good luck on your healing journey. You are beautiful no matter what ❤
Aw thank you lovely ❤ that’s so good to hear that these gummies work for you - they have great ingredients to help promote growth etc. unfortunately for me my hair loss is due to excess androgens and not nutrient deficiency which these gummies are great for but saying that, I do take zinc, biotin etc in supplement form as well to make sure my nutrients are all ok but maybe taking gummies would be easier to take 😊 xx
Since my gastric sleeve I've been having issues with hair loss/breakage. I'm looking forward to your reviews of different products. Hoping I can try some things too that might help
I hope your weight loss journey is going well 😊 hairloss due to weighloss/shock to the system is generally temporary from what I’ve read (I’m on mounjaro so was worried incase I’d have hair issues too) it’s called telogen effluvium and usually caused by nutrient deficiencies so taking supplements like biotin, vit d, Zinc with copper can help 😊xx
I suffer with alopecia, I use the pure hair shampoo and conditioner from waitrose. I can't use other hair products but only hair heat protection. I take vitamins and I do yoga to calm my anxiety.
This is interesting. I lost a lot of my hair following septic shock and major surgery. It matted after my weeks in intensive care. So I had to have what was left cut off which was so distressing because I always had a lot of hair. I used Grow Gorgeous serum every night for 6 months and my hair grew back even thicker. I do have greys but I'm allergic to the PPD in hair dyes so the Colour Wow product could be great for me. I did have PCOS too but not to the extent you do. I'm out of the menopause now anyway but I still use the serum from time to time to help my hair keep full. I'll be watching this series and I hope you get some good results x
I’m so sorry to hear about your hair loss 😢 but glad you were able to grow it back ok and yes the Grow Gorgeous serum is a popular one! I have some here but trying to work out when I can use it alongside the minoxidil etc. thank you xx
Goodmorning hun. I'm really sorry your going through hair loss. I've been watching for years but I don't comment often. But I wanted to say you are so strong to post this.❤❤❤ 5:45
Will be interested to see what happens. I have androgenetic alopecia too but my scalp is clearly visible with what hair is left is thin and straggly. I have been wearing wigs now for tHe past year due to this and no success with minoxidil
I’m sorry to hear that minoxidil didn’t work for you 😢 I read yesterday that 30% can’t convert minoxidil to its active form and won’t work for people… it sounds like you are one of the 30%. I have a suspicion that it might be the sane for me as I have conversion issues in other health areas i.e I don’t convert thyroid hormones into the active form to get rid of symptoms so I take a different medication. I also don’t convert b12 into its active form so take it through injections… so just my luck I don’t convert minoxidil but I’ll soon know. One sign is that if I don’t go through a shedding stage it’s clear it won’t work for me. My hair is starting to shed but not loads and it could be due to going up in dose of Spironolactone so I’m not sure yet. Have you tried Spironolactone or Finasteride from your doctor? I’m too scared to try Finasteride. There’s also natural DHT blockers like saw palmetto that might help too xx
I've been using Regaine for women. Extra strength. Only need to use it once a day. It's been a miracle. The twice a day one is half the strength. Interestingly my regrowth is dark and I'm otherwise very grey! LOL.
That’s the one I’m using now which is coming to the end. It’s the 5% one but I use it just at night unless I’m not filming or leaving the house then I’ll apply in the morning too. Ooh I’ve heard that hair can grow back darker… I would absolutely love that 😂 I have a lot of grey… xx
Yes I use it just at night too. I love my grey hair because I tell myself I rock the ice queen look, however, any colour hair is preferable to a pink scalp! I have so much hair on top now but the lengths are still wispy. LOL. It did take a good couple of months before it really kicked in. Thanks for tip about blow drying your hair, by the way, I always thought it was better to just air dry! XXX Good luck on your hair journey my lovely.
Ooh I can’t remember 😂 if you type in my name and hypothyroidism it will come up but I have a feeling I didn’t but was meaning to… I talk about it in a few of my health chat videos (in my playlist) but I don’t think I’ve gone into detail about it xx

I only use instagram every couple of months as I just don’t get it 😂 love TH-cam though

I am going through this too. I would love to see a series on this! It’s good to know I’m not alone. I’m based across the pond in NY.

Didn't you do a video a good year or so ago about hypothyroidism? I couldn't find it but I remember watching it.
