      @Jacob Wheat I have a buddy who had over 100 combos, his wife made him get rid of all but 50. He doesn't have a combo under $200 dollars anymore. Idk how he affords all of it. I barely want to spend 50 bucks on fishing line every year.

    Not sure if I’ve commented this before Matt but applaud the fact you stress that your pics for this time of year are personal opinion. Not everyone thinks a swimbait crushes this time of year. Just all comes back to what you’re familiar with.

    Great video Matt! Speaking of going super in-depth about square bills, there are a couple of subjects that would be worth similar treatment. An updated discussion on everything to do with line would be awesome. From specific line selection to leader lengths, knots, line treatments, filling on reels, etc. Another would be a dedicated video on various bait modifications. Thanks for continuing to put out such valuable content.

    Instead of going back & forth between chatter bait & spinner bait, I use this lure that FishHead makes called the Primal Vibe its a combination of both an underspin spinner bait & chatter bait all in ONE LURE!! Put on a matching color Keitech swing fat impact 4-5inch and it catches fish like crazy! Especially 2-3lbers and up to MONSTERS, you won’t catch dinks!!! I caught my biggest bass in my life on one(9.5lbs)!!!!

    Watch the video this morning like I do any morning I see a new tacticalbassin video. And yep, you mentioned the Rocco and the Nichols pulsator. Well I busted out my Rocco and caught one like my third cast. That thing just catches fish. I caught two bass and one big ass drum today but Sunday I caught a crappie a sandbass a black bass all on the Rocco. Pulsator was doing work today. Caught a 3.5 and 2.4 had one come off after it went airborne and through it. Still had a blast and thanks for getting me excited this morning to go fishing. At lunch I loaded the kayak and grabbed my fishing gear and told the wife. I'll see you at dark

    For me in Massachusetts, Jerkbaits, light jigs, Glidebaits, Spinnerbait, Chatterbait.Most of the ice is off. Okay we're doing seven, lipless, and tactical 210. Yes, they will smash a giant Wakebait right after ice out, bonus bait is the Burrito Gill. I prefer a lighter jig this time of year.

    • @midwestfischerman
      @midwestfischerman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Matt and Tim advise worrying less about specific water temps, but pay closer attention to temperature TRENDS. I 100% AGREE! I'm a bit south of you. This Friday should be warmer air for us, with warmer RAIN. That will certainly BOOST water temps.👏🏻
      I'd say try this Friday or Sunday. Check your weather. Those should be warmer days for us.
      I fish southwest of Chicago on small water bodies. I already caught largemouth on Feb. 27th and March 6th; they were small bass, but I'm on the board.🎣
      Lake Michigan, of course, is a different story because such huge water bodies warm much slower. Still, shallower harbors are about to go off, too.🙌🏻👍🏻
