Bucharest looks like a great city! I wouldn't have thought to visit but after watching your video, it's on my list. I can't wait to see your next stop in Romania.
its tranzit city .people come for bussines and schools and he go back , is not a turistic spot like Brasov ,Oradea, Sibiu ,Delta Dunarii Suceava...

Lassam 333 you are wrong. Romania is a stable country with one of the lowest crime rate in the world. The governments , are coming and going like everywhere else and generally speaking they are not liked anywhere so no worries😊
Yes, throughout our travels in Romania we felt very safe. I agree, it's very rare to find a solid government that does what is best for the people instead of what is good for their pockets. I don't know much about the Romanian government, other than the surface stuff I read online. But here in Greece, things are a mess, they always have been, unfortunately..

Christianity is responsible for many wars and deaths throughout history, keep your religion out of this. Besides, most Romanians are religious in name only.

Visit Oradea the most beautiful city in România
Beautiful and informed video! That was zacusca, not eggplant dip though. 😅 There is also "salata de vinete", which is eggplant dip, but you didn't have that. That one is only made with smoked eggplant and onions and sunflower oil or mayo, it may have salt and a bit of lemon juice according to taste, no tomatoes and bell peppers and should look sort of mustard'y colored, a bit darker.

Haha I was like “can I really not feel it, isn’t it supposed to be 60 proof”. Romania is such a cool place to visit, especially the other regions further north. Very cool place, just got caught a bit off guard by hot it was for the last week of September 😅

Haha no after looking on their website, I think we ended up with the normal alcohol content for brandy. That’s so exciting!! If the weather next year is the same as it is now, you’re going to be very pleased being in Kefalonia in September. 🥰 unfortunately (because of climate change) it is now November and it’s still warm enough to lay out at the beach and go for a swim 😅
@MariaOliviaTravel sadly but happily take the sunshine when you can, the dark nights are drawing in and the weather will become very changeable. I don't really feel the cold I'm happy to walk around in -11 weather in just jeans and a sweater I blame my Canadian childhood and now my uk adulthood, they're set me a strong resistance haha

Greetings ladies! Well Romania got independence in 1878, but the three principalities were mostly autonomous throughout history. The Arch of Triumph was built in 1922, after WW1 As for symbolistic in Orthodoxy, making the cross sign by uniting 3 fingers represents the union of the father, the son and the holly spirit. In Romania is a strong tradition to make the cross sign anywhere we see a cross or a church. Then the original Palinca or Tsuica in Transylvania is at around 60 degrees. Cheers

May I ask if there is any time/financial restraints pertaining to your travel adventures?
Actually a bit of both (hence the inconsistency of posting). We both work as freelancers in order to finance our travels/life. Freelancing come with the flexible hours we need but in order to make enough money we both work full time (non-TH-cam stuff). Plus, traveling, filming, and editing the videos, there isn’t enough time 😅 unless we don’t sleep. I’m not going to lie, living like this is very difficult and it takes a toll on us. However, we really love filming, traveling, learning new things (cultures, history, food etc.) and it makes it all worth it. We hope one day we can focus on TH-cam full time 😊 thanks for asking, I’m curious what made you ask though? Do we look like we’re struggling? 😂😂

It’s a bit complicated haha 😝 Olivia born and raised in America, by an English mom, and American dad. I was born and partly raised in the US, partly raised in Greece. Both my parents are Greek. Where are you from? 😊🥰

Bucharest (and of course the rest of Romania) seems like a very interesting place to visit with a rich history.
Unfortunately Romania doesn't have a stable government for quite a while and corruption is still a big issue.
Very cool place indeed. We wish we had a bit more time in Bucharest than just 8 hours, there’s so much history to explore.
We have elections next year and this government most likely will go home, rapid economic growth is not enough without eradicating corruption

Welcome ladies! 😊 And enjoy your trip . As a side info , i'm in love with Greece . And with Greece history , maybe top 3 , and Greece being on 1 or 2 . I'm still learning 😂😊. And another side info , Romania has a BETTER food based on meat , we are low on vegetarians , and vegans. I hope you will try more food based on meat , or cheesse , or milk , or plants and a few based on vegs 😂😢😊.
Thank you 🥰 oooh that’s great! Greek history is sooo long, so it will take a while but it’s very interesting. While I was doing research for our trip to Romania, I found mentions of Romania from Ancient Greece. Of course back then they didn’t go by Romanias it was the Dacians, which was so interesting to see the connection with Ancient Greece, as I’m sure you have already read all that. As far as the food, we did have more meat in Brasov and it was great 😋
@@MariaOliviaTravel Yes . I'm still learning . And greek mythology 😁😁. My first book when i was a kid was " Legends of olympus" And from there my interest for Greek mythology , and history started .
you see cigarettes on the menu for a very specific reason , our breakfast is based on Otis Readding song - Cigarettes and Coffee !
