Gary was a good friend of my brother. I knew him as a kid but I moved away from Corbin in 2007. My roots are in Barboursville I'm a Grubb from Barboursville but my grandparents lived most their lives in Corbin. Rest in Paradise Gary.
I've only lived in Ky for a year and a half. I drive by that store all the time. When I moved here it wasn't open and I often wondered why, now I know. When it opened, I thought great maybe I'll stop there soon, but before I knew it, it was closed again. It might be a great place if the building was torn down and something else was built there instead. At least the building wouldn't be there to remind all the locals about the tragedy and the family of that poor young man can heal. RIP to him and sympathy to his family.
Definitely a sad story, flint Michigan is only a hour from me and let's just say I have no reason to go there, bad area. I am looking forward to retirement in this area of Corbin ky. 🙏
@@troy7124 yeah I live in the northern part of Saint Clair county on 10 acres near lake Huron and drive to Auburn hills every day for work. After almost 30 years for Chrysler I am ready to give it up and start a new chapter in life, Enjoy your retirement.
I’m also from Michigan 3 hours away from flint sucks that the world is the way it is now mom and pop stores gone its more like the wild Wild West anymore if your not packing your not safe SUCKS…. Love y’all’s videos
A truly sad story indeed! Senseless indeed! But on the bright side, if there is one, remembering the days of the roadside truck stops brings back many memories. A time when people were much more friendly. Breaks my heart to see our country today! Thanks and keep the videos coming.
So sorry to hear about this. There's just no sense in someone losing their life when trying to be a hero. Medlin is still a HERO in my book as well as others in the community. The gun violence has got to stop and the people that have guns for protection are the ones who suffer. God bless him and his family especially his son. Cheers from Laurel, Delaware USA.
Senselessness usually over drugs a young man who murdered him gets to live out his life in prison hopefully at the very least he might think about what he did❤love your channel have a friend lives in Versailles a beautiful state!
That place will either have to sit empty for a really long time, or be remodeled entirely to where it's unrecognizable. Everyone local knows its history, and won't want to start a business there. I wonder if the family of the victim lives nearby? How often do they have to pass by that location? Not a pleasant situation....
He's from barbourville so I'm assuming he probably has at least some family there and if you live in barbourville you definitely have to go to Corbin pretty often so yes they would pass this every time. You know when something like this happens you think, at least I do, that if a young man had the right influences in his life he would have never took another human being's life and threw his own life away in the process.
We had a fast food place where a love triangle ended up in one being shot inside the door of the restaurant. Although it had nothing to do with the business people had a stigma about eating where someone had been gunned down. Building ended up being torn down and now a bank sits there.
Feelings towards the SUPPOSED suppressed American sub sub-peopls is NOT worse in the south or east or west or north or on the moon...it simply exits everywhere and wherever they are..... you can't know about something if you dont experience it..umless the children who "LEARN" it on tv
Hi Ignited. Im sorry I can’t like this video. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain that family is feeling for the loss of their loved one. I don’t understand what can click in a person’s mind to kill another person. So so very sad. Thank you for sharing this with us. God bless you my friend and to Mrs Coyote too.
You can't help but think of a young man had the right influences in his life he would never take another human being's life and throw his own life away in the process.
I worked 3rd shift at a convenient store after I got out of high school. I went into the military & when I got discharged. When I came back home, found out that 2 guys tried to rob the store I had worked at on 3rd shift & shot the clerk who died. The suspect was suppose to be on "house arrest" wearing an ankle monitor. The other suspect's family alerted the local police on details of the attempted robbery that resulted into a person losing their life. This was before social media, cellphones, internet. We need to get back to actually talking to people, our neighbors, friends, & stop having our faces stuck on a computer or cellphone.
Was he just going in there trying to rob the store? Remember this on the news and stuff but I can't remember all the details I knew he was from Michigan or you'd come back from Michigan or something like that
As I remember, two young white boys from New York went on trial for this murder. They had just came through and bought some food and a slushy. They were pulled over just outside of town and the driver thought he was being pulled over for a stolen can of tuna and accidentally made a statement that sounded like a confession for the murder. Luckily his cousin in New York was an attorney and came down and represented the two youths. Near the end of the trial the real murderer was found.
In this case there was no mistaking who it was as he was on security camera and had eyewitness statements given to the police that very night and he threw a bottle of minute maid fruit Punch tea down by the door with his fingerprints on it as he left.

He should have gotten life without parole.

Nice building. Sorry for the loss. Very untimely and very unnecessary ❤

I think I saw that store

I love you video. Have you ever been to Tennessee?
That's terrible.

- hopefully justice will find him in prison.
