My Filipina wife is from Tagbilaran City. We love watching your channel because of your love for Bohol. But always enjoy seeing the rest of the Philippines through your eyes.
I appreciate how your vlogs showcase your willingness to engage with local communities, support small businesses, and engage in casual conversations. It would be refreshing to see more bloggers follow your example rather than focusing solely on partying and excessive consumption of alcohol.
After watching your videos for a long time now, I have concluded that while you enjoy touring the Philippines, you are happiest when you are away from the big cities, out in the Provinces where the living is slower are more laid back. I hope you realize how fortunate you are to be living the life you live as many of us can only dream.
Always love your Channel. Your love for the people is organic and when you are giving it seems Geniune. Don't change... Filipinos have a habit of giving back more than you give them.... may not be monetary but it's kindness
Glad to see another video Jonathan. I will be back over there the 23rd of this month for a couple of months exploring. Keep up inspiring people like me to travel.
Glad ur back ..happy new year!!! FYI: U might interested posting sinulog activities n cebu city, d grand parade will be on d 3rd sunday of january, but there are nightly activities starting d 9th of january
I came home, hubby already started watching this. He has to restart the video. We laughed so hard when you said you should have taken the taxi 😂 Be safe and hope you've had so much fun 😊
Great video - looks like a nice place to enjoy, clean, nice folks to deal with, and the quietness which I love.. I moved out into the country many years ago.. I love the peace and quiet..
My favorite scuba resort can't wait to go back. Great food and very clean resort. We travel from Calbayog City and stay 1 week a year. Enjoy the breakfast. Great video.
Love your videos Jonathan. I think you are often as kind as the Filipinos you encounter. I know right, the driving is challenging but amazing how well it moves and people are never angry ( first hand experience) Peace brother
Just gor back late dec from ph.Coincidence,I am eating a 180g bar of cadbury's milk chocolate right now whilst watching this video. That baykubo/hut looks great. Am returning yet again to philippines probably may or june from uk to see my family and may visit dumaguete as we have been to iloilo last year and cebu dec 2023 from our house in san mateo rizal. Boracay is on the next list after bohol too.
Just visit also Biliran Island( Leyte) and Dinagat Island ( Surigao) it's really amazing the beaches and place surrounded with mountains not crowded I'm sure you really liked it.
Wow sir, nice to show me the city of Dumaguete . I think there are no homeless or squatter areas there just unlike in Manila, you can see many of these homeless and squatters.
You should check Apo Island if your interested in scuba diving, considered on top of the the most beautiful dive spot in the world. Also the island has white sand there so it's completely different vibe there compared to the city
Oh, there is a good balance between nature and civilization in Dauin, I was there for 1.5 months. There is a magnificent underwater world just near the beach! But there are also crazy fishes that often attack swimmers (big "trigger fish").
Nice to see you again friend Vlogger Thank you for the video 👊hope i can visit here again one day since been along time since i was here too young Watching 5,2025👍🥰🐕😺😘👊💯💚🇵🇭
I think you can't live California a bit chaotic and prefer rural quite serene place where therea lot of waterfalls and beaches. The good thing I love Asia is there's a lot of Waterfalls where you can enjoy the fresh warm water
NEXT stop: BACOLOD --- Gio in the Philippines is raving about the loveliness of BACOLOD - He is bringing up some great points. You should consider stopping by Bacolod to see what you think.
LOL, you passed my house. I'd invite you in, I'm on the left past the laundromat in the video. I did stop by and try the mexican place in your previous video. Great place
Rabies is endemic in the Philippines and stray dogs and cats are the most frequent culprits. Got bit by a cat last year and underwent the rabies shots program. Always lots of people at the clinics getting shots so it is very common. Not fun, so be careful interacting with the stray cats and dogs.
Its better to invest on a good helmet jonathan since you always ride the motorcycle, like what the old saying, better be safe than sorry, enjoy and take care!
Nice to see your vlog again. It’s nice that the dollar goes along way in pinas. But as a balikbayan, I can’t imagine in some areas of the Philippines that traffic is a big part of everyday lives of the Filipinos and it’s getting worse.
LOL, i'm still at the beginning but I 100% agree Jonathan. The driving in the provincial cities is whoa... i don't think i'd survive. My niece can drive there no problem but i'm so used to driving in California now.
$105 a night? That is expensive for the Philippines, but it's very nice. Did that include breakfast? All we get in the U.S. for $105 a night is a bed and bathroom.. Heck, a bag of potato chips is $6.00, about 348 PHP I guess....ridiculous right? You made the right move Jonathan! Thanks for the tour!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL That makes sense. I won't be there for another 1.5 years but have been looking at Dumaguete forna landing spot. In fairness, I'm more than twice your age our goals may not align..but I wish you happiness and success!
That helmet is technically illegal but in the Province they do not care. In manila you get a fine of P2000 I believe for sub standard helmet with is more than not having a helmet which is P1500. lol - please correct me if wrong.
Glad I could help you begin the journey of questioning the meaning of our existence! That was exactly the reason for mentioning the fire extinguisher. Thanks for watching, and good luck with the existential crisis!
Many of these Kubos are hot with just fans and outside detached toilets you share. There is vast competition with resorts. Higher quality hotels are always superior. Especially with extreme heat and humidity of Dumaguete and the other provinces.
Hi Jonathan, I hope you do a colab interview with Filipina Pea. She's the most popular TH-cam vloggers especially for foreigners. I know you will get along. She has a very successful channel like you. Her vlogs is more about the Philippines and dating. If you want to marry a Filipina you should check her channel for tips and information.
If your looking for a real Filipino experience with an Aussie tour guide. My wife and i own Grandview Cottages Resort, Si-it, Siaton, Negros Oriental. Brian and Lea Cheers mate
Kinda surprised you haven't bought your own motorcycle helmet yet. I don't even own my own motorcycle but I have my own helmet. I don't like wearing stuff already worn by random people before me.
I was staying down the beach 2 years ago. My GF and I went there for lunch but we were told at the gate that we needed to pay a consumable fee to enter. If they are concerned about how much money I have before I can even see a menu, I have no need to spend my money on their BS. We left and ate at another place.

Its nice of you to help those sellers by buying from each of them. and they also didnt take advantage of your kindness.
You stopping on the motorway to honk at some brawling dogs are just things that make me love this channel so much xD

Great content keep it up 😂😂❤❤
Thank you! Glad you like it!
You're the man Jonathan.. that's why Filipinos love you sir 😊
Yeah the dude seems like a real genuine person. Other foreigners here put on an act for the videos.. Not all.. but some/most.
That resort is nice! What amazed me is people on motorbike with umbrella!! Unbelievable😅

My naivete in '19, thought I could get a city map and find my way around. Google maps in the PH can, at times, be an adventure.

I had a friend who had to do that as well. I hear the shots are quite painful. Good you survived though!
Sehr schön danke dir fürs teilen 👍
Nice resort but at a third of the price they'd have ten times as many guests.
The most I have ever paid for a massage was 700.00 pesos. Usually 300.00 pesos for hour and a half or 600.00 pesos for two hours.
you got me with the "brawl" in the street that you broke up. I want to know what those dogs said after what you did. hehe

hey man!
I thought you'd never leave those lady vendors.
I stayed longer than anticipated. It was meant to be a quick peanut stop.
Hey 👋 Jonathan.

🙏
I'm always amazed how few people there are at the majority of Filipino resorts. Doesn't seem like the best business decision.
I agree from the owner's standpoint, but as a guest it's nice having the place almost to myself!

There is vast competition with resorts. Higher quality hotels are always superior.

Just so you know, if you get stopped by LTO that helmet is not legal.
what are the legal requirements?
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL An approved motorcycle helmet.
There should be an ICC sticker, or DOT. It can be found at the back of the helmet.
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL i apprehended before by l.t.o in manila wearing a substandard helmet, issued me a ticket i redeemed it for 2k 😭
