Really like your content EveryMan! My go to pre styler is Toni & Guy sea salt texturising spray (the small bottle is like £2). To finish, I have been using Gatsby Moving Rubber Grunge Mat.. definitely worth a try if you are looking for a Matt finish and a great hold!
Grease Monkey there's a lot of products that: 1. Claim they do something e.g. Strong hold, but falls down after 1 hour. 2. They are not that transparent on what evey product does, look at v05 they have like 100 different type of hair cream, gel etc. Just some points. Personally I can't find a good product to use in UK supermarkets such as Saintsbury's and boots.
Budget? I would go with Osis +4 Flex Wax. It has amazing hold, a great natural finish( prefer matte finishes, but ok), and wash out easily at the end of the day. Around 7 dollars( a bit expensive for budget, but worth it).
£5 for that? In bargain buys you can pick up a 500ML bottle of tresemme high hold for £3 I have very thick hair and that is the only product that works for me. It literally freezes your hair in place and you only have to use a little bit
Yeah, you might be getting a product for cheap which does its job but the cheap ingredients means that in the long run, you're essentially damaging your hair. I noticed this whilst using products such as VO5 and Toni and Guy. After upgrading to a much higher quality product with natural ingredients, I noticed the goodness it had to my hair. It's not worth buying cheap products with harmful contents just to style your hair.

Great video Ben! I will gjve some of these products a try :)
I bought the superfish putty, but why does it say on the description of the product not to use it on roots and avoid those areas?
