Awesome having the Tohoku resorts all in one mega video - good stuff! I'll be doing Zao, Appi & Aomori Springs with the family in Jan. Would love to get across to Hakkoda for a day trip after watching your footage.
Sounds like a great plan. Really incredible resorts and nice to be away from the Niseko and Hakuba crowds. Yeh I would love to give Hakkoda another try as you see in our video the weather wasn’t in our favour.
I recommend Geto Kogen also if you get the chance
Looks like a great time. When was this all filmed? I am heading to Tohoku (and Japan for the first time) in 2 weeks. Shimokura, Appi, Geto, Okunakayama and Tazawako. Wish we could get some shots like the ones you got of your buddies. Some were fit for frames for sure.

How do you guys clean yourselves? And what's the laundry situation?
Great question and a great idea for a video upload to answer some of these questions 🤔
Well Japan is surrounded by onsens (hot baths) and can find them nearly everywhere especially close to ski resorts. As for laundry this is also very simple as they have many coin laundries in Japan and some of them are so good I often hang out there to use wifi and catch up on customer photo edits
@@JapanSnowPhotographer I figured it'd be the onsens but just wasn't sure. But def a good video idea or even a quick timelapse of laundry/rest day :)
yeh unfortunately onsen is actually another challenge for me due to tattoos so I created a custom map of where can go.
Yeh I have one video where I went to the laundry and done some talking. One of the Niseko episodes in the series. But yeh definitely good to get some more videos uploaded sharing information as haven’t upsides anything for ages. Not being active is pretty bad for the algorithm unfortunately
Is it common to be delayed in travel due to the high amount of snowfall or is it only through big storms? I really want to hire a rv and travel through Hokkaido in the middle of February
Yeh if you hire in Hokkaido should be ok as they built for them conditions for sure. Super fun place to explore with an RV

@@teighandoughty1573 😆 cheers 🤙 didn’t take too much convincing. I mean an RV in the snow is like a palace. You see the van I live in all winter 😮 I never have any problems and love every minute of vanlife in the snow except…….. not being able to go all onsens so it’s a battle of where I can wash 😆
