@@karinaberry146 I was really happy when I saw the song, as I've listened to it before, and I actually started crying listening to the song during the exam. 😂 I also performed Zero Gravity for my Music 1 HSC performance exam, and the markers nearly started crying while smiling.
@@bianca-2555 I thinks that's when I actually started crying, while trying to hold it back before hand. I got shivers down my back while I was sitting at the front of the room at that bit too.
BTW - its so good to see this happening - It confirms what I suspected when I saw you with Ben Folds - that there is a really deep artist here.. Bravo!
Does anyone know how I might be able to purchase the sheet music (piano + vocals) for this online + print for myself / order a book etc. ? So beautiful and powerful and poignant.
Ewa Kiełpińska Now the land is bare and brown And the wind blows empty cross the plains I have walked these plains for the whole memory of my soul And the soul of my mothers And the soul of my father's father We have been the life of these plains Ghosts on these plains The wind once full The grass once green There were plants in our hands That time seems so long ago Now Where is the rich dark earth, brown and moist? Where is the smell of rain, Dripping from gum trees? Everything familiar is gone Everything I counted on I can't run, I can't swim away From this land Where is the rich dark earth, brown and moist? Where is the smell of rain, dripping from gum trees? Where are the billabongs , the long legged birds? Where are the rivers? They used to flow clear, Now they're eaten by mud Who will save us? From the rabbits?
The HSC supervisors looked at me weird during reading time as I nearly jumped from my seat in excitement as I saw her name next to the song. I did however do a little jump, kick my legs and smiled a lot though. My friends were saying before the exam that "I bet you something like Caitlin's song Zero Gravity will be played," and it's funny that they were practically right. I sung the song Zero Gravity for my HSC Performance exam, and have listened to a lot of her other songs.

Beautiful! Is there a way to read the story behind the show? I'm in the states and of course won't be able to attend a performance down under ;-(
+Dave Stroop You may like to read the book "The Rabbits" by John Marsden and Shaun Tan. It is a very wonderful experience!
Thanks Hannah!!
I watched this in class and it’s very deep
anyone have lyrics?
Ewa Kiełpińska
Now the land is bare and brown
And the wind blows empty cross the plains
I have walked these plains for the whole memory of my soul
And the soul of my mothers
And the soul of my father's father
We have been the life of these plains
Ghosts on these plains
The wind once full
The grass once green
There were plants in our hands
That time seems so long ago
Now
Where is the rich dark earth, brown and moist?
Where is the smell of rain,
Dripping from gum trees?
Everything familiar is gone
Everything I counted on
I can't run, I can't swim away
From this land
Where is the rich dark earth, brown and moist?
Where is the smell of rain, dripping from gum trees?
Where are the billabongs , the long legged birds?
Where are the rivers?
They used to flow clear,
Now they're eaten by mud
Who will save us? From the rabbits?
