    That “weird” looking rear suspension is what sold me on my ‘18 xcr. Still love it. Had the shocks done and it is alarming how good that sled goes through the rough tug hill moguls. The track strap shortening is necessary. Like you guys I did everything to not shorten it but when I did it felt like the typical negatives weren’t as prominent as the increase in steering

      The sleds work so so so we’ll when they are set up right. I absolutely loved mine when I got It where I wanted!

    I've got a '16 Pro-S 600 Switchback. Already running the 100 lb springs up front, 130 lb spring on the RTS & stock spring on the FTS. I added a Trac-Link adjustable front limiter strap and have worked with shortening the strap length. Shocks are stock valving & have been refreshed a few times. My only complaint is the exact issue shown here with the "tippyness". How do I get ahold of Bruce to get my shocks to him? Looks like this may be the cure I've been looking for. Thanks for the video!!

      Thanks for following along. I will post a link at the end of this comment that is a link to the shock service page pf Southsides website. There is a form you need to fill out to send in with your shocks. The tippyness of because of the needles in the front shocks. he can fix all of that for you. any questions let me know!

    I love my 19` XCR 850 - rips great and needs the shocks gone through. I've got a 24' XCR 850 on order so that sled is going to my wife with my 7 year old son, I'll probably have to get a bigger rear spring on there to hold the extra weight...

    Just got done going thru my Buds GF's Anniversary Rush 600. All new suspension bearings etc. (Summer service etc.) I own a '16 600 SB. Completely rebuilt suspension, shocks by Monster 800mi. ago. This year I'm trying a Hygear dual FT spring and a 150# on the rear. The 130# wasn't enough. (I weighed my rack and gear and came up with another 45lbs. to add to my 230-235.) Should be interesting. My question is this: Which hole would you start out at with the limiter strap? When I had the skid out this summer it was in the 2nd hole. (OEM?) When I installed the FTS, (with 0 preload) I needed to crank down my Trac-Linc limiter strap just to get the bolt back in the 1st hole of the OEM strap. If I crank it down to get to hole 2, I'm going to lose shock travel. I just want a recommendation on where to start with the strap. I don't want a wheelie machine, and I want it to turn. PS I still have the 80# IFS springs and I think they're good.

      in the future i would give Bruce a shot to do your shocks. We really have set ups for these sleds down and ready to go. with the Trac Link LImiter strap i am unsure where to tell you to go because that changes the length of the strap. you would have ti put OEM on there in it original holes (service manual shoukd show you which was OEM) and then we recomend going a half a hole distance to start. Ive done that video on my channel 2 times now so youll have ti go back and watch them!

      I will consider having Bruce do my shocks after next season. It seems he is a man with copious amounts of Polaris experience and knows what he talks about. The Pro-S, unlike the XCR, only has a limiter strap on the left side. I put my TrackLink strap on the right side. When I installed the FTS this summer, I used the TrackLink to crank down the spring just enough to get the OEM strap back in the first hole at the top. When I removed the strap before, it was in the 2nd hole. I would need to compress the shock further to get it into the 2nd hole further reducing suspension travel. If that's the OEM hole, so be it, especially if Bruce ends up turning it down from there. The TrackLink makes this a much easier job than drilling holes! I'll look in my shop manual download to see if it shows what hole is OEM. I just want a base to start from this winter so I don't spend all winter fighting/adjusting the handling like I did last winter!@@JESSEJAMES322

      PS: When I said suspension rebuilt, only the shocks were done by Monster after I purchased the sled used w/3k on it April of '22. I changed the OEM 120# rear spring to a 130# but it wasn't enough. I went thru the rest of it myself, new bearings (Japan), Northstar A-arm bushings, solid inner wheels for the studs I installed, etc. This year I cleaned the powervalves, installed a tether, did the skid bushings, and more.

    • @JESSEJAMES322
      @JESSEJAMES322  ปีที่แล้ว

      problem with these is they are so soft we recommend everything all the way stiff but when you do that then they get rigid. we really recommend having these shocks revalved and some spring changes then we can finee tune the set up but with stock components (especially with some miles) its very hard to get them set up

    Great video. I bought a 16 Rush last winter and struggled to get the suspension right. This summer i had Bruce rebuild my shocks and redo the valving and springs. Anxious to get it out on the snow this winter.
    Need some advice on putting a rack on back. I like the OEM rack for the Switchback but supposedly it wont fit the Rush. I think? the connection bolts under the seat are different? Will this rack fit on a Rush or how difficult is it to make it fit? Anyone have any experience or advice?

    Have Bruce do a video with the axys assaults. I’m still fighting mine. I need todo the front HD springs but I’ve been told running my FTS on 3-4 is way to soft but when I dial it up it’s so stiff it seems and harsh. Plus I get mad inside ski lift all the time. I have to really hang off to keep it down

    • @JESSEJAMES322
      @JESSEJAMES322  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The axys assault is the same as the Matryx. They already have 100 pound front ski springs. I would send your shocks into him and have them revalved. This way you get more range through the clickers. Inside ski lift can be limited with shortening the limiter strap and cranking the ski springs to max preload

      @@JESSEJAMES322 yea my fronts are already maxed but they still seem soft. Front clickers I run like 6-8 depending on snow. I try to leave the rear where’s its at.
