I have been to 5 SE Asia countries (5 times Malaysia, 4 times Thailand, 3 times Singapore, Philippines twice and Indonesia twice). Vietnam and Brunei are on my bucket list but Malaysia is my favourite SE Asia country and KL is my favourite city.
Apart from Petronas Towers, there is KLCC Park behind it where you can see the fountain shows in the evening, visit Batu Caves, Thien Hou Temple, National Monument, Abdur Samad Building, KLCC Gallery, Merdeka Square, Jamek Mosque, Wilayat Mosque, Perdana Botanical Gardens, KL Tower, Eco Forest (if it is open), Chinatown, Bukit Bitang at night, Istana Negara (King's Palace) and maybe half day trip to Putrajaya. In terms of visiting mosques, best times to visit are 9.00am until 12.00 noon and be respectful regarding clothing just like visiting temples in Thailand.

@@mohdzamrimohamed7030 Malaysia should have had an economy that bettered south Korea, instead of similar to tiny Singapore, however racist Malay politics and religion destroyed that potential.
Wawasan 2020 was supposed to achieve fully developed, first world status just as Singapore already had by 1990 when the project began. Not only did it fail Malaysia ended up further behind in 2020 than when it began 30 years earlier.
On top of that, Malays have even thrown much of their culture away wanting to be like little Saudi clones. Despite being illegal Wahhabism illegal it's slowly been introduced for decades and is putting Malaysia into a dark place it will take generations to recover from.
So much of Malaysia's money has been wasted or stolen by incompetent Malay politicians. Much of it is in Perth. Proton, along with the cement and steel industries, were all expensive failures. When another economic crisis hit Malaysia has neither the money or Mahathir's expertise to get through it. Of course throughout this Malaysia now has to make payments to pay back Chinese debt.
Racism and general ill feeling toward non Muslim is increasing and their freedom of religion attacked. That's why the best and brightest of them are leaving in increasing numbers.

You have to visit Sabah - climbing Mount Kinabalu or visit just the surrounding areas, diving at the islands near Semporna, wildlife like proboscis monkey, orangutan and sun bear at Sandakan, snorkeling at Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park, eat the local food like tuaran mee, ngiu chap mee, bak kut teh, sinalau bakas, etc and of course, fresh seafood!! And don't miss the sunset at Tanjung Aru beach. Best thing to do is to hire a local driver and guide to show you around the whole state of Sabah.

Welcome to Malaysia. Hope you have an awesome time here. Here's a list of food that you should try:
    1. Nasi Lemak (National Dish) - Sold just about everywhere, they may be served in a dish, or better yet, wrapped in banana leaf
    2. Roti Canai with Dhal and/or Curry sauce - You can get it at any Mamak Restaurant.
    3. Char Koay Teow - some of the best char koay teow can be found at hawker stalls/night markets
    4. Curry Laksa
    5. Satay (Chicken/Beef) - Chicken/beef skewers. Again, you can find these at night markets/stalls by the roadside
    6. Chilli Pan Mee
    7. Chicken/Beef Rendang - you can eat it with rice, or if you're lucky enough you can eat it with Lemang (sticky rice soaked with coconut juice and heated up in bamboo sticks)
    8. Apam Balik - local 'pancake' dessert
    9. Cendol - super awesome thirst quenching dessert. p/s: make sure you stir/mix it well before eating it.
    10. Ramly Burger - Ramly is a brand name for the burger patty and you can find roadside burger stalls selling them. Its a definite must try. And do note that each stall may have a unique way of serving them in terms of what kind of salad/toppings/sauce they put on.
    11. Teh Tarik - literally means "Pulled Tea". Usually served hot, but if you request it cold, it would taste similar to the milk tea you had in this episode.

There r many places to explore in KL n around Malaysia. D colonial walk near Dataran Merdeka is one of them. There will be a national day parade in d morning of 31st August at d independence square. There r many malls around KL n d Bukit Bintang area has d most malls in KL. Around d city centre r some hotels n apartments that have beautiful rooftop swimming pools with amazing views of KL skyline, d best views of KL can be seen from d KL Tower. Try d local street food, be sure to taste d Ramly burger, d best street food burger. Explore d open night markets with lots of choices for street food. There r many other cities u guys can explore in Malaysia, two of them r Penang n Melaka. There r many tropical islands in Malaysia, Langkawi, a duty free zone, is one of them, n so is Tioman. Kapas, Redang n Perhentian r few of d beautiful islands on d east coast. Sabah n Sarawak in Borneo r totally another story. My fav channel recently is Sunkissed Bucket List, n their travel in Malaysia, can be your point of reference. Have fun n enjoy what Malaysia has to offer. This video is a great start.

You already blown away by the mall in Malaysia? I'm looking forward to your reaction when you found a freaking theme park in some of the mall🤣🤣 i forget to what shopping mall have it but still looking forward to it, if you feel tired about the hot weather in KL, try going to Genting Highland and Cameron Highland in Pahang, should feel like a New Zealand there🤣🤣, Cameron Highland is what you will expect to have like the biggest tea plantation in Malaysia and there's also strawberry farm, then you can go to it's neighbor Genting Highland, there's two way to go there,by a car or a cable car,i recommend a cable car for the view,up there you will found the biggest hotel in the world which is First World Hotel and of course Malaysia biggest theme park in a freaking up of the mountain, don't forget to bring your sweater if you go there

It's pretty interesting to see the city I live in from the perspective of a tourist!
To me, Kuala Lumpur is all about the fooddddd, there's so many...too many that even being a local I still have so much to explore! Each cuisine/variation of a certain type of food tastes different from one place to another, there are bad ones and good ones that it's a huge entertainment aspect to just find the best ones here in KL. Although I usually just go back to the ones that taste the best! In most cases like you would guess, the ones with many people queueing up for the food are the ones you should go for!
If I had to list down all my favourites it would be overkill, but if I had to recommend one place that I love, it's O & S Restaurant(*non-halal) in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It's not KL, but it's not far from KL so I consider it the same! It's mainly chinese cuisine, and the Char Kuey Teow, Asam Laksa, Popiah, are to DIE FOR. There are so many other delicacies around that area too. For drinks, other than Teh Tarik, I like to drink Cham (a tea+coffee mixture), or Hainan Coffee(some places do it best!).
