In the Polylang translation, the plugin "WP-TH-cam Lyte" is not included with the consequence that German language is shown on English pages. It seems to be that Polylang free version does not support the plugin "WP-TH-cam Lyte". Question: Does the Pro Version of Polylang support the translation? Or is there another way how I can translate the plugin "WP-TH-cam Lyte"?

Hi Lucy, it depends on your theme but footers are typically handled in: Appearance > Widgets There you can make separate widgets for each language using the dropdown at the bottom of each widget

A pre-installation question 1) Do I need to setup Wordpress Multisite first ? 2) I'm using Wordpress 6.3.2, Gutenberg 16.8.1 and Polylang 3.5.1 (all up to date versions as of 23 Oct 23). I have an issue setting up the menus (around 18:30 of the video). I have a much simpler interface to configure the menus and no possibilities that I can see to configure different language menus. What am I missing ? Thanks in advance for your help
Thank you for the feedback. Setting up Polylang with a multisite is very different from a standard WordPress installation. Try looking in Polylang's documentation for help
Good evening, I have created a News page with the layout designer of Elementor. This page shows me the news and depending on the language I choose, it shows me only those of that language, but how can I have different templates for each language. For example in Spanish I want it to put News but in another language I don't want it to put news if not the word in that language, but in the conditions if I don't choose that page to be a post it stops working for the blog, for the header and footer Of the page, I have been able to tell you that it depends on the author to show me one or the other and I have created each translation with a different author but I can't get the news.
Hello thank you for great guide. However when activating all synchronization for custom fields its did not create them in secondary language, still need to type one by one for custom fields such city names. Any ideas ? Thanks
Good, thank you ! Something I couldn't do though: trashing the transated page and start again. The little pencil stayed whatever, and the "+" didn't show. How to start the process of duplicating the page when it has been done once ?

I don't have the option to select all text as it shows the page in the blocks with headings, paragraphs, pictures etc. I'm not sure how I can 'copy' my pages as I'm not able to select all the text (I can only copy per block text)
Hi there, it sounds like you're using a page builder of some kind. You can try downloading the "Classic Editor" plugin, that might make it possible to copy the content

know polylang does not mirror pages "dynamically", but can you do this: the linked translated page is outdated. You want to relink the newer updated source language page with a clone of it*, and then translate again. And then link this in the menu instead of the older translated page. *This is possible when no translated pages are linked yet, but once linked, it seems impossible to relink with another page the the originally linked one?
Hi Ruben, I had the same impression but I found out it's in fact super easy. In the language menu on the page you wish to link to another page you can delete the page name and then simply write the name of the new page to link that instead.

A known bug in Polylang is that it sometimes creates an extra language with a funny looking name. Try checking if there is an extra language added besides the languages you've created. If so, then delete the extra language...
@@WPExplainer not really, but I've found out. You need to have porper setting of direct link structure set in general settings. Just after pretty permalinks appear.
In Appearance > Menus, click on screen options, top right of your screen, to expend the options and check the “Language switcher” checkbox. You should then see a new metabox in the “Add menu items” list which allows you to add a language switcher the same way you add other menu items
Hi Randy, it's difficult to say what the issue might be, however you could try going to your permalinks settings and clicking save. Also oftentimes the .htaccess file is the cause of these types of issues. Another probable cause could be having a redirect plugin installed that's automatically creating redirects. Good luck with your website

For synchronization to work, you need to have already made the categories etc. in all languages

Try going to your trashed pages and delete the page permanently. Hopefully that should do it 👍

It might be because it uses the Gutenberg editor instead of the Classic Editor. Try installing the "Classic Editor" plugin and try once mode 👍

I dont see "pretty permalinks" settings, is it some plugin?
Pretty permalinks is an standard WordPress feature so if you can't see it, you might not have administrator rights

How to have two different direction language , like EN and Ar?
Hi Rasha, under your "Languages" settings you can click "Edit" below the appropriate language name and change "Text direction" to "Right to left"

This plugin causes our site to go into an infinite redirect loop. Can find any option for support anywhere.

As soon as I activate polylang it messes up the menus on my site... Why?
When Polylang is activated it requires you to create a menu for each language. I cover this in the tutorial so just watch till the end 👍
