The record of 29 days without rainfall in south eastern Pennsylvania was set in 1874, you know global warming had a lot to do with that. So they’re going to set a new record at least a new record since recorded history. Who knows what happened before and how many days there was no rain. Every day I read what the low/high temperature was for that day going back in history. You would be stunned to find out that there are only a few days in modern times let’s just say the last 75 years that any records have been set that amount to anything regarding high temperatures. Lots of hot days in the 1890s, 1920s, and certainly the 1930s. Sometimes the people in the news media business should read what the weather was 100 years ago or 150 years ago. Friday, November 22, it was 74° for a high in 1934 and the low was 4°F in 1880. I read this in my local paper and I’ve not been able to figure out where they get their information.

I read it in my local newspaper and I’ve never been able to ascertain the website where they get the information, probably AccuWeather . Friday, November 22 it was 74° in 1934 for a high . The record low was 4°F in 1880. If anyone knows how you can access historic high and low temperatures I’d like to know.
My local newspaper just showed up on my iPad and the record high was 74° for yesterday in 1979 . The record low for the same date was 8° in 1880, not surprising since it was 4°F the day before in 1880.
