SemperFi Brothers, welcome home!!!! Good Job, don't listen to all that negative crap below, this is not the place to argue who's better, it's to respect Americans who put it all on the line. U.S. Marine Cpl 1992-95
You might have had the most casualties but you guys are the bravest marines out there. Good luck and keep up the good work. Have a safe journey home to California
I am a future Marine (Ship July 11th). That being said i am biased towards the Corps. But that doesn't mean that since i am biased i should bash other branches. Without the navy and air force, Marines would be stuck in the states on there asses. Without the Army, we would be out there alone. As Marines you learn very quickly that you cant accomplish nearly as much when you are alone. Respect the fallen and our veterans. Semper fi
actuually man. The Marine Corps is it's own branch now. It's still sometimes shown under the Department of the Navy. but it's indeed its own branch now. My Dad served two tours as a Marine drill instructor, and was a series gunny. He's the one that told me the marines is its own branch now man.
@TheEvilAmerican I hardly ever see, aside from reports from other Marines, stuff about Marines taking all the glory. On the news it's always the 82nd Airbourne,or Stryker Brigade etc etc From my end, I've seen a lot of Marines get shafted as far as "glory" goes.
Ironically, the argument about who deserves the "glory" is never one that Marines wage for themselves. ALL branches of our Armed Forces deserve to be respected for their service and sacrifice, but if you think that they are all equal in terms of their mindset and training, you're sadly mistaken.
Not for the men of 3/5. They don't look at wounded being a casualties. Ask them when they get back. They don't. Even the men that get wounded don't think of themselves that way all they think about it getting back to their brothers at arms or honoring the true casualties.
@MajorLeaguelnfidel It is just this battalion. Overall, Army has more casualties because they have more people and their training isn't as good as USMC.
when the germans were defeated, they surrendered...the japanese never surrendered, they fought to the bitter end. us Marines fought a tougher foe in the pacific compared to the germans...the army will never be better than the Marine Corps period -Marine Sgt.-
Please argue about the U.S. Army vs the U.S Marine Corps somewhere else. My husband is in 3/5 and has been gone for six months and hasn't met his daughter yet so you guys can argue over something as small as this. Really? One, 3/5 has has 175 wounded not killed. Two, Army and Marine Corp can work together and sometimes do. Three, No Branch is better then any other branch. They all do their jobs perfectly. Four, Just go get some lives. These men and women in 3/5 don't nee to see this
@Juranomo I am sorry about all the retarded arguments that people put up in youtube. I am in Army and I respect the hell out of my Marine brothers, and no matter what branch your in, they had the courage to sacrifice themselves for their loved ones.
