- A new style Brother inkjet chip is designed to block third party cartridges by using serial numbers and memory to reject using the same number twice. Apex have engineered a solution to this but resellers need to track customer serial numbers to minimise the potential for chip rejection.
Printers that use LC-432, LC436 ( Australia) , LC402, LC406, ( USA ) LC-422 and LC-426 ( UK ) all keep a memory of the last cartridges used. Tips on how to manage this new anti competitive move and save your customer money.
Eco Advanced have the latest chips to avoid issues and have made it easier to manage and track the chip version used in the printer. By tracking the chips used and having a supplier that has new chips all the time you avoid chip rejection. #advancedconsumable , #ECOAdvanced, #cartridges, #GoldLine, #AdvancedConsumableTechnologies #LC432, #LC436, #LC402, #LC406, #LC422, #LC426,#LC-432, #LC-436, #LC-402, #LC-406, #LC-422, #LC-426, #chiprejection, #brother, #brothercartridge, #brotherrejectcartridge, #brothercartridgereject
this is a great piece of work - thanks, it makes the scam all so clear & so obvious...
Thanks for the feedback. All the OEM updates makes it hard for people to keep track of how things work.
You can get compatibles that work fine with these printers . Make sure you check the compatible uses pigment ink like the original . A lot of compatibles on the internet use cheaper generic DYE based inks instead of PIGMENT ink because they are cheaper. You can get like for like compatibles if you ask the question.
With this type of control, one wonders why. My lc406 cost almost $70 to replace a cartridge. If the not fix soon, i will get new printer that allow refillable tanks.
Hey mate
Banger video. Was just aboutbto buy one of the brother Interval memory printers but after watching your video, phuuuuuk that! Thanks mate
Thanks for the feedback,
Interval memory is the better of the two , the permanent memory is the bad one that leads to less choice and more rejections. Interval is not a huge problem because if a cartridge rejects you can always use it again after installing another cartridge first and then re install the one that was rejected and it will work. HP and Epson are also playing these anticompetitive games with their chips. HP being the most active with updates and trying to stop use of anything other than their own brand
@@globebug legend mate, thanks for the intel
thanks for sharing that knowledge, so if I got a Brother MFC-J4440DW which has the LC-436 cartridges and two sets of refillable cartridges with chipsets that have different serials then because this has interval not permanent memory we can beat them at their own game?
THANKYOU, ITS HARD TO FIND ANY INFORMATION ON THESE PRINTERS I GUESS THEY ARE so new...
Thanks for the feedback, Brother seem to be increasing the complexity of their chips with every new launch making it harder for people to keep up and track/ remember all the changes across different models. If you can track it then you have an advantage over others that don't track it.
@@Jettec They rely on people giving up , so constant changes are the best strategy for them. Cynical M Fers.

How about the LC-401 cartridges - Permanent memory or interval memory?
Hi. I wish I came across your video before I bought cartridge printer from Brother. It's the MCF J2340DW. It uses the LC462XL. May I know if it's the permanent or interval memory chip?
The 462 is the same as our 432 so unfortunately it has Permanent memory that potentially causes more issues.
Hello! What about LC401?
Hi The 401 is just another name for the 402 in a different region.. same cartridge just with different country codes
Thank you for the video.
Could i rotate two interval chip ink cartridges in a brother printer for an indefinite amount of time as long as i had a way to manually fill them both up?
The main thing is depending on the cartridge model used. The chip is the key not the tank itself. on all printers you can not use the same chip code twice in a row and some models ( indicated in the video ) can never have that chip code ever again. eg ,A, B, C, D, E , Always needs a new chip code each time. The other one can alternate eg A, B, A, B, A, B
What about LC404? I have a Brother MFC-J1205W. Does it have a permanent memory or interval memory?
LC 404 is from the North American region and is an interval memory printer. Interval is less problematic because it only remembers the last cartridge chip type , not every chip it has every had. Thanks James

What type of INK can be used with theis series... plain BROTHER pigment refill ink ?
Both of the new series, LC-432 and LC-436 use PIGMENT Based ink. for ALL four cartridges not just the black . Some compatibles will use a dye based ink instead because it is cheaper and easier to match the colour ( develop ) Good quality compatibles will use Pigment ink like the original brand
There got to be a work around it data and some kind of ram on the main pc bord trek it lets the ic think it:s full all the time a one-time fix cut out ever one you to eco advanced lol you think hes not making a buck or two" the gold standard my ass..
