Mahal talaga ang plane ticket pag last minute or emergency. Kaya pag nag paplano kang mag travel anywhere kahit within Canada, you have to plan and book early, para may time ka na makakita nang sale flight. Most Filipinos they booked their flights at least 5 months or earlier to get cheaper flights. Lalo na kung uuwi ka nang Pinas.

I agree. Before the pandemic,I was able to get 500 dollars round trip but now Washington Dc to Cebu for me was $1500, and I booked that 2 months ahead

We are planning to go home by December. We went to see our travel agent here in our area (Gaspe, Quebec) today, and it is costing almost 4K$ for a round trip ticket Montreal-Manila. And we are a family of 3.

Kami nga po 6 months prior (January) sa alis namin naka 110K dalawa kami. Nagcheck ako after a month (Feb) asa 120 na. Sobrang nga po talaga ka mahal dami rin kasi pumupunta siguro

Sobrang mahal naman ng round trip tickets to/from Canada! Rip off. Los Angeles to Manila RT $800-1000 USD lang ngayon. Mas mura sa US dahil mas maraming airlines at pasahero kaya may competition. In capitalism, competition tends to lower prices, tsaka mas mura aircraft fuel sa US.

This September we are bound on a 4day Manila visit and Inchon for 5days -before heading back to California.
That is the beauty of having an Aviation career.
And I don’t get tired of advising Pinoy-Canadian vloggers that when they get a chance…to switch their chosen career to an airline’s. They will thank me no end.

For 7 yrs, i was with the DFA P Faura until we moved to the Film Center.
Not just a Foreign Service Staff Employee but a member-soloist for the choral group of the said govt. agency.
I transitioned from the prestigious Passport Office to a blue collar worker in Chiba, Japan where I became a welder.
I did odds and ends job here in the US, then 5yrs at University of California San Diego Bookstore but to BALIKBAYAN is always an issue. The exorbitant airfares is what I am talking about -so I began looking around, poking around.
The answer? Be a pilot, be an FA or be a Ramp clerk. I interviewed for an FA but happily ended up as a “plane pusher.”
And I tell you, Life is Wonderful…for there is such thing as FREE to roam the globe. YUN.

Don't do it. You will regret it. Mababa ang salaries at mataas ang taxes sa Canada. Mahal mga bilihin at gas sa Canada kesa sa US dahil most of their goods come from US. Canadians move to US for greener pastures.

@@jackbauer562 yup, since 1987. I have a cousin in Vancouver, cost of living and housing are much higher in Canada than US. Canadian dollar is 25% lower than US dollar. I retired at 38 debt-free and own a house and 2 cars outright, I am 54 y/o now. My cousin is 63, still working his butt off. There are more educational and employment opportunities in US than Canada
