If you taking into consideration movie lore, they are dinossaurs shaped cause that was what's animals were like when RedRanger Zordon landed on earth. So a spider like mastodon. Makes you wonder what whatafuck of species was living on the planet
I'm sorry, but that new Megazord just seems like a giant hunk of plastic to me. It looks junkie. I also can't imagine what parent is going to buy every piece for their kid at full retail price. Thanks for the detailed look, Bruno.
Yeah... I'm just not sure what they were thinking here. :-/ I love the little figures and cockpits, but... it's really so, so, SO big. And not really all that fancy, but it is expensive. Seems like it could have been done differently. I do think the T-Rex looks pretty cool though.
Not (yet) too disgruntled about the extra legs on Tricera and Mastodon, but they really should have swapped Sabretooth and Mastodon concerning the transformation / placement of the combined form. Then you'd still have the classic color set-up. The blue and black leg with the yellow abdomen doesn't really give off that that classic Megazord vibe.
Bay ruined the megazord. Period. Apart they were fine but when they combined...ugh. Michal Bay does not know damn thing in how to make a childhood action movie great. Granted, Transformer 1st 2nd and third movie were good in my eyes but the fourth and fifth were a not bad but not too good.
I love how he sounds so disappointed and sarcastic. Thank you for displaying this. The quality is definitely terrible compared to the other zords/megazords, by far.
I find it interesting that the Pterodactyl is virtually useless in the megazord combination. I thought it'd be like the head/helmet so you had to get it to finish the look, but you can technically skip the Pterodactyl and not be missing out on too much imo. my only complaint is that the Pterodactyl feels like its too expensive compared to what the rest of the zords contribute to the combined mode, other than that the final product looks very good and better than I initially thought.
Yummyjuice16 is back Well you have to remember the Zords are also alien based, so they won't look exactly like Dinosaurs or those toys they used in the original series, which was cheap as shit.
So they obviously weren't based on the real things walking on Earth in that time, right? Ok, I know, a Mastodon wasn't a typical dinosaur, but they got even a Triceratops wrong, with 6 legs. Do the aliens have a different counting system, or even rather different sense of reality? Kinda warped reality or something?
It just looks so cheaply made and you have to buy it separately hoping you can find all the pieces definitely not getting it based off the prices that's just me
Here is my theory why two version of the Megazords are different. The interactive Megazord is actually Megazord 1.0, build during Zordon ranger days. It might be destroyed during Rita betrayal by her or Goldar. The destroyed megazord 1.0 was rebuild into separate zords to combat reborn Goldar. This explain why two Megazords are vastly different in term of build and design.

I don't know why but I seem to enjoy the mastodon zord most. its strange how it has 8 legs and looks like a spider, but I love the alien design and the mastodon was my favorite with the original megazord. Also I hate the holes on the megazord chest and how this can fall apart easily.
I thought investing in all of the canon Dino Charge Zords was a pain....(I might have missed out on Titano....He's the LAST Zord I need to complete my collection)
At first i though "hey it's a happy meal toy" Then sh..t happends when i saw the price.. 😂 Better request this one to JobbytheHong channel for an honest funny review Lolz!
It also costs too much for what it is worth. The quality of the materials is unmistakable, the transformation into megazord is almost a jigsaw puzzle where you smack and reinvent. If we look at the latest Robots, sometimes pacchiani and too "loads", it was a pleasure to see them transform.
You know, now that I think about it. I actually would have liked it if the zords were insects! It would be quite unique and interesting to see! For that price, for EACH piece I expected articulation and was sorely disapointed. From the transformers lines we know that it was possible. And the design could have been great with it. I would have not at all minded some partsforming either.

flclfan85 Yeah I think with this approach to selling the zords, most parents are just gonna buy their kids' favorite(s). Most of them probably won't complete the set.

I like this thing the more I see it. Visually, I prefer this over the Interactive version as there are much more visual connections that can be made with the original Megazord that it's paying homage to. But arguably, the Interactive version probably makes for the better toy. The stability of the combiner is worrying, and although the size of this big giant thing is appealing in a way, it's not going to be easy to store or display. I have the T-Rex, but I'm not sure whether to get the other Zords or hold out for a smaller version.
Hell yeah I love your videos man. You bring back childhood memories from the Power Rangers. And I'm 32 years old and I still collect Power Rangers lmao
A Megazord with articulated limbs?! Wow. At least you can mod them to have a more conventional number of legs. This actually looks pretty badass, though with a couple of flaws. I imagine someone will do a higher-quality version for the more discerning collector, but I gotta say I'm kinda looking forward to seeing these in the UK.
If it has issues keeping the upper body on, maybe try using some of those clear hair bands that you can get from pretty much any store for around $2. They're virtually identical to the ones used to package toys for years.
The Power Rangers Movie Mastadon looks more like a Rhinoceros Beetle than a Spider. But since it has eight legs it should be called Mastadon Rhino Spider Hybrid Zord. Ha Nailed It!
I liked seeing the old school zords. The PR movie zord disappoints me. I'm not taking away from the enjoyment for those who saw the movie, but there should have been transformation instead of separation (except for the mastodon). Thanks for sharing this all the same.
Gonna be honest, while I'm not a fan of how the Sabre Tooth Tiger and T-Rex combine, I REALLY LOVE this thing! Maybe he is a bit too big, but I honestly don't mind too much, I just LOVE how he looks. I REALLY do wanna collect them all now. I got the T-Rex zord for Christmas, so glad I got the most expensive one out of the way. I'll probably just pick them up one by one throughout 2017 as long as they stick around for the whole year or so. I don't mind them being $20 each, but I don't see myself getting all of them at once. So I'm gonna buy them seperately with each visit at Toys R Us once I start seeing them.
This is certainly an interesting looking Megazord that reminds of how Michael Bay's team re-imagined Transformers aesthetics. Not the usual, but one can get to it, especially as all of the animal design liberties are clearly to underline the alien nature of the technology used to build this robot. Considering the quality standards and prices of toys today, the budget one needs to pour into this is also not surprising, but at least it's rather imposing when fully assembled.
It really looks cool, but I hope they come out with another version with more paint details and lots of articulation...can't wait to see what it looks like in the movie
Do you still have the Imaginext giant Megazord playset? Which is bigger? Plus you could display the Battle Zords separately, though they look like they could do with a customer paint job. They're pretty naked straight from the box.
Wow... how did I manage to miss that?! Did you go back in time and add that in for my sake? :D Haha, thanks for pointing that out! Keep up the great work & remember me if you eve decide to sell that hoodie. ;)
love the way that bandai painted the color, because when you combinded them into the megazord, it is easier to tell what is what because the one that release earlier when you look at it, you could'n tell which zord is which !!!
More than likely it'll be the interactive one. I feel like the combining zords are just here for the sake of having a combining Megazord, since the texturing on the interactive one can't really be done with the combining zords. Same with the feet both being the same, having the thrusters, etc.
Ooooh Bruno...you're gonna get in trouble! Bandai, who you obviously work for and schill for, is gonna be mad you did a less than flattering review! I mean, you pointed out flaws and issues! I'm sure Saban, who you also work for, is gonna be mad too. :-p
Ya I can see a bit of inspiration from that movie, and that's what I expected, that's what everyone kinda expected, and it turned out wicked. How do you know Kimberly's Zord has no purpose, have you seen the movie?
adamJcarter in the toys her zord has no point, it forms wings a 2nd sword (you do not need to buy it to for a robot, unlike the original Dino Zords that if you lost/misplaced Kimberly's Zord it's missing a chest)
CHASEMARC yeah, but how many zords have had no real purpose? The yellow zord from mystic force comes to mind, as well as the blue overdrive zord, and the black shuttle from in space. So I mean it's not unheard of for the main megazords to have a almost useless zord in the toy.
tgiacin435 True maybe I'm just an old school Zyuranger fan, and wanted to see the old looking Zords (IE: Man in Suit) back. I'll watch the movies but the toy line, unless they make a standard sized Zord (to scale with the current toys from Ninja Steel, or in scale with the old MMPR Dino Zords) i'll be skipping these
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and I thought the Megazord was kinda neat. But this execution... hoo boy. I'm pretty sure recent stuff like this is why they parted ways with Bandai. Here's to hoping Hasbro can deliver the goods.
Thank you for this video. I just bought this Megazord from Toys R Us before they close forever and the paper instruction that came with it are not very helpful. This video was helpful so thank you again.
my thoughts on the new zords is what a waste. it's not even anything remotely close to the original dino megazord it looks like something ripped off from pacific rim in my opinion.as for the figures, they all look terrible.seen them at our wal-mart today. not even worth buying them.
I bought this zord. so busy with work and kids cant wait to put it together. Hopefully this weekend we are going to binge watch tge rest of power rangers. mighty morphin season 1to3. kids are excited.
Saw the last T-Rex marked down to $35 at WalMart, decided to pick it up. I really don't need that big ol' Megazord taking up space, but I'm dying to customize this Rex for my Forever Red collection. He'll look really nice when he's screen accurate, it's just a shame there's only 1-2 poses he'll be in.
You thumbed up your own comment. I'm not convinced you saw the movie, did you? Most people who gave it a chance loved it. It was a great origins story. The toys on the other hand...
are you kidding now bruno.i know many guys including me who hate this movie.first of all the actors are so horrible.did y see any fight in this movie;;;nooooo.only blah blah blah.2 hours movie and only 7 minutes fight.ok.you love power rangers and i love them t but this movie was really a piece of shit
@@DonoZeek Wouldn't you say it was specifically what Power Rangers is? They did take a more serious tone... but then again, every fan favorite season did the same. They could have used more in-suit stuff though. I enjoyed the movie but I think many fans just wanted spandex and lots of it.
The mastodon has a catapult which is used in the Roman times to launch burning coal shapes into a giant sphere or even boulders to put a boast into the another kingdom
Mastodon looks like a beetle if you position it right, triceratops looks like a shark with horns and legs, and pterodactyl looks like a jet. Good job, toy company
Good video dude, just recently bought one for my nephew. I also hate the fact , where you connect the red with the yellow it such a weak connection that I thought I might be doing something wrong and came to youtube to see if I was missed a Connection to make it more sturdy. Thanks for video made me feel better about my buildings skills . It was just that dam toy
Many issues I have with these. 1) They're partformers. You have to break them appart in order to combine them. 2) The final result will not be what appears in the movie. Because they are partformers, it is kinda evident that the Movie version of the Megazord transforms in a non-mechanical way, which makes its translation to a toy difficult. Evident in that the head is PINK, and that the INTERACTIVE MEGAZORD has both feet painted blue, while its shins are black. 3) They're evocative of Bayformers. Many sour memories are brought up because of that.
Not even lying. Found it at Kroger grocery store, $11.50 per zord. T-rex had to get on ebay. Got one for $26. This thing is ginormous. Miss the days where it all stayed together and not take off 1,000 pieces. Who engineered this thing?
Those days never left. The movie Zords were weird. The current season (Ninja Steel) is like any other. Really, I don't know what they were thinking with the Movie Zords. I LOVED the movie, but they messed up with the Zords, both the toys, and not having a proper transformation sequence in the movie. That's really too bad.
It made sense because its what you knew growing up. It makes no sense. Why did he have no legs but every other animal was a animal with mech features and billys zord was a mech with animal features.
Funny how people think that made sense, but a few extra legs doesn't, smh! people just wanna nitpick about anything, just to find reasons to hate the new design, which I think looks so cool!
MahdiRanger That's just semantics... it doesn't matter if it's a mech with animal features or an animal with mech features. Now putting extra legs on isn't a mech or a triceratop/mastadon feature which is why those new zords don't make sense. Regardless I do think the new designs are cool. My biggest gripe is that the toy should have been better made with more paint and better plastic quality.
Putting wheels on a triceratops made no sense either. You just liked it because you were a kid lol. Trust if the 93 zord came out now the internet fans would been whining "why do the others have legs!" The paint and quality really is just how Bandai america has been for several years now. Since the Overdrive toys its been down hill.
I reinforce the Sabertooth tiger area for the Megazord with rubber bands. One fed through the T-Rex leg hole found on the Megazord chest, and have the other stretching across, and slung over the Megazords neck.
If I'm spending $120 on a Deluxe Megazord, I'd expect it to freaking transform. Or hell, look somewhat sturdy and not like it'll collapse if I look at it funny.

It really looks cool, but I hope they come out with another version with more paint details and lots of articulation...can't wait to see what it looks like in the movie
great, closer view of the zords. thanks guys!
Do you still have the Imaginext giant Megazord playset? Which is bigger?
Plus you could display the Battle Zords separately, though they look like they could do with a customer paint job. They're pretty naked straight from the box.
Check out *THIS* video! :) Less than 20 seconds in will answer your question. :)
Wow... how did I manage to miss that?! Did you go back in time and add that in for my sake? :D
Haha, thanks for pointing that out! Keep up the great work & remember me if you eve decide to sell that hoodie. ;)
love the way that bandai painted the color, because when you combinded them into the megazord, it is easier to tell what is what because the one that release earlier when you look at it, you could'n tell which zord is which !!!
Since when does a mastodon have 8 legs and a triceratops have 6
Thanks, my grandson and I had fun putting ours together !
Fucking rip off, $120? lmao no thanks. cheap looking toys with no paint job.
NightSyndicate ikr. Even I could do a better job with that
That's cool. pterodactyl comes with a putty and mastodon comes with a spider net 😁
its only me that thinks Mastodon zord looks like a beetle?
Victor Samuel Oliveira Da Silva I know right? since when the mastedon is a freaking spider or beetle!?
Victor Samuel Oliveira Da Silva I know right? since when the mastedon is a freaking spider or beetle!?
Victor Samuel Oliveira Da Silva Well, the Zords were created by aliens, so its not suprising that they had resemblance to alien creatures.
Thank you for being a collector. Seeing your shelves made me feel giddy & bubbly inside.
I wonder which megazord is more accurate?
More than likely it'll be the interactive one. I feel like the combining zords are just here for the sake of having a combining Megazord, since the texturing on the interactive one can't really be done with the combining zords. Same with the feet both being the same, having the thrusters, etc.

Ooooh Bruno...you're gonna get in trouble! Bandai, who you obviously work for and schill for, is gonna be mad you did a less than flattering review! I mean, you pointed out flaws and issues! I'm sure Saban, who you also work for, is gonna be mad too.
:-p
I hope I don't get fired! :-p
You better say good things about the movie, or it's thin ice for you! LOL
It looks terrible, like it belongs in the movie Pacific Rim, and Kimberly's Zord has no real purpose. This one I'll skip
I'll watch the movies but the toy line, unless they make a standard sized Zord (to scale with the current toys from Ninja Steel, or in scale with the old MMPR Dino Zords) i'll be skipping these
I figure the crew behind Pacific Rim would make a more believable zord. These toys look like James Cameron had a new idea for Avatar.
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and I thought the Megazord was kinda neat. But this execution... hoo boy.
I'm pretty sure recent stuff like this is why they parted ways with Bandai. Here's to hoping Hasbro can deliver the goods.
Am I the only person who actually liked this?
No
Ok :P
Tomas1235 Winslat I am happy with it especially when it is now at 79.99 at Toys R US
My friend James instead of collecting cords he actually got the whole Megazord and the Zords even come off
Not worth those prices!!!!!
$20 each for such cheap toys?, they look like bootleggs
Holy crap!! That thing is massive. Makes me rethink about getting that smaller figure version.
It's Dinozords Bruno, not Battle Zords!
When in doubt, check out the box! :) If that's what they're calling it, that's what I'm going to say in the review. New movie, not 93 show.
Check the packages they're labeled: (Zord Name) Battle Zord.
But they're Dinozords, always have been always will be, no PR fan would say "We need Battle Zord power, now!" period!
Vaughn Baskin I don't think a dinozord can have 8 legs :-(
Keep in mind he's reviewing the toys so it makes more sense to use the products proper names.
Even for Power Rangers toys these look cheap and terrible.
I like those micro figures though...
Let the japanese design the zords...
This transformation is diabolical
Man this looks so crappy and horribly designed, and ridiculously overpriced.
If this is what the actually movie zord looked like and had a sweet transformation to it I think we’d be having a sequel
20 dollars is way overpriced for hunks of plastic that offers little to no articulation and is barely playable without the entire overpriced set
Second most favorite zords ever. Tied for first place is every other zord thus far.
I did not like the new powerangers movie it looked kinda lame
You thumbed up your own comment. I'm not convinced you saw the movie, did you? Most people who gave it a chance loved it. It was a great origins story. The toys on the other hand...
are you kidding now bruno.i know many guys including me who hate this movie.first of all the actors are so horrible.did y see any fight in this movie;;;nooooo.only blah blah blah.2 hours movie and only 7 minutes fight.ok.you love power rangers and i love them t but this movie was really a piece of shit
@@MMPRtoys pls don't lie or be biased. It was ok but was truly disappointing. The Megazord, outfit, the plot, the overuse of CGI and the villains.
@@MMPRtoys it didn't had the feeling of power rangers. They had the costume, name, and Megazord but not what power rangers is
@@DonoZeek Wouldn't you say it was specifically what Power Rangers is? They did take a more serious tone... but then again, every fan favorite season did the same. They could have used more in-suit stuff though. I enjoyed the movie but I think many fans just wanted spandex and lots of it.
Wow Im like not even 5 minutes away from that Target. I could of met you! Awesome review!
Your first line summed up my thought: That is a big, giant......'thing'...
Don Onitaijin before Don Onitaijin.
I can't wait to see what Dragonzord look like & 👀 if they can combine
man I got chills when I saw your collection... woww
hehe thanks :)
It's crazy how toys from the 90 look better than toys now
The original triceratops made sense to me. It was like part dinosaur and part tank/robot which is exactly what it's supposed to be lol.
Trust if the 93 zord came out now the internet fans would been whining "why do the others have legs!"
The paint and quality really is just how Bandai america has been for several years now. Since the Overdrive toys its been down hill.
MahdiRanger If the quality is like this, it would've been better if they just made it smaller like their other megazords and sell it in one set.
This is what I actually expected for Christmas…
I reinforce the Sabertooth tiger area for the Megazord with rubber bands. One fed through the T-Rex leg hole found on the Megazord chest, and have the other stretching across, and slung over the Megazords neck.
"Stick your finger in there and it launches"
Sounds like my first time.
Maybe Legacy will do their own actually transforming Movie Megazord? Who knows, but I can see how it could work!
Triceratops zord has 6. Awesome, but kinda alien
#Cool.
#Cant wait.
#Power Iron Rangers.
