Regarding your "h" tree...sometimes trees will grow out of old stumps. After shooting up from the stump they send out their own roots that will eventually reach the ground and take hold. When the mother stump eventually decays, what's left is the tree that grew from it standing on its own two legs; so to speak. Thanks for a great video. Take care and until next time...be well.

That's so unfortunate the clouds rolled in on you. I've been at that spot on a sunny day and it's absolutely gorgeous. For some reason there were dozens of lady bugs that were landing on all the people resting having lunch. Hope you get the chance to go back some day.

Attempted a start in Hot Springs this weekend but they were hit with a winter storm and every hiker was bunkered down for a few days. Doh.
