If only the show got this recognition from the start, then Catriona + Sam and prob a hell of a lot of others would’ve won/been nominated for Emmys+Golden Globes. I mean Sam alone in those final episodes of S1 was incredible. Acting rarely seen on tv anymore. Those first 2 seasons were truly something special and I hate that they never got the chance at those awards. Costume + Production design would’ve had a big shot at winning for season 2, with all the Paris+Highland costumes and settings. Not to mention writing, directing, and adaptations…. This show really did deserve more recognition. I’m happy it’s got some now. I love all the seasons but I just feel like those have been the most special, and very deserving of acknowledgement. Wow. around a month ago, caitriona balfe & sam heughan's screen test popped on my youtube reccs out of nowhere. i was curious so i clicked on it, and after seeing it i decided to watch outlander (also after years of being told to do so) and my god, after finishing the current seasons in eleven days i felt so many emotions that i never thought i would feel again. it's been many years since i was last invested in two characters and a ship that i am so glad jamie and claire came into my life like this, the passion, emotions, the intensity that cait and sam deliver onscreen is just too good that it sometimes made me forget they were only acting. the fact that these two have not gotten a single acting emmy nomination or award IS BEYOND ME given i've heard nothing but praise for their performances over the years.
I absolutely concur with you in every way. I haven't felt feelings like this in a long time, and the scenes in the prison were difficult for me to watch being a survivor of sexual abuse (I had to skip some scenes but I got the gist). The look of fear on Sam's face just wreaked havoc on my heart. He is so amazing and Caitriona as well. I have ancestors from Scotland so to learn about the history and the beauty of Scotland has inspired me to go visit. Thank you to the whole crew and team behind the scenes for this absolutely mind-blowing series of ups and downs and real emotion.
All the awards given to Sam & Caitriona are extremely well deserved, so pleased ‘Outlander’ received ‘The People’s Choice Award’ such phenomenal actors don’t come along that often, I have seen very few in my long life that compare to these adorable and endearing actors, the whole cast of ‘Outlander’ are ‘Outstanding’ and let’s not forget the entire crew that have worked so tirelessly in all weather to support such an amazing Series, all brought about by the brilliant imagination of Diana Gabaldon and her associates, Thank you 🙏 for sharing this wonderful compilation with ‘Outlanders’ fans! “👌” blessings from the U.K.🤗

I'm not at all into crazy shipping co-stars but considering their insane chemistry on and off screen and the fact that Sam is well... perfect and the two of them seem like a match made in heaven I wonder what was the factor tipping the scale in her husband's favor.
