Love your videos, very informative! I am currently moving from Oklahoma City and the taxes here are horrible, is it worse in Porland where I will be relocating?? So confusing these taxes are lol
It’s a mixed bag! Oregon does not have a sales tax, but income taxes are higher!
Would love to see a video about the Rouge Valley of Oregon
That’s a wonderful idea, thanks! I’ll add it to my list.
show more Oregon and less face / self ... clicked here to see Oregon not watch a lecture
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'll definitely try to show less of my face. 🤣
@@OregonLivingwithJessyRose you're cool, Rose. ♡
You really can’t digest info unless there’s graphic images accompanying it? Grow up. Not everything is gonna satiate your grade school brain. This video is amazingly informative and she did a great job.
I just went to Portland. Meant to stay in Hawthorne but I had to switch to downtown last second because of some other issues that messed things up for me. Sorry but downtown is Mad Max like. I walked with my wife and kids from our hotel (The Bidwell) to Powell’s Books and then to Luc Lac. In that 10-15 blocks I saw more terrifying stuff than a lifetime of walking in the east cities I’ve lived in. Public urination, defecation, people passed out on the streets, drug use and needles on sidewalks. And this was all before 5:00 pm in broad daylight. I really wanted to like Portland, and outside of downtown it was charming. But if you’re being honest, downtown is an apocalyptic hellscape right now.
I lived downtown for almost a decade and there are a few places I will no longer walk- unfortunately the area around Powell's Books is one of them. Luc Lac is one of my favorite restaurants, I hope you enjoyed it!!
White privledged peoples problems
lol..that sucks. I'm heading to portland in a few days and I have reservations at the hyatt which is less that half a mile from Powells books. I was wondering why I got such a good deal!
@@CarlosPfister Aw man, I’m sorry about that!! It’s not all bad! I would Uber at night, and ask the hotel staff about what routes you should take when walking. there are some really great breweries (breweries in Oregon have great food, not just beer) and art galleries within walking distance.
Thank you for the video I truly enjoyed hearing your perspective. Me and the family are moving to Beaverton Oregon within the next two years. Hearing the cons people have makes me laugh at times because I grew up in the Bronx nyc and the cons here are much worse. All big cities have their issues but try NYC or LA you’ll realize Portland isn’t that bad.
